Reservations suggested for parties of six or more and special occasions. Due to weather, reservations are not available in the outdoor courtyard or rooftop biergarten.
The Millworks is a brewery and restaurant serving all local and sustainable dishes. We have a full bar with an outdoor biergarten and three art galleries with 18 artist studios... all under one roof.
Our mission here at the Millworks is a simple one: to create a regional destination which showcases Central Pennsylvania’s wonderful artistic talents as well as our region’s bountiful, sustainable agriculture.
We loved how friendly and helpful our server was with our table. Really enjoyed the evening. Food was amazing as always.
Don't often make it out to Harrisburg, but this will be the restaurant I plan to go to any time I'm out there in the future. Great food, great looking place with some cool little shops out front, and all the waitstaff were great. Didn't realize it was a brewery when booking but the beers were pretty good too.
We have never had a meal here we didn't like. We often recommend Millworks to friends. We really enjoy the 'farm to table' fresh food.
The Millworks was ok but just not our cup of tea. The food was ok, but the selection for what we like was limited. It is attractively done but quite noisy.
My family spent the weekend in Harrisburg on vacation. Our party consisted of five people ranging in age from 4 to 90 years old and one vegetarian. Finding a place for everyone to eat is always a challenge, but Millworks delivered.
The building itself was incredibly cool with artists residences, galleries and shops inside. The beer was great and our server was very knowledgeable. My 90 year old dad rarely drinks beer, but he loved what Millworks was pouring.
The food was fantastic. Clearly made with care. Recommendations from our server were spot-on. Dessert was also great.
A major shout out to the person who concocted the idea of giving children not only crayons, but also some house-made playdough to entertain them at the table. My daughter spent the entire time playing with that stuff and it's probably the best idea I've seen in a while -- every place should do it.
My wife asked for glaze not to be put on steak. Server forgot to tell kitchen, although she had checked to see whether flour and sugar (no-nos for my wife) were in the glaze. Server admitted to us she forgot to tell kitchen, which I give her credit for. However, a manager never visited us to see what could be done to compensate for this problem. That is inexcusable.
Loud. Food not that good. Service terrific. Like it but it’s not really calling us back.
Harrisburg has truly started turning around and have gems like these to switch up your weekend or any occasions. I had a great brunch with great staff to match. Will be returning!
Haven’t been in a while. Menu had so many wonderful choices it was hard to decide. Food all came out delectable.
Our server Paige was extremely wonderful. We really enjoyed our night at the Millworks. We were a party of four. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Thanks!
I loved how there were various areas to eat at (rooftop, dining room). The brisket pizza with blue cheese was delicious! We will definitely be back!
Service was very slow , food was delicious though. Our waitress was very nice but restaurant seemed short staffed! Loud as always, but we do like the food! Disappointed on dessert selection, not even ice cream was available!
Would highly recommend The Millworks. Great atmosphere and service.
We were a group of 8 and the service was as prompt and attentive as when I am there with just one or two other people. Millworks remains at the top of my list!
Yummm! We had a business meal here with 7 people. We were seated quickly. (Had reservations.). Server was very friendly and very attentive. We had great drinks some shared apps and dinner. It was very very good. I picked this place cause it seemed like it has a rather different and cool vibe. It didn’t disappoint neither did the food and drinks. Definitely worth a visit. Enjoy!
Good, hip off the beaten path in an artsy developing area of Harrisburg Stopped on way home from a long drive. Locally source foods, in an art gallery and have their own brewery. Had the perogies and pulled pork pizza - enough for 2 to share. Brought home a 6 of their Oktoberfest lager beer - tasty, not hoppy - a slightly thinner version of Sam Adams
The Millworks continues to provide great food , atmosphere and surroundings.
The wait staff is always on the ball and never overbearing.
This is one of two go to restaurants for us.
Thank , we do appreciate you.
Sitting outside was lovely and quiet.
Portions of food at this establishment are getting smaller.
Food was cold upon receiving it.
Waitress seemed to forget about us, then asked us if we wanted to 'chill for a bit'. Discouraging when you are watching tables around you have patrons be served, leace, and new patrons come in while you are still waiting for your meal.
As a person with Celiac and other dietary restrictions, the menu had many options. I was happy to learn that the fried green tomatoes are gluten-free and they were excellent. I was there with my 4 daughters and we all give high marks for the food as well as the cocktails.
Millworks has been a consistently great restaurant since it opened. The service is amazing and so is the food and ambiance. Highly recommend it!!
We eat here often, and we have never been disappointed. The food is great, and their own made draft beer is very good.
Excellent service , wonderful atmosphere, and delicious food ! So glad we chose this place when visiting from out of town !
Our server was very accommodating. My sister thought the pasta special was a bit heavy, but had excellent flavor. The scallop meal was very good, but the polenta was a bit much; perhaps, a green veggie with it. The meatloaf and mashies were perfect and the cobb salad was fine.
Normally I love the Millworks but Saturday night we had a reservation for 6 and at the very last minute my daughter and her friend surprised us from DC and wanted to join us. My mother who is 90 and sister were visiting us from NY and we were all so happy to be gathered together but the hostess simply told us they could not accommodate a party of 8 unless we wanted to climb the step to the roof which was not an option for my Mom. They also said we could wait indefinitely for an open table of 8 and this also was not an option since we had 2 grandchildren with us as well. We split up and sat in our booth while my daughter and friend ate at the bar. I was disappointed that no effort was made to even attempt for us to sit together. Good food is important but customer service is what brings me back and I probably will not return any time soon.
Just Saturday lunch outside on the lower Biergarten- excellent as always!!
prompt seating for reservation. food and drink good as usual. wish more of the studios were open on weekend evenings
We had an excellent birthday dinner at the Millworks. Service and atmosphere was superb. The food is very good, but I would like to see some menu changes, such as adding a brisket sandwich and/or platter. Their home-smoked brisket (and pulled pork) is/are wonderful, but the brisket is only served on their pizza.
Love the outdoor seating and the food is amazing!!
Everything about this restaurant was awesome except the horribly uncomfortable wooden chairs.still in pain 2 days later.
The Millworks is another feather in Harrisburg's dining cap. The food selection, quality, service and ambiance make it a great place for lunch or dinner with friends. We met a couple from York for dinner Saturaday. They had not heard about it before and vowed to return at the next opportunity. One disappointment: The Millworks does not have a entree featuring meat from the smoker that occupies the front walk near the entrance and teases everyone with the aroma of smoking beef and pork. Those items only can be found on the appetizer menu and as a pizza topping.
Great local food!
The food was ahhhhhmazing. Service was fast and the price was reasonable. Atmosphere is great
Great food and service. We will be back. Why does the review have to be 50 characters????
Our server was awesome! Food was great as was the wine.
Great food, great service, great venue
Great food, great service, great experience!
Really enjoy the samples they offer before ordering a beer. The server was very attentive and friendly.
Food and drink were utterly fantastic. This is now my favorite place in Harrisburg when we’re in town visiting family.
Food is always delicious. Our server was Connor who was a peach. The atmosphere was nice. We always enjoy coming here.
Dinner was very good - not the best meal I ate this week but good.
