5 good friends met for our monthly girls lunch. It was a beautiful day so we ate outside. Food was excellent, and our waiter David was very attentive and helpful. We recommend this restaraunt!
Great all around! Chef is incredible!! I had the best fried green tomatoes if my life! Literally returned the next day for lunch to try another dish.
The food was below average and the service was slow. We did brunch and I wasn’t impressed at all. The idea and concept of the restaurant is super cool but not worth your money. We won’t be back!
Food and service was good. Have had dinner there before and that was always very good, but this was the first time for breakfast/lunchtime and it was just as good.
Had lunch on the outdoor patio. The citrus shrimp salad was perfect - light, healthy and tasty. I've come here many, many times and never been disappointed. Highly recommend it.
I have mixed emotions. My waitress was awesome in the beginning. Then as soon as we got our dinner I think she forgot about us. She finally came over after we were done for quite a bit and I was trying to complain about the dish, lobster mac n cheese was spicy when no spice was mentioned in the menu. She apologized, and asked if I'd like to get a to go of the correct macaroni and I accepted. I ate it next day and was just noodles and cheese, no lobster to be found. They gave us a free dessert for it being our anniversary. After that she brought my mac n cheese out and we were ready for the check. She disappeared for at least 10-15 minutes and no check. She passed us and I had to ask her for it and finally got it another 5 minutes later. A dinner that should have taken 1hr-1.5 hrs lasted over 2 hours, more waiting time than actua eatting. The food was good, minus the spicy mac n cheese. Service not so great. Everyone has a rough day, I assume that was the deal.
We had our wedding service here two years ago today and thought we'd come back to celebrate our anniversary. The fried chicken which was moist and a hit at our wedding dinner was tough and dry. My wife ordered sushi and the rice was unrecognizable. I guess when the economy is booming standards fall. Sadly we agreed we won't be back.
The Mill is in such a great location with one of the best patios in all of Roswell. We are happy that the good food and service are back, and the Mill is all-around good again.
Not crowded at all....but very, very, very, very slow service.
Food was good though.
The Mill was a great experience. From the time we arrived until we left everyone felt welcomed. Our waiter was extremely experienced and made the night very enjoyable. The bourbon menu was varied and unique. It was hard choosing between the bison and the lamb and chose the bison which was prepared perfectly. Recommend The Mill Kitchen highly.
We found The Mill Kitchen and Bar through the Atlanta Eats TV program. Though highly touted in the review, the review did not match the reality. Food was good, but it was service was among the worst we have had in Atlanta. Slow service and a surly bartender who did not want to make a drink as ordered. Even a visit at the table from the manager did not improve the service. At the table, we ordered the sea bass, NY strip steak, and fried chicken. All were good.
Have been to The Mill twice in the last week and will be back. Staff is very friendly and accommodating! Big food menu, lots of choices. The patio is gorgeous!
Fabulous Easter brunch!
This was our second year having a family Easter brunch at The Mill. The food was excellent, the service was attentive, and the kids loved seeing the Easter Bunny. We will definitely be back!
Wonderful Easter brunch! We came here last year for Easter brunch and it was so good that we decided to return. My family and myself enjoyed the buffet. It was the first time I tried their fried chicken and I was not disappointed. We had wonderful service. Thanks again!
Easter dinner. Two servers and buffet. Had to wait for tea refills. We were sat right by the buffet since there were 7. That was disappointing as it was Easter dinner and I reserved long ahead. However. I did change from 5 to 7 about a week before. I gave one of the servers my credit card and asked if I could sign away from the table so no one argued about the check. However, the other server brought it and plopped it down in front of me. I got there early to speak to them but it still wasn’t right. I will still come back as I love the setting but servers may need more training?? All they had to do was refill and pick up plates. I had to get up and go sign check by the hostess station. Sigh. Maybe you were understaffed??
Delicious food, upbeat and cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. We will frequent the Mill more often.
Patio is beautiful but loud street noise.
We did not enjoy the food at all. Some of our favorite places to eat in Roswell are Roux, Little Alley, and Thai Rice so we decided to branch out and try The Mill. The food was over priced and bland. We felt like it wasn’t for us and that given the positive reviews maybe we ordered incorrectly. We won’t be back...ever...and I’m still sad about what I could have spent our money on besides that meal.
Fantastic combination of good service, great food, and simple menu. Every item on the menu looked fantastic for Brunch and I would recommend anyone who has the chance give this place a shot.
We really enjoy The Mill. The fried pimento fritters are a great start and the best brussel sprouts in Atlanta. (Better than Hal's and Capital Grill) The steaks are always tender and juicy, almost melt in your mouth. The kitchen does not mind accommodating special requests (within reason) for vegetarians or food allergies. Very cozy atmosphere with wonderful outside patio. Patio has a wood burning fireplace with inviting furniture for a cocktail after dinner. Highly recommend.
Everything served is farm to table sourcing everything as locally as possible.
Overall not a good experience. Booked for a birthday dinner with Open Table (even wrote in bday dinner). We were sat for 20 minutes without even a greet or water from anyone...ended up having to go to hostess stand to ask to send a server our way. An inexperienced server casually pours us water without any introduction or apology for the wait- asked where the lamb was from he has no idea. Went to check. More waiting. Never comes back with an answer. A different server comes to rescue us. More waiting. Drinks took forever (subpar). Food took forever (very subpar). 300$ bill for 6 people with terrible service and average food. Will not be back for recommend. The Mill has potential but needs to get their act together in the kitchen and on the floor.
Had dinner with some friends and we all came away impressed. Great food and service.
We were sat immediately upon arrival. The room was very large and very noisy. The food and service was good. OK value.
Our server was amazing. She knew the menu well. She was attentive and friendly.
The service was perfect! I had the shrimp and grits and my husband ordered the special, Opah fish dish. We were not a huge fan of either. It wasn't bad, just wasn't for us.
The food and service was absolutely excellent. The sun room is the perfect place to dine as it brightened our meal and spirits. Loved the place and will be Back! They made my birthday meal exceptional. Thank You!
We have been to this restaurant couple times and always had a good experience. This time, the food was really good and our waiter was awesome too. However, the restaurant need to hire a better bus person. Upon arrival, we found our chairs were covered in crumbs, there were food scraps on the floor, the table was scattered with salt and one dish on our table had juice stains on it. Also, when the busser brought out our food, he was trying to do too many dishes at the same time and one of our dish got really close to his body, we can literally see the sauce from our plate stained his shirt.....Our server did his best to clean the table for us and I just discard the food that touched the busser’s shirt. I hope we can see service improve from this time in the future.
The patio was really nice. The place was very busy, but we still got great service. Brunch only was offered, and selections were limited but all 4 of us enjoyed our meals. Loved their Bloody Mary Bar.
The brunch was amazing
The food was amazing. we went for brunch and it was a beautiful day outside which helped the ambiance on the porch.
In general I love the Mill, even more so when we can sit outside. That said, for whatever reason I seem to get the server who is a little overloaded. We sat and watched 4 or 5 tables seated after us get water and drink orders taken. Finally flagged down a server who said she’d find our server and send her out. After that hiccup, all was well.
The food is good and high quality. We had brunch and all was cooked to perfection except my girl friend ordered her eggs scrambled lightly or soft and they came out too dry.
The meat was good as were the grits and potatoes. I considered a BLT but was unsure. The table adjacent got a BLT and it was huge.
One thing I would say is if you just want eggs and meat, look at the ala carte menu. If you add up everything that’s on the “package” there isn’t a price break. I didn’t want a biscuit so that saved me $3.00.
Last, had OJ and coffee. Both we’re excellent and a generous. The coffee cups are large so you aren’t constantly flagging down a server for refills.
We had a party of 10 on St. Patrick’s day for a birthday. The food was great and so was the service. We were seated right when we walked in. Food was all as ordered and seemed to come out fast. They were out of the scallops and two beers which kind of sucked but we understood. Well definitely be back. This was my first time for dinner but I’ve gone for brunch several times.
First timer and will definitely go back. The food was great and fresh. The atmosphere was fun!
While we had a good time and the service was awesome, the food was definitely not worth the price paid for what we received. At the price of $40, a steak has to be exceptional as I expected when I ordered it. It was not, but was average at best! Other members of our party ordered the special which was a Hawaiian style fish with rice which was $36. Again, while it was not bad, it was definitely not worth that high of a price for what was served with regards to taste and uniqueness. The food quality was similar in quality for what you would expect at a chain restaurant, but was triple the price. That being said - the restaurant atmosphere and service were outstanding and we had a wonderful time celebrating my wife's birthday there. I only wish this restaurant would have more reasonable prices or up the quality of what is served.
Excellent food as always. Great service. The pimento cheese fritters are delish.
The food was great! Even my picky eaters were pleased:)
Kristen our waitress was terrific. The food as always was frwsh, local and delicious. Only downside were some loud adjoining tables.
I had the shrimp and grits for lunch a few weeks ago and ordered it again Sun. I thought it wasn't as good the 2nd time and portion was smaller. My friend has eggs benidict . The eggs were overcooked and she prefers it on an English muffin. Ambience nice, a little noisy on porch.
Drinks over priced. Server Margaret was very good.
