The food and service was absolutely excellent. The sun room is the perfect place to dine as it brightened our meal and spirits. Loved the place and will be Back! They made my birthday meal exceptional. Thank You!
We have been to this restaurant couple times and always had a good experience. This time, the food was really good and our waiter was awesome too. However, the restaurant need to hire a better bus person. Upon arrival, we found our chairs were covered in crumbs, there were food scraps on the floor, the table was scattered with salt and one dish on our table had juice stains on it. Also, when the busser brought out our food, he was trying to do too many dishes at the same time and one of our dish got really close to his body, we can literally see the sauce from our plate stained his shirt.....Our server did his best to clean the table for us and I just discard the food that touched the busser’s shirt. I hope we can see service improve from this time in the future.
The patio was really nice. The place was very busy, but we still got great service. Brunch only was offered, and selections were limited but all 4 of us enjoyed our meals. Loved their Bloody Mary Bar.
The brunch was amazing
The food was amazing. we went for brunch and it was a beautiful day outside which helped the ambiance on the porch.
In general I love the Mill, even more so when we can sit outside. That said, for whatever reason I seem to get the server who is a little overloaded. We sat and watched 4 or 5 tables seated after us get water and drink orders taken. Finally flagged down a server who said she’d find our server and send her out. After that hiccup, all was well.
The food is good and high quality. We had brunch and all was cooked to perfection except my girl friend ordered her eggs scrambled lightly or soft and they came out too dry.
The meat was good as were the grits and potatoes. I considered a BLT but was unsure. The table adjacent got a BLT and it was huge.
One thing I would say is if you just want eggs and meat, look at the ala carte menu. If you add up everything that’s on the “package” there isn’t a price break. I didn’t want a biscuit so that saved me $3.00.
Last, had OJ and coffee. Both we’re excellent and a generous. The coffee cups are large so you aren’t constantly flagging down a server for refills.
We had a party of 10 on St. Patrick’s day for a birthday. The food was great and so was the service. We were seated right when we walked in. Food was all as ordered and seemed to come out fast. They were out of the scallops and two beers which kind of sucked but we understood. Well definitely be back. This was my first time for dinner but I’ve gone for brunch several times.
First timer and will definitely go back. The food was great and fresh. The atmosphere was fun!
While we had a good time and the service was awesome, the food was definitely not worth the price paid for what we received. At the price of $40, a steak has to be exceptional as I expected when I ordered it. It was not, but was average at best! Other members of our party ordered the special which was a Hawaiian style fish with rice which was $36. Again, while it was not bad, it was definitely not worth that high of a price for what was served with regards to taste and uniqueness. The food quality was similar in quality for what you would expect at a chain restaurant, but was triple the price. That being said - the restaurant atmosphere and service were outstanding and we had a wonderful time celebrating my wife's birthday there. I only wish this restaurant would have more reasonable prices or up the quality of what is served.
Excellent food as always. Great service. The pimento cheese fritters are delish.
The food was great! Even my picky eaters were pleased:)
Kristen our waitress was terrific. The food as always was frwsh, local and delicious. Only downside were some loud adjoining tables.
I had the shrimp and grits for lunch a few weeks ago and ordered it again Sun. I thought it wasn't as good the 2nd time and portion was smaller. My friend has eggs benidict . The eggs were overcooked and she prefers it on an English muffin. Ambience nice, a little noisy on porch.
Drinks over priced. Server Margaret was very good.
Overall love this place. Food left a bit to be desired past two trips. Had a benedcit and my eggs were basically hardboiled... not the best brunch. Service was great and it is an awesome spot. Food has dropped off recently but still my go to brunch spot and I would recommend.
Awesome food selections! Crab cakes were phenomenal and hubby enjoyed the lamb.
Great brunch. Food was a little slow but we had good company and our waitress brought us some biscuits to tide us over. We always love our visit.
Great food, service and drinks! Becoming one of our favorite spots!
Love the ambiance but the food was average
We were there early in the evening at 5:45 on Saturday before the theatre. The noise level was unbearable. We were seated in the large room at the back with all the big tables. We were a foursome. My friend, who sat across the table from me, said she could hear another table better than me. You have a room at the front that we have eaten in and perhaps that area should be reserved for smaller groups.
We stepped out of the room before the check came because of the noise. We have eaten there several times before with theatre friends, however we may consider another sponsoring restaurant the next time. It was not a pleasant experience. I find it amusing that you have listed "quiet conversation" under what would you recommend this restaurant for. I would do the opposite and tell my friends if they wanted to converse that was not the place to go.
We sat outside, as Saturday was such a nice day. The street traffic was a bit loud at times for conversation purposes.
Our waiter was not overly friendly but rather seemed a bit bothered if we asked for anything out of order or special request. Not the best traits for a waiter and had we allowed it would have put a damper on our lunch.
Had a great time! My boyfriend and I don’t get out much since we’re in the industry as well, so this was a great experience for us! Only had one issue that the pimento cheese fritters were cold but it was all taken care of and taken off our bill! (Which we did not expect)! We will be back!
This was our first rime. Food was great & everyone was very nice. Will definitely be back to enjoy the patio when it gets warmer!
I ordered the Louisiana Low Country style Ramen! It was so great! I'd always stuck to my regular Japanese style Ramen with pork belly and a poached egg but this bowl had shrimp, crawfish, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, corn, and andouille sausage! It was so good. I would order it again for sure but I would rather try other things on the menu first. It was spicy, and made my nose run but in the best way possible! The whole vibe of the place was awesome, and I can tell that the outside seating would be great if the weather is warm. I can't wait to be back!
Great food and service. Been here for brunch several times. It is always great. Tried for our anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere. A little pricey but worth it.
Rebecca was so sweet and provided great service. Food was excellent and in fact I brought another friend back that night! Great experience, great food, great setting. I am required to eat gluten free...wonderful selection. I will return again and again!
Great food! I had the cornbread and the ancient grains meal with shrimp added, so delicious!
Best trout I have ever had. Service top notch. Affordable. What a find!
It was nice to arrive with reservations and not need to wait for our table. Everyone loved the fried pickles. The service was very attentive and friendly. The fried chicken was a hit 4 out of 6 of us had that and everyone enjoyed it.
Food is excellent
Food and service where outstanding.could not. Be any better.
Great brunch, all farm to table very clean fresh food. Best grits I have ever had.
My friends and I came to celebrate a birthday. The food was great and we had a number of interesting brunch choices - all of which were very tasty -- but what really stood out was the excellent care that David, our server, took to make sure we had a wonderful experience. He went above and beyond to see that we had everything we needed, helped us with the birthday cake and truly contributed to making it a fun day for all of us. Give that man a raise! Thanks, David, for helping us celebrate a fun occasion.
Our waiter was very nice (outside seating) on a Saturday night. Got seated at 6:45 pm-had reservations. The food was very good-steaks. But service, food delivery and service after food arrived was very slow. No bread, slow follow-up for drinks, ordered coffee with desserts, did not give us sugar or cream when coffee delivered, slow for check. Did notice, the crowd grew as time went on and the waiter was working a lot of tables and large capacity tables. Would go back, but not in a rush.
The Mill is a must try! Pimento Fritters are out of this world and we would go back just for those. Ambience and service were spot on! We will definitely go back.
Our waiter was great.. food was excellent. Wish we were able to sit outside but seats were all taken. Open table needs to give a choice on where to sit.
Menu is a little limited, but nice place to dine. Would not recommend for families with kids. Love the ambience, will definitely dine here again.
Very nice! Food was really good and fresh! Beautiful atmosphere whether dining inside or outside . Great steaks and desserts !
It was a great birthday celebration! The waiter was great and the food was sooo good!! Will go back again for sure!
Excellent service, food was great. We had some of the best drinks I’ve had in a while!
first time visit, loved the patio and the service was great!! will be back-thank you!!
