Great food. Beautiful atmosphere. Kind of noisy and a little chilly. Waitress was great but food took a while.
It was awful and we left after appetizers to go to the Drift for dinner because of the noise level. There was a party of at least 8 women next to us celebrating something with presents and loud talking, toasting or such. We could barely hear across our table. I love the Mill and chose it to take my sister to as a treat, along with my daughters, while she was visiting. Waitress and management was nice but not helpful in our situation. It gave us no choice but to leave. I will never come back during the holidays.
Took a family member and he loved the food. A vote for a restaurant I already loved. You
Once a year we travel to greater Atlanta to discover new southern dining gems.
Went to celebrate a birthday. The food and service were excellent. The room was rather noisy.
We had a wonderful dinner and visit with Santa tonight. Wonderful experience as always. Great family restaurant as well as date night or girls night. We love this place.
Thanksgiving. Ran out of soup mash potaties cranberries and sweet potatoes. Forgot stuffing on my daughters plate. No discount. Overpriced and mediocre. Never going back.
I would not recommend The Mill for a Thanksgiving meal. We had a reservation for 8 people way in advance, however when we arrived and were ordering we were informed that they were out of dark meat, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce , which basically comprised half of the meal. Our waiter shared that they did not have enough food because they had so many walk-ins that they had not anticipated. Hello, we had a reservation for 2 months ahead of time and they allowed too many walk-ins!! They must have run out of real mashed potatoes also, because they served us soupy instant mashed potatoes. The food was luke warm at best. We discussed it afterwards, and felt that they should have at least offered us a half price discount or at best gave us complimentary meals.
Our waitress was amazing (patient & very nice to us). We had two other employees ask us if we were satisfied with our experience as we dined and while we were retrieving our car from valet. Fantastic customer service!
Had a family dinner with 89 year old down to 20 somethings. Everyone found something they wanted to order. Three of us split an entree and the staff did that in the kitchen and served it nice and hot on its own plate. Such nice attention to detail!
Meet Long time friend for dinner while in town. Love the bar ambiance.
The Sunday brunch at The Mill is always excellent. I have tried 4-5 different options and all have been well worth it. My son and I sometime split the Gentleman's Breakfast (it's huge), or I'll get the Short Rib Skillet (my favorite), or the Chicken and Waffles is great. My wife goes with their Chicken Salad (off the lunch menu) or the Crabcake Benedict.
I went with a friend for lunch at 11:00 on Sat. Ordered the Fried Chicken off the lunch menu for $15
but realized later I was charged $23. I was picking up the check and didn't want to make my friend uncomfortable so I just paid it. In addition I had a glass of wine shown for $10 but the waiter brought a glass and a half without asking for $14. The meal was ok but nothing outstanding and if I ever do go there again, I wouldn't order that dish anyway. I'm not the complaining type. In fact this is the first review I've bothered to submit but I don't appreciate being over charged.
Very nice and accommodating place. Lovely hostess and wait staff. Good arrived in timely fashion. Good choices w several unique items. Will want to go back.
Great Service, good food and ambiance. Already recommended to others to try it out.
Enjoyed a nice meal at Mill Kitchen for my husband's birthday. We took our daughter so the kid's menu was helpful. We enjoyed the food, drinks and ambiance. Will definitely go back!
We had some big hits and some not as big successes. Sunday night was half price wine from a special list and it was a great deal. We also really enjoyed the blackened Brie appetizer. It was absolutely delicious. But unfortunately, my fried chicken was just “okay”. Not a lot of flavor in the tepid gravy which was amply spread over the top of the dish. So, would we go back? Definitely and probably on a Sunday again for the great deal on wine. And I will be dreaming about the blackened Brie. But no more fried chicken. My husband’s steak was delicious. Perhaps that will be my next meal there.
Great food and great customer service!
I’m really bummed to be writing such a negative review after being there today especially since my most recent visit was so wonderful. Today was a not a good visit to The Mill. The hostess was a grump. when I told her we were early(5 minutes) for our reservation and I kindly reminded her we had 2 children in the party to which she huffed and rolled her eyes. Our waitress was kind but clearly spread thin. My biggest complaint was that my children had their food brought to them 45 minutes before the adults were served. We were given no explanation or apology as to the tardiness of adult entrees. Our food temps were lukewarm at best so either she forgot about our food or the kitchen is not making food at proper temps. We would have sent back our food however we had 2 children with us who had been on their best behavior for majority of the meal and they were ready to go so for the sake of other diners we ate quickly and made a hasty exit.
I had the Filet and it was delicious and prepared at the correct temperature. Very nice wait staff.
My husband and I have come here a few times and have always left with full bellies and smiles on our faces. Our son had his wedding reception here this past fall and we were so very pleased at the wonderful service and ambience. Every guest agreed that it was the best-tasting food they had ever eaten at a wedding reception. Most recently, we came with our children to eat a weekend dinner and had ANOTHER wonderful meal and experience! 10/10!!
Wonderful service and the food was delicious!
Food is good but this time the service was horrible. Our waiter was sooooo slow and we had to continue asking for the same things over and over. Still waiting on that lemon from when we order drinks and hot sauce from our omelette. We would go back but hopefully to another waiter.
Food was delicious, our waiter Vinny was very friendly and prompt. Our family if 5 (3kids) enjoyed the evening!
Service was slow - but, as this occasion was out of town family visiting, we actually enjoyed the slower pace. It gave us time to visit and catch up. The filet mignon was so tender and delicious, certainly on par with Little Alley Steakhouse (Roswell). The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect lighting and everything looks clean, fresh and upscale.
Sadly, we received such bad service that I cannot give this otherwise enjoyable place a better review. Our waiter took forever to welcome us and then, after the food arrived, he completely disappeared. We had to ask the hostess TWICE to locate him so that he could correct some omissions from our orders.
Family in town 💕
We were so pleased with our wait person. She was so helpful and pleasant. Attentive, but not intrusive.
Great location. Great menu. Good food. Friendly, helpful server. I'll be back!
The food was a little overpriced for the quality. For example, the lobster Mac and cheese only had a few bits of lobster and wasn’t creamy at all. We spent $170 and that’s with no appetizer or dessert. Overall though it was a good experience.
Great food in a festive restaurant! Had a great bottle (or 2!) of some great Pinot Noir- Belle Glos.
We were first seating in very noisy room where we could hear each other speaking. The hostess was gracious enough to reseat us in a larger dining room, which was very quiet - kudos to her. My steak was delicious, tender and cooked just right. My wife had a Wedge Salad and a Flatbread appetizer as her meal, which thoroughly enjoyed. The other couple also enjoyed their meals.
We will definitely come again.
Great service and grilled chicken Caesar salads were awesome with deviled eggs being a nice added touch - will definitely be back!! 🙂
Our waitress was amazing. She was super friendly with my children and got their food out quickly.
Went for the first time Sunday night. This place is beautiful. The food was absolutely amazing ( pimento cheese balls OMG!!) The service was outstanding!!
Anniversary
My third visit, but for some reason the food was just not on point. Plating was careless and seasoning was minimal compared to my previous visits.
Solid dinner. Good food
Excellent Saturday night dinner. Vincent was an excellent waiter; personable and attentive. Fabulous and unique menu including some classics like Fried Chicken, but also beautiful Short Rib that was boneless and other than being barbecue, could have passed for Mom's Pot Roast when I was much younger. The bar scene was energized, but bartenders were less-than-attentive and it took me almost 15 minutes to order, then another 15 minutes to pay while my guests waited at a table, and I was paying cash. Pretty normal for a busy Atlanta bar on the weekend. They have valet parking which was helpful on a rainy night!
Delicious, fresh, unique! Will definitely go back.
