The Mill Kitchen and Bar
The noise from the bar crowd was excessive that overflowed into the dining room. Could barely have a conversation.
Great service. Delicious food. Always a good experience.
Chicken salad sandwich had loads of greens,, very little chicken salad
(I think it was good, but taste got lost with the greens & bread) and old loaf bread. The sweet potato fries were great!
We sat outdoors for a 1 pm lunch after paddle boarding. The food, service and drinks were fantastic! We’re definitely coming back.
Had excellent martinis and our food was so delicious. We will be coming back for sure. Hopefully to eat outside when it is cooler to enjoy the fireplace.
Good food and service. Will definitely return.
Excellent Seabass! Great selection of wines and our waitress suggested a nice clean Chardonnay.
Great food and service. We enjoyed our evening, and we will be back!
Birthday party :)
Very loud. Very hard to hear people sitting even next to us. At brunch. They have high ceilings but can definitely put sound proofing in the room to help.
Everything was absolutely perfection, from the service to the food. We can't wait to go back and try for lunch and dinner!
Our server was wonderful, and the food was delicious. However, the bar and drink service was slow and extremely behind. Our drink orders arrived well after our food courses, and the last round we ordered never arrived at all. We had a dinner reservation and were seated in the bar area, and by the time we were leaving the noise level was quite high.
The food and service were outstanding
We thought we had a standard table inside, but when we arrived we’re told we could pick from a table in the bar area or one on the porch. The bar was way too noisy so we opted for the porch which still had traffic noise and we got a big rain storm which created some struggles. But we made it work and enjoyed our evening
This is my go to favorite place for lunch. Tge food is very good but the prices have gone up. They are super busy and calling for a reservation is impossible so I went thru Open Table
(the restaurant claims that not all O.T. reservations are received by them). Because the restaurant has been slammed since reopening their doors- they are less willing to work with customers in the lovely way they used to operate.
Make sure to try the seafood calling and their burgers are delicious. The enree salad ( grilled chicken) was good but small for the price and unimaginative. Friends love the lobster roll. It is a beautiful environment with great outdoor seating ( you cannot reserve an outdoor table- it is 1st come 1st serve).
great restaurant for a casual or business lunch...varied menu
The food at Mill Kitchen is outstanding. If you are from the Northeast it is the only place to get Maine lobster rolls. Patio is great but street traffic annoying if you are seated on outer wall.
Great lunch with family, food was excellent as was the service. Disappointed we did not get to try some of the new cocktails on the menu as the ingredients were not available.
Very accommodating. We had two large parties that were a bit demanding and the wait staff was very patient and friendly. Food was excellent and service was great.
A wonderful early Sunday evening meal. We started with blackened brie appetizer which was huge and delicious -- a big wedge of melty brie, topped with marmalade, served with crusty slices of rustic break and candied walnuts. Alcoholic drinks were cold and delicious. Main course: shrimp and grits with fat, briny, wild Georgia shrimp. That's makes the dish so much better than those horrible farm-raised creatures. I had the short ribs - a huge hunk of braised brown beef and no ribs(!) with mashed potatoes and I don't remember all the other good stewed vegetables. David, our server, was attentive, but not intrusive. Our outside table was blessed with a cool dusk breeze so we were never uncomfortable. And we were so full, we couldn't order dessert.
GOOD FOOD GOOD SERVICE
Would recommend The Mill Kitchen and Bar to a friend.
Ordered omelet but came with no sides, bread, potatoes, etc. server should have mentioned.
This was a repeat visit for a couple to enjoy Friday night dining. Booked table on Thursday evening with no issues. Outdoor dining was closed due to severe weather earlier in the day so we had to sit inside where it was initially noisy, but noise level decreased by 9p. Enjoyed the crab roll appetizers, then the swordfish special and crab cakes. The swordfish special was exceptionally good. Ordered two blueberry cobblers for desert, one for each of us, that were fabulous. We will be back!
Birthday dinner. Had reservations. Was seated in bar area where it was ridiculously loud. Waiter was training a new waitress so everything took twice as long. Two of the entrees were barely warm and cold in some places. Napkins were forgotten, cork to wine was taken so we couldn't re-cork and birthday wasn't even acknowledged. Poured water onto water glass right over entree so water from bottle dripped onto entree. The positive take away is that the pimento bites and the sea bass were fantastic.
Lovely waiter. The bison filet was amazingly tender!
Great place, very nice outdoor sitting. food is always good. We enjoy going to The Mill!
Our service was delightful and our food and drink were wonderful. Always a great experience at this restaurant many miles from our Florida home.
Thank you for a fun and delicious evening on your charming patio and for your kindness in making some accommodations to your pasta special for our vegan guest!
This a great, upscale dining experience in a very non-standard setting. The vibe is cozy and warm, but the food is on-par with very stuffy high-class restaurants.
We drive all the way from Buckhead to dine here at least once a month. The food always is superlative, and yesterday’s Ahi Tostada was incredible! They were very busy but our server did not rush us in any way.
The only negative is the noise level but we deal with that to enjoy the killer menu!
Great good and environment
Absolutely my favorite place for lunch!! The food and service is great!
We are outside( the weather was amazing) While our waitress was polite she seemed in the weeds. Overall we had a lovely evening and even though service was slow it was pleasurable
Food was excellent. Dined outside, which was beautiful and peaceful.
Great food. Great service.
My friend and I went on a Wednesday night to the Mill Kitchen and the wine was half off glasses and bottles. We had a wonderful glass of wine and had salads and added shrimp to the salads. So delicious!
Waitress, Jordan, was very careful with my dietary needs a and the food was prepared perfect doe me. Many thanks to her, the chefs, and the management for being to flexible and caring.
Consistently wonderful food with a creative menu. Prices are premium but would definitely go again.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner everything was perfect. The food, the service, the room etc. I highly recommend.
I took my daughter and I out to eat dinner there yesterday. The atmosphere in the beginning was very nice and welcoming, even though we were a bit early of our reservation. The bar was very nice looking and the chairs were comfortable, while we waited for the table to be set up. However, when we got to the main area, we could that it somewhat smelled a bit. Thankfully that smell went away as time went on. Our waitress was very nice to us as well. I ordered their soup of the day which was the BLT soup. It was absolutely horrendous. The consistancy of the soup was similar to marinara sauce and it just did not taste good overall. It was way over-salted. (not worth the $8). Next we ordered the main courses. The sesame crusted tuna was quite bland. It came with kimchi rice which did pack flavor, however the tuna was bland and had no flavor, even if I dipped it into the sauce that was around the table. My daughter ordered the fried chicken. It tasted a bit better, but the way that the plate was organized was pretty bad. To have 2 pieces of chicken on a bed of macaroni and 3 GIANT pieces of asparagus is not fashionable or even "camp". It is just ugly and not very appetizing. The macaroni was good, but it was a bit dissapointing that there were only three pieces of asparagus and they were so large. It wouldve been easier to get many thinner pieces of asparagus, or at least been given a steak knife to cut through it. That is the end of the review, but i must add that I will not be returning. I would've given it three stars, but the waitress was nice. (Downside was that she was rarely around, so if we needed something we would have to wait a while; waiters were rarely ever around too).
