The Mill Kitchen and Bar
Each entre was fabulous! Service was outstanding!
We have been going to The Mill for several years and stopped because of the lack of hospitality and the negative vibe from the Manager. BUT something has changed. We decided to go back last night and were greeted at the door by two lovely young women with actual smiles on their faces and they were happy to see us. Our waiter Paul was awesome, friendly, knowledgeable and you could tell he liked working at The Mill. The food or drinks were never the problem, always great food in execution, creativity and taste and last night was not exception. Thank you to the New Manager as you are truly making a difference and so glad we decided to give the Mill another chance. We will be back next week!
Excellent food atmosphere and service
Long wait for food Waiters overwhelmed
Short rib is terrific. Tender, moist with just the right accompanying mashed potatoes and vegetables. Vanilla ice cream is special. Excellent service. A treat to watch Taylor and her colleagues handle a variety of cocktails like pros.
Everything was wonderful, the food and the service
Early Friday evening at the Mill for wine, appetizers and salads, and we had our favorite location, the sun-filled Barrington Room which is is far enough away from the bar to hear a conversation. The table was set with sparkling clean glassware, and the service was excellent. Even though the wait staff was slammed, the attitude and helpfulness were wonderful. Loved the Baked Brie and Pimento Cheese Fritters, and the Wedge Salad is always a favorite.
Loved it! Food was great!! And such a great location. Will go again
Great food, service and ambiance. A perfect Fall birthday celebration on the patio!
Dinner with Friends
Food didn’t taste good especially the Sea Bass (had no taste or flavor) and Short Ribs were extremely fatty (left half of it). Even their Mill Burger was tasteless and ended up eating just half of it.
Having been there for dinner and lunch many times, I was very disappointed! 4 key items on the menu were unavailable along with a $2 surcharge for each olive in my martini. Not sure we will ever be back. It’s a shame.
This is a great place in Roswell Georgia. Parking is somewhat challenging on the street however they do offer a Valet service. Our service was excellent and the food was very good in spite of the fact they were in the midst of changing their sous chef and Chef. Highly recommend for a place to visit over a nice meal. Outdoor dining was very crowded because it was a beautiful summer day. We were quite comfortable indoors.
We sat at the bar for brunch & Taylor our bartender was fabulous!
Simply outstanding! Brought my cousin and his daughter for dinner. Have been here before but it’s been a while. Steaks were over the top. Excellent wine selection. The tuna poke nachos were worth a fork fight! Our server was attentive but a little busy which actually encouraged us to relax and enjoy the wonderful weather on the patio. A great evening was had by all and I look forward to dining here again.
Excellent food, service and outdoor setting. We loved it!
First time eating here. Meals were great, server was great, I'd go back.
Food was delicious. We did brunch. My omelette was amazing. Will be back for sure
This was my second time at The Mill Kitchen and Bar, but first time for brunch. I attended with three other friends and we all enjoyed our meals. One item I would definitely recommend is the homemade pop-tart. We shared it at the table and probably should have gotten another one.
Two friends ordered the French toast and said it was great. The third friend ordered the watermelon and beets salad, which overall she liked, but was disappointed the the beets and goat cheese were a spread instead of sliced beets and goat cheese crumbles. I got the corned beef hash, which was nothing like traditional corned beef hash. It was better tasting than I expected, but too far off from a traditional corned beef hash for me. Excellent coffee.
Our server Alex was fantastic!
Bar area is loud!
We arrived near closing and they were good about letting us know when the kitchen was closing. They also gave us lunch menus instead of dinner so there was a huge difference in the cost of the food.
We have been here several times & always enjoyed it. We took friends this time to celebrate an anniversary. Ordered the Brie/rustic bread small plate. It was delicious!!! Two of us had the Sea Bass, one had Scallops, Two had steak. Everyone was happy with their choices. Our server let us know that they were new. The server was very personable, & attentive. However, they were unable to answer several questions we had about the menu, & in some instances instead of going to ask a manager improvised the answers. We all agreed better training might be in order. The only other thing I would mention is one of our party wished to change one of the sides with the Sea Bass & was told there were no substitutions. The place of the "no subs" is printed under the Out of the Garden large plate. We all thought only that particular large plate had no subs. Please, if there are no subs for any of the large plates print that at the bottom of the menu. As I said we all had a great time.
Our waiter was attentive, yet not obtrusive. There were four in our party and the food was delivered all at the same time. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food, and the menu had a great variety of options for all diners.
Overall nice ambience and good service. As for the food, my lobster benedict had the potatoes undercooked, the biscuit overcooked and had to really look where the lobster was on that biscuit. So that dish was not a success. The other dishes we had at the table were overall good though, hence the rating of 3/5.
Charming and cozy, this restaurant has a delightful patio available as first come, first serve and a dining room (reservations please) that is more in order of a farmhouse kitchen.
We three each had breakfast items, the portions are generous here. I ordered a side of bacon with the brioche French toast (So crunchy that if you touch it with a fork, it breaks) that was simply perfect! . The din is loud, exuberant even but of course with little upholstery in the kitchen is to be expected. We may have out stayed our welcome, as we hadn’t seen each other in many months, our waitress was gracious and pleasant. A find for breakfast and brunch ~ Be Sure to Make a Reservation,. I wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on this Roswell gem!
Overall great - bar got way too crowded and loud because they had an issue with their party room upstairs. So we cut the bar time short and went to our table - and we were well taken care of.
Not what expected- new waiter, not efficient and longer than expected to take order. Bones in seabass and no croutons on Ceasar salad, very spicy seafood pasta-
Unfortunately this was our last visit to the Mill. My husband‘s sea bass was undercooked therefore he lost his appetite. Our bill for 2 people was $155 as the restaurant didn’t comp a dime, so needless to say he was not thrilled. Also it was incredibly loud so we could barely have a conversation. Finally there was a pipe above my husband, dripping water on him during our meal. It was just not his day. And the last time we were there we had horrible service at the bar (had to flag down the bartender multiple times). It’s a bummer because the food is pretty good!
Was there for a birthday meal which was notated on the reservation.
Order two Caesar salads, short rib, tuna, two glasses on wine, ice cream.
Food was excellent and our server was friendly and attentive.
This restaurant unfortunately has trouble executing a meal. Main courses arrived halfway into finishing salads. Server had to return them to the kitchen. This happens consistently here, so please be aware and inform your server that you are not in a rush and a slow eater (or check on progress before brining next course). We also had to send the ice cream back two times before they got the flavor correct. Brought coconut 2x instead of vanilla. No recognition of birthday either.
Nice experience. Good food. Excellent service. A bit loud (birthday party). Will return.
Haven’t been there for 2-3 years and, after last night, my wife and I plan to make your great place our go-or date night. Thank you for making our rare night out special. Dennis
I felt the overall experience was pleasant. The food was spectacular and the atmosphere was nice. We would have liked the waiter to explain anticipated delays a little more clearly. Additionally, we had told them in the reservation it was our anniversary. I would have liked them to acknowledge that and perhaps seated us slightly more secluded (we use a a common bench shared amongst five tables.)
Good service and wonderful food
This restaurant is true farm to table! The service is great and I particularly loved the coffee. The mimosas are just right for a relaxing brunch. All the dishes were delicious.
Food was all very good. Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable and made very good food and wine recommendations. We didn’t have to wait (though we dined earlier to avoid crowds) and the food arrived in perfect time. Only negative, Thought some items were little overpriced. Good experience will definitely come back again but too pricey for regular stop.
Took 1 hour to get our food. Manager did not offer anything for poor service
We prefer outdoor seating so the noise level is expected! We love the food, service, and ambiance. The sea bass is my favorite!
This quant little restaurant blew us away. It's gorgeous inside and out. The table was beyond worth the wait. We ordered two apps, two entries and a dessert and it was all amazing. The staff was super friendly. We will be back for sure.
It was a little loud, but that's okay.
We had dinner with an architect and he felt that the inside room was too noisy and suggested sound proofing the room with some fabric on the narrow walls. Wehad a delicious dinner and Robin was our waitress and welove her and will ask that she be our server every time we come.
