Exceptionally loud and inexplicably there was a drummer playing to recorded music in the midst of that. Was kept waiting 20 minutes despite having a reservation. Service was inattentive and speed of food delivery poor. A lot of up selling attempts as well.
The service was very good and so was the wine selection. It was a little loud but a fun atmosphere. We loved the bruschetta and spinach and Caesar salad. Steaks and trout were very good.
Very nice experience and food was wonderful
It was our first time there and were dissatisfied at the beginning with the service. However, after speaking to Rebecca (GM) she took over our table and it became a wonderful experience with her and after the food came out, it got even better. Will definitely return.
We had a fabulous waitress Michele. A great job and pleasant personality. When we return hope to have her again.
Excellent service and amazing food! This was the perfect spot for my best friend and our moms to go for brunch.
Went in with a party of 8 for a birthday and everyone enjoyed their food and the great service- definitely will be back!
We love this place and the newer chef and his food! For a while, it had gotten way too expensive for the offerings and not very creative. It is much better now and more reasonable. They have a great patio with a fireplace too.
We had dinner at 8pm on a Friday night. Restaurant was very busy and noisy. I guess most restaurants are on a Friday night, but that eventually was exceptionally noisy. Food was good. Service was excellent. Spencer did a great job of assisting us that evening. My only complaint was the noise level.
Food was delicious and creative. Service was great. Recommendations were spot on. Great wine list, not huge but nice selections at reasonable prices.
Great food, great drinks, great service. It was good to be back. We hosted a rehearsal dinner here and was very pleased with that experience as well.
The Mill Kitchen & Bar has become an anniversary tradition for us - perfect in every way and only two blocks from our house!
Always love this place!
The Mill Kitchen and Bar is an amazing Epicurean delight in Roswell, GA. From the moment you entered this establishment via the valet, you are ushered to a fabulous table and donned with amazing cocktails (love the pear Smash) and scrumptious meal that rivals Perse in NYC. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the complimentary beverage via Rebecca (the general manager, Renaissance woman) and Jospeh (best server, public servant, renaissance man) who catered to our every whim (we were extremely persnickety and they took care of us PERFECTLY). Love the Mill Kitchen and Bar in Roswell, GA.
We always enjoy our visit and food! It’s not to loud and you can talk without shouting.
Disappointed - had Higher expectations from the high traffic and reviews. When you go out for brunch you want it to be really great for the calories you intake and this wasn’t. French toast was great but that’s really hard to mess up. The skillet at Thumbs Up Diner slays the Mill. Mill’s version had gross cheese sauce and they forgot the short ribs on the short rib skillet. Inside of pimento cheese fritters was cold and tasted like deli version. Shrimp salad had over cooked shrimp and was uninspired. Plating was not a feast for the eyes either. Sorry but I have high expectations for brunch and The Mill was not it. I’m sticking to cocktails at the bar or bottomless mimosas and bloodies next time, no food.
First time here and we’ll be back. Fabulous food and service. Loved the ambience. Want to go back when weather is better. And a Bloody Mary’s you make yourself. What more can you ask for?
Food was amazing! We had the fish special and it was very moist and flavorful. Others had burger and chicken which were also cooked as ordered. A combination of flavorful entrees with beautiful presentation made the food outstanding.
We’ve eaten at the Mill frequently, but the server we had this night was not what we expected. I stopped another server to refill my empty water glass. I don’t know if he was new or had too many tables, but our service was not good. If this had been our first visit, we would’ve said something to the manager. We will go back because this was not typical of service at The Mill and the food is consistently fantastic!
We always enjoy the Mill. In most cases the portions are maybe a bit big. It would be nice to have an option to have a not giant size hamburger with a bun that does not disintegrate half way through the sandwich. PS this is not specific to the Mill, but seems common in many restaurants.
The two dollar ice cream samples are greats.
Over all a nice place. We started on the patio and loved that they provide blankets, but the service was all but non existent. Due to the wind we asked to move inside and the staff was very accommodating, making room for us quickly. The service (same waiter) also dramatically improved once we were inside! Food was decent. Valet is free.
Our server was AMAZING! The pimiento cheese fritters are SO DELICIOUS. And addicting. The fried chicken was amazing and my best friend won't stop drooling over the burger. Must visit!!
Our third trip there in 6 months.. very pleasant each time. Front room this time, a little quieter, which was nice for the occasion. Excellent food enjoyed by all.... brie app, scallops, chicken sliders, and the divine bacon dressing no the spinach salad!
Very slow service. Underwhelmed on the dinner.
Love this place. My wife and I eat here regularly. Flynn, Katie, Chad, Rebecca are Awesome! They always make sure you
Very poor service.
Fun atmosphere! We dined in the bar area listening to live music. Cocktails were excellent. We had the charcuterie board and it was the perfect blend of meats and cheese.
Wait staff was slow in getting me a replacement beverage. Except for that it was outstanding.
Beautiful nice place. Great to share with friends... ample and open space. Excellent plate of shrimp and grits. Wish the meat was better though.
We were at a Birthday Party upstairs Last Saturday night. Had to bring my Valentine on the 15th.
Great Job Great Service Great Food

Adrick was an awesome server! Made our night on Valentine's. The Venison tenderloin was amazing.
Lovely evening at the Mill & Kitchen Bar to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my hubby!
So far we have spent two New Year Eve’s, a Valentine’s Day here and even had our wedding reception at The Mill. We absolutely love this place!! The staff is amazing and the food is delicious. Very highly recommend!
Staff was incredibly nice and went there for Valentine’s Day so that may have been part of the issue. Had a NY strip and the Venison steak. The steak was medium but was just not good beans and gravy were excellent but if your known for steak...The Venison was okay but had no seasoning whatsoever and was very bland. Brussels sprouts were over cooked not good. Sautéd mushrooms were cooked in a wine sauce and excellent. Food was not bad just not up to the quality of the price.
Everything we ate was delicious. Beautiful restaurant. We will recommend and go back in the future.
Such a wonderful place to eat and socialize. Love the food and the servers are exceptional. So impressed with the management, too. This is a great neighborhood place for dinner and drinks. You will not be disappointed.
My boyfriend and I were looking for a brunch spot in Roswell and came across this location. I made reservations at 2:15 and arrived 5 min early. Once the hostess pulled up our reservation, we were seated right away. However, it took 15 minutes of waiting and my boyfriend having to get up to go talk to the hostess for us to be acknowledged by a server. After the server came to our table we put in the order and waited another 15 minutes for our food (which is typical). Once our food came out, we probably saw our server twice, didn’t check up on water refills and it took almost 30 min for her to notice that we were ready to pay. With this said, I will not be returning. I was very disappointed.
First tune to the restaurant and was delicious
I had eaten both lunch and breakfast here with mixed experiences (lunch good but flavors not quite living up to expectations/ brunch wonderful with beautiful outdoor patio setting) so was not sure what to expect for dinner. I was overwhelmingly pleased! Our server, Carla was excellent with a very cheerful and accommodating demeanor. 2 couples from our party ordered salads to be shared. Without us asking, the kitchen divided them equally prior to serving and even included what I suspect was an extra egg with the spinach salad so we could both enjoy the full experience. Mine was delicious and consensus was the same for Cesar and beet salads; the only suggestion being that the beet salad should have more beets to live up to its name. We ordered a variety of dishes ranging from pork shoulder to venison to seafood and everyone agreed theirs was delicious. My grouper had a beautiful crust and flavor but was slightly under-cooked. My husband’s requests for well-done steak and substitution of side items were cheerfully met. We brought our own birthday cake- it was happily cut and served with the offer to take a photo of the table when it was presented. I will definitely be going back again.
