excellent ambiance, excellent food. Only issue was that they did not have our reservation. Even though open table was the link on the restaurant web page, they had changed to a different online reservation system, without updating their site. Fortunately, we were still seated on time.
We were extremely rushed- ordered appetizers. Then we’re asked to order dinner- which came out with the appetizers. It was disappointing celebrating my Mom’s birthday with that feeling.
Excellent meal, service and ambiance. We love the fireplace room especially in the winter.
Food was awesome (as usual), although their prices are pretty steep. We'll only continue to go here for special occasions.
New Years Eve
Awesome experience. Great service. Farm & Sea dinner option was AMAZING!
We had made a reservation for New Years Eve and when we arrived our table was ready within minutes. Our waiter was gracious, our food was delicious and I feel the price was good for what we had gotten. Yes, I would come here again.
Service was excellent. Prime rib was over cooked as was fish.
New Years Eve reservation. Service was good. The food was good. The only complaint would be the tables for 2 are right on top of each other. It felt like we were eating with another couple and we could hear all of their conversation. Especially when you are eating and not fully conversing at your table. We would try again, probably not on a holiday
Terrible New Year’s menu and food. Very disappointed!
Our waiter/bartender was fabulous; attentive yet recognized that we needed time to catch up together. There was a under-10 birthday party that caused quite a lot of noise but certainly not the venues fault. I maybe would have put them upstairs or downstairs to try to contain the noise, however as there was plenty of open tables to do so.
not willing to accommodate my wife's milk allergy. she ask if they would cook her salmon without butter and they refused. our table was very small. too much crowd noise. strange menu selections. very expensive. made no concession for our disatiisfaction.
We live about 40 minutes away and wanted to do something special for my husband's birthday. This place was fantastic. We enjoyed an Eggnog White Russian (me) and a dirty vodka martini (him) and they were both well-made and generous in size. We had poutine for an appetizer and as odd as the combination may look? It was wonderful. The gravy, the brisket pieces, the fried cheese bites... they all went together so well. My husband had the low & slow brisket w/ mac & cheese and he loved it. Portion sizes are big, so he took half home and said it was just as good the next day when he reheated it. I really wanted to try their beef stew (so good) so I chose a lighter menu option - the falafel pita. I think the kettle chips on the side were a weird pairing so I'd recommend asking for something different for the side, but the pita was perfect with the stew. My husband ordered the snickerdoodle creme brûlée which the waitress brought out with a lit candle and other patrons joined me in singing a quick happy birthday for him. He seemed to enjoy it, but I think by that point we were full and couldn't truly appreciate it. Recommend knowing if you want dessert when you first order so you deliberately pack up a portion of your meal to take home and you have the room to really enjoy it. It was a cozy, farm to table place and the flavors really came through in everything we tried. Staff is friendly and we really enjoyed the experience.
It was the last Sunday of the decade dinner and the food and service was outstanding! For appetizers we had the meatballs and oysters. For dinner we had the brisket and short ribs. Both were delicious! For desserts we went with the egg nog and the gingerbread drink. Thanks again for a great experience and we will be back.
What a great find in Hershey! Beautiful atmosphere, great service, delicious food! Happy to find this hidden gem and kid friendly! $8 for a drink, side, salmon! And dessert.
This is my favorite restaurant in the area! We went here a year ago when we were in the Hershey area and loved it and had it on our list for the next time we were close by. The food is amazing!!!! And the service and ambiance are perfect!
Good food and atmosphere. Service was good. We enjoyed the visit. Would recommend if staying in Hershey
Atmosphere is great and the menu has an extensive variety. However, the food is very bland for the price.
Great time dining at the mill. Nicole was an awesome server.
Food was very, very good....a comment based on my own personal tastes is all I would offer. I'm from the south, and brisket needs to smoked, there's just no other way to have that cut of meat turn out perfect. I appreciate the low and slow method but c'mon...invest in a real smoker. Service was absolutely incredible, one of the best staffs I've ever encountered!
Our server was so knowledgeable, kind, and patient. She let us know about specials, what they were out of, and what the various dishes contain. The food was delicious!
Perfectly prepared cuisine, props to the chef and BOH. Experienced, personable waiter who quite simply got everything right. Casual atmosphere though seating near the bar is distracting; booth seating is less than comfortable. Value rated as fair. Perhaps this on an unfair criticism in a nation of overweight people, but the portion sized should be more generous -- for goodness sake, just offer more carrots and sprouts to fill the plate. Espresso can't be beat. Nice place, do recommend.
Food was great as always, especially crab cake & southwestern quiche. First time here for brunch and it didn’t disappoint!
Christmas Celebration with Girlfriends!!
Having never been here before the menu and atmosphere looked very promising. Great menu with lots of options.
Our cheese board was the highlight of the meal. This was well presented and very nice. But it unfortunately went down hill from there.
My husband ordered his bone in rib-eye medium rare, it came out well done. I order my artic char medium and again it was well done. My grits side dish were crunchy and very unimpressive.
The service was another thing. It was extremely slow...they never cleared the dishes which was unfortunate since we were trying to socialize as we finished our course. Getting drinks when we first got there took over a half hour to get.
Based on this experience, not sure I would go again. For the fact that I went during the holiday season is the only reason why I may go again. It’s just unfortunate, the restaurant did not live up to the reviews
Veal short ribs were nearly inedible with how much fat was on my portion. Wife’s scallops were sandy. Swing and a miss this visit
Very nice environment, welcoming. Waitress was amazing at her craft. Food was out of this world.
While the ambiance and environment was nice, the food just wasn’t what I was expecting. Our server was great though and did a fantastic job.
Excellent experience...will travel back and recommend it highly!
Fun evening with friends. Yummy drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts! Our waiter was excellent and had a great sense of humor:)
I have been to The Mill a few times - with no issues - great food and great service. Unfortunately, the server this evening was fairly slow - and made the experience not so great. I may try the Mill again but I will be looking for another restaurant to try.
Server was very attentive and interactive. Chicken was over cooked. Peanut butter pie was delicious!
We went to The Mill for my father's birthday with my family. It was decorated for Christmas and it was very clean. The sous chef, Tim came out to greet us and gave us his suggestions of foods. He was very nice! Our server was just as nice and very informative. The Clause event going on upstairs was so great for my 6 year old daughter. The event was free which was even more captivating. The only thing I would say is that the whole meal (from drinks, to order, to getting our food, to getting our dessert) did seem to take awhile. While I believe that is a professional approach to getting things right, I do feel like it could have been a tad faster. But we will definitely be returning thanks to Chef Tim, the atmosphere, and the events. They were worth the drive and a little extra cost compared to another restaurant. Thanks for letting us book online! That was super convenient and helpful with our planning.
We had a great time, the only issue we had was we were seated on the second floor that had live music so trying to talk and eat at a birthday celebration was difficult. The food and service were great and would go again, next time if there is music to ask to sit on the first floor. If you are in Hershey well worth the time to make a reservation.
Made a reservation to the mill based on a recommendation from a friend who raved about it.
Atmosphere was beautiful but service and food was awful. Jimmy, our waiter made no effect to connect to us and make the experience worth it. Took forever to get out order placed and took more then 15 minutes to find him to get the check.
The shrimp ramen bowl was awful. No flavor in the shrimp and the cilantro on top was loaded on and took away the flavor. The boar was hardly in the meal. Mainly just rigatoni and ricotta. Prices for this place don’t do justice for the autos the food. The only good thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere and appetizer. Only go fro drink after appetizers.
Good very good
We all loved it! Amazing drinks! Cozy! Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Food was hot and delicious. We will be back next time we’re in Hershey!
I have eaten here many times and this was the first time I was disappointed in the food. Maybe it was due to the holiday crowd but it certainly wasn’t up to past performance.
LOW & SLOW BRISKET was incredible! The atmosphere is fabulous and our waitress, very attentive and knowledgeable. Great visit. Only complaint is there were 6 young and noisy children in a table right next to us. Very difficult to visit with our own family.
