Everything about the Met is always wonderful. One of the best steak houses I’ve ever been to. A bit spendy but well worth it. They cook steak to perfection. Lemon drops are also great.
Best steak I've ever had! I splurged and tried the Hokkaido filet mignon. Comfortable, upscale setting with outstanding service. Easy to have engaging conversations. Great lighting where you can actually see your food! Next time I'll use the valet parking.
Wonderful!
I was visiting my daughter in Seattle and meeting her boyfriend for the first time. They both turned 21 a few weeks ago. Everything was fabulous, the steaks were marbled so well that every bite just melted in your mouth.
The experience was fantastic, just as I remembered it. And their steaks are still the best in the world.......the wine selection was the best.......we enjoyed some Cote Bonneville Carriage House and it was probably the best wine I've ever had.........all my out of town friends agreed, it was the best experience they had ever had !!
We enjoyed everything about our experience at the Metropolitan Grill. The food was wonderful. The proportions were generous. The service was outstanding. Our waiter was very attentive. Loved it. We will be back soon.
This is one of the best all-time dining venues in Seattle. You can NEVER go wrong here.
All of the food preparations are delicious with fresh ingredients. The clam chowder is the best... comforting and dessert-like!!! But, it is the service which shines here... many of the servers have been here for years and they know what to do and when. Never have our iced tea glasses become empty. This is a place to go with someone who is special. It is worth it in every way.
Great old school steakhouse with all the traditional trappings that go along with these types of places. I washed down a beautiful bone-in ribeye with a delicious Amarone, then headed out to SeaTac for a redeye back to the east coast. Slept like a baby on that plane. What a way to end a great Seattle business trip!
Everything is great except when we’re about to pay the waitress that is showing us how to do it on the tablet automatically hit the tip button, without asking us if that is the right amount we wanted to give. Resulting for us to pay a higher amount than we expected.
Service was outstanding, our anniversary celebrated with an on the house dessert. We started with calamari, which was outstanding. Split the prime ribeye and a small lobster. The steak had great texture, but was FULL of fat and lacked flavor. The lobster was dry, tough and tasteless. Garlic mashed potatoes were great. Including one cocktail each, our bill came to nearly $200 - not including the tip. Such a disappointment, as we've brought out of town family and friends there on numerous occasions - not up to our usual experiences.
A+!! Amazing bananas foster!
My husband and I were in Washington for our Anniversary. I found the Metropolitan Grill on our final stop for our Anniversary Dinner. It was rated at one of top spots to eat in Seattle.
My husband is a big steak and seafood guy. Back home in DC, the Capital Grill is his go to spot. I do not eat red meat...or seafood, but being a very special night, I decided to give steak a go!
The ambiance of the Metropolitan was very laid and bright and I very much enjoyed this. They greeted us warmly and took our reservation right away, along with our coats.
Unfortunately, I think we got probably the very worst waiter in the restaurant. And my husband grumbled about him all night long. He did not explain the different cut of meat, the menu, or offer any service to write home about. We longed at the other tables and their wait staff wishing we were seated anywhere but where we were. The others were bright, enthusiastic and so detailed about the menu it had you excited about your meal!
However, I will say, the lovely gentlemen who explained the wine menu to us and who made my husband’s Apple crisp made the evening bearable!
Oh, and the food!!!!! Definitely made up for the lack of service. The steaks were cooked to perfection! We started with the onion rings with curry Sauce and finished with carrot cake and apple crisp.
Overall, a wonderful place to eat, if you can get the right service!
Amazing meal, easily the best restaurant in Seattle. I've been going to the Met for thirty years and have never been disappointed.
We reserved for lunch and asked for the Rib steak for two from the Dinner menu the Chef and staff accommodated is perfectly!
A perfect occasion!
So knock it off with the foodie trend dining crap -- put the salt and pepper back on the table and GET RID OF THE ODD SHAPED PLATES. Also please return to the previous bread service -- they dark rolls were excellent.
It is bad enough you got rid of your VIP program.......guess you have to be the ULTA rich now for that......
Fantastic food and service.
We had a wonderful time. Diane and Craig were so great
Excellent service and outstanding steaks.
It was my son’s birthday
Service is I always expect, perfect! Noi, our waiter our usual waiter was perfect and on point, we even consider him part of our family. Lol. Only issue is we got seated in the middle of the restaurant, and really don’t like that spot but we did make the reservations kind of late.
We enjoyed every minute our visit, can't wait to go back!
The food was delicious. I had their halibut and root vegetables. Everything was perfectly cooked, not over seasoned. The service was great. I will definitely go back.
We had an amazing dinner! The staff was friendly and know the wine list!
From the meal, to the drinks, to the dessert, everything was amazing. Prices are up there, so expect to pay for what you get, but it is definitely a "fine dining experience".
Great restaurant..The personalized service of our waiter was great.
Was here a few times a decade ago... Was back in Seattle... And it didn't dissapoint. Go yes!
Wonderful service and food! Much better than 4 years ago - new chef??
Excellent service. Good food. What else can one day? We will be back.
Waitstaff was awsome, could not have asked for a better meal! Steak was phenomenal!!!
Never disappointed when coming to the MET. The service, food and ambiance is always great.
Amazing everything... absolutely delicious. Very pricey, but big portion sizes and AMAZING dessert (if you can save some room)!
Amazing steaks and wine as always! We had the Ohmi filet mignon - it melted in your mouth! This is my favorite steak restaurant!
It is a great place to go and they always have great food and service. Never have been disappointed.
It was my 15 year old daughters birthday. Our waiter, Kevin, made every single second very special and amazing for her.
Over all a great experience. I would recommend making a reservation, we were there for about two hours. I feel like an open table there would be hard to come by if you were to just walk in.
We always have a great time at the Met. We go a couple of times a year to celebrate birthdays and have yet to be disappointed. Great food and great service. No complaints
If you want steak that melts like butter, this is the place. We will be a long time customer longing for our aged steak.
Fantastic restaurant . Service was absolutely amazing. our server was a really great guy and very well informed. The rack of lamb was absolutely to die for. i strongly recommend this place and will be definitely coming back.
Best steak in town. Great service. Fantastic evening.
Took my kids out to dinner. OMG. This was our second visit. This is THE place for steak in Seattle. Seattle’s version of Maestro’s or Delmonico’s. I had the raw oysters. Briny and meaty. Need I say more? The girls shared the teriyaki sirloin bites which my 9 year old gobbled up. My 18 year old inhaled the Japanese tartare. Per the suggestion of Phai, our server, my 9 year old ordered the sirloin from the kids menu at about a fifth of the cost of the adult version. I had the king crab legs and my 18 year old ordered the filet on bone with peppercorn sauce in the side. Everything was spot on in terms of prep and flavor. Couldn’t fault anything. Service, ambiance and food were excellent. Reminds me of the old school steak places. Great food with warm friendly service. Thanks for a lovely and satisfying meal.
