Four of us went for my wife's birthday. The sliders were amazeballs! Staff were awesome and even presented a birthday cake after our meal. We will be back for sure.

We love this restaurant and have been a regular patron for years. There seems to be a high turn of wait staff as of late and when you go to this type of venue, you expect excellent service along with great food, ambiance, etc.

I.E. we ordered Chopan Vodka on the rocks and one w/ club soda--we received one that was correct and then we received Champagne with soda! We ordered beignets for dessert and we got Grand Marnier?? We ordered Johnny Walker Black and we sent it back, then the waiter brought the same glass back and disputed it was JWB? Why?

The brussels were ordered crispy and they came soggy and a bit mushy? Maybe Chef Ward was off for the evening? As we know he watches over the kitchen like it's his baby.

We've always said we're the type of customers that "keep the lights on" in many restaurants as we go to the same places often, regardless of special occasions. However, this time we really had to question - if it was one thing we are understanding, however, except for our salads, everything we asked for was way off, mind you in a nice manner, and service was completely denied.

I RARELY write reviews and I've only had excellent things to say about Mercury in the past.

Sumptuous Easter buffet, fabulous spread. Lovely! Lots of breakfast choices, healthy salads, sides, sushi, cold shrimp and oysters, roast beef, beautiful desserts!

The Sunday brunch food was very good. The fact that I was charged extra for tea and coffee was a shock to me. We also had two mimosas which were small and not worth the price.

Brunch food selection was great, but it was very crowded and walking between table and buffet was a challenge. Service was slow and hard to get even water refills. For the brunch price, not worth the hassle.

Easter Brunch Buffet. Food varuety and quality overall was good. Jumbo shrimp, oysters, eggs benedict were standouts. We were assigned a table with a bench against a wall...uncomfortable. Had to keep asking for drink refills... ice tea, juice, coffee were not included in the price which cheapened experience. Buffet layout was awkward and tight to maneuver around. Fresh fruit and desserts were terrible quality. Dark restaurant interior.

Took my wife of 26 years to The Mercury on our anniversary and we were joined by our daughter and her fiancé. We generally choose The Mercury for special occasions as well as everyday dining. We love the food, service and ambiance provided here! Tonight lived up to our expectations in every way. Service by Tony was timely and on point. The food was cooked as requested, and the setting was spectacular to boot.

We had been to Mercury several times before so we knew what to expect, but wow .... what an evening. This was one of the best dinners we have ever had in Dallas. Granted, we ordered some pretty fattening and delicious things, but even with this advantage, the Mercury still far exceeded our expectations.

The veal milanaise was outrageously good. Basically the Best wiener schnitzel I have ever had. My wife had the lamb shank, which was probably also the best we have ever had. The pasta appetizer (a carbonara type preparation with ham) and mushroom gnocchi side were fantastic. Service was perfect. Desert was good, not great.

Excellent as always.... we had a server who was being shadowed by a new server and he was professional and kind to the new employee and we delighted in being in the section where training was going on... The tomato/artichoke bisque was so comforting, and of course the Mercury Salad was so yummy.

This was our first visit to Mercury on recommendation of my sister. It was a really nice dining experience. We went to celebrate my sister's and my birthday. I had heard it is better to sit in the main dining room because we sat in the Manhattan room and it was very loud. The food was absolutely delicious! We had the tagliolini pasta appetizer and lamb shank and mushroom risotto entrees. We also had their wine that they were advertising on special for $89 and it was a lovely Cornerstone cabernet. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for a nice romantic dinner or to celebrate a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary. My brother-in-law said that they also have a sushi bar in the back that is very fun and has great atmosphere.

I took my wife to the Mercury for her birthday and we were joined by our daughter and her fiancé on a recent Saturday night. We were properly seated and our requested table. After a short wait we were served bread with their excellent pate and some water and then our server came by and took our drink order. The drinks were well-crafted, and once we had settled in we ordered our food which consisted of several appetizers, a shared wedge salad, and a combination of excellent Cod fish for my wife and steaks for the rest of us. Everything was prepared to our liking and we left feeling fully satisfied with our excellent evening. We will be back soon.

I think we surprised them. This was an impulse visit on a Friday night. Because of a change in plans my wife and I were wondering what to do for dinner and she suggested that I look The Mercury on Open Table. It was 6:45 and they showed availability so I clicked the "Reserve" button and off we went. When we arrived I believe it was the manager and possibly even owner who was at the desk. He acted surprised that we had a reservation but he recovered quickly. We were seated in just a moment and we started a great evening. They make a good martini and most people don't. We want our 'tinis very, very cold. Deliver me from a luke cold 'tini. We shared the wedge salad. It was good but I believe that was a touch of pork belly in it. What ever it was it did not work but was easy to discard. My wife and I both had the filets and they were outstanding. We shared they variant of twice baked potatoes that they do and here my wife and I varied. She disliked them and referred to them as baby food because she found them too thin. I rather liked them. A bit more texture and a bit fewer chives would have been nice but I would go back to them easily. Our server was very nice and attentive. It is a wonderful neighborhood spot and we enjoy it for that. The highlight was easily the filet. We both added the bearnaise which was very nice. Their filet will stand with anyone's and I do mean anyone's. It is a bit large for us at 9 ounces. Their steak portions are all large. Our 68 year old appetites are more like 6 ounces. This was a great evening out and we enjoyed it very much.

We just regret not asking the price of the evening's special ($20 above all other entrees).
