Had a beautiful piece of Dover Sole. Wife had a great piece of Halibut. Service was impeccable.
I asked for a table in the main diningroom, and that is what we had, and I really appreciated it! Very nice evening!
It was the first time in a long time that we had eaten at The Mercury. We were pleased to find the cuisine is as good as ever. I had the halibut and thought it was outstanding--unusual combination of flavors that were a delight on the palate. Also, highly recommend the pear and Gorgonzola salad as well as ending with the classic, old-school Grand Marnier soufflé.
Excellent service and very good food. Wonderful staff
Wonderful. I asked for a fairly quiet table to talk and hear. They were very thoughtful and accommodating. The service was great. Our waiter was thoughtful and friendly.
Food and service were outstanding. The restaurant is very dark
Delicious food, excellent service. Thank you for making my friends birthday memorable.
Awesome experience; food was wonderful and martinis great...:-)
Lovely Evening with friends
Celebrating my birthday
Four of us went for my wife's birthday. The sliders were amazeballs! Staff were awesome and even presented a birthday cake after our meal. We will be back for sure.
we had a wonderful dinner & the noise level was ok for all 3 of us.
Great restaurant. Terrific food and atmosphere. Ask for Abdul who is a top-notch server.
Absolutely amazing food and service. We loved it and will be back
Food was outstanding! Service was great. Had the halibut, tuna sashimi, and yellowtail hamachi. We loved everything.
We love this restaurant and have been a regular patron for years. There seems to be a high turn of wait staff as of late and when you go to this type of venue, you expect excellent service along with great food, ambiance, etc.
I.E. we ordered Chopan Vodka on the rocks and one w/ club soda--we received one that was correct and then we received Champagne with soda! We ordered beignets for dessert and we got Grand Marnier?? We ordered Johnny Walker Black and we sent it back, then the waiter brought the same glass back and disputed it was JWB? Why?
The brussels were ordered crispy and they came soggy and a bit mushy? Maybe Chef Ward was off for the evening? As we know he watches over the kitchen like it's his baby.
We've always said we're the type of customers that "keep the lights on" in many restaurants as we go to the same places often, regardless of special occasions. However, this time we really had to question - if it was one thing we are understanding, however, except for our salads, everything we asked for was way off, mind you in a nice manner, and service was completely denied.
I RARELY write reviews and I've only had excellent things to say about Mercury in the past.
It was very very expensive and food was not up to expectations.
Sumptuous Easter buffet, fabulous spread. Lovely! Lots of breakfast choices, healthy salads, sides, sushi, cold shrimp and oysters, roast beef, beautiful desserts!
The Sunday brunch food was very good. The fact that I was charged extra for tea and coffee was a shock to me. We also had two mimosas which were small and not worth the price.
Brunch food selection was great, but it was very crowded and walking between table and buffet was a challenge. Service was slow and hard to get even water refills. For the brunch price, not worth the hassle.
Easter Brunch Buffet. Food varuety and quality overall was good. Jumbo shrimp, oysters, eggs benedict were standouts. We were assigned a table with a bench against a wall...uncomfortable. Had to keep asking for drink refills... ice tea, juice, coffee were not included in the price which cheapened experience. Buffet layout was awkward and tight to maneuver around. Fresh fruit and desserts were terrible quality. Dark restaurant interior.
Easter brunch buffet was outstanding. I wish they were still open for regular Sunday brunches.
Everything about The Mercury is great!
One of our favorite places to eat in Dallas!
We go there once a week and have had fantastic experiences every time!
Entrees were Cracklin Chicken and Halibut. Both done to perfection. Always a reliable neighborhood “go to” place.
Service was excellent. We had a very nice dinner; entrees and dessert was delicious . Our son was very happy he could order from the Sushi menu.
Jesse was our waiter and he was excellent! He was there when we needed him but very much in the background
Food was very good, appointments nice, service fairly quick and attentive, wine list appropos, relaxing time though next door table a bit noisy.
Has gotten quite expensive and menu is a little tired
Lunch was great. Good food and great customer service.
Took my wife of 26 years to The Mercury on our anniversary and we were joined by our daughter and her fiancé. We generally choose The Mercury for special occasions as well as everyday dining. We love the food, service and ambiance provided here! Tonight lived up to our expectations in every way. Service by Tony was timely and on point. The food was cooked as requested, and the setting was spectacular to boot.
We had been to Mercury several times before so we knew what to expect, but wow .... what an evening. This was one of the best dinners we have ever had in Dallas. Granted, we ordered some pretty fattening and delicious things, but even with this advantage, the Mercury still far exceeded our expectations.
The veal milanaise was outrageously good. Basically the Best wiener schnitzel I have ever had. My wife had the lamb shank, which was probably also the best we have ever had. The pasta appetizer (a carbonara type preparation with ham) and mushroom gnocchi side were fantastic. Service was perfect. Desert was good, not great.
Mercury is always a special place to dine - love how dark it is and the food is always delicious.
Always consistent. Great menu and service. Never disappointed!
Excellent as always.... we had a server who was being shadowed by a new server and he was professional and kind to the new employee and we delighted in being in the section where training was going on... The tomato/artichoke bisque was so comforting, and of course the Mercury Salad was so yummy.
I like this place for a business lunch. Good food, always consistent. Noise level is such that you can have a conversation.
Food excellent. Not too loud. Lovely.
As always they make you fill important and if there is mistake they rush to take care of it. By far one of the better and most consistent restaurants in DALLAS and the best in the north Dallas area
Fantastic lunch experience...as always! Food was great and the service outstanding. The waiter was great accommodating our special food requests.
Food was excellent. Service was outstanding. We had a great time. Thank you!
Great birthday celebration with delicious food and great wine. Very accommodating service!
