The Melting Pot - Wilmington(NC)
Had a great experience as always!
Our server was very friendly and attentive to the gluten-free needs of my mom. If she didn't know the answer to our questions, she went and asked someone. Of course the food was wonderful!
This was absolutely the best place ever. The staff was amazing as well as the food. We drove an hour and a half just to eat that this restaurant & it was well worth the drive.
We had a great time on Friday at the Wilmington location. The food was so fresh and the quality was not lacking either. We had the Quattro formaggio and loaded baked potato fondue to start. DELISH! Then we chose 4 options each, so we shared 8 items. We chose the ahi tuna (2 servings), salmon, shrimp, teriyaki serloin, filet, Cajun chicken and pork. I think I’d get the ahi tuna, salmon and teriyaki sirloin EVERYTIME. It’s so fun to cook items in the broth and then add your favorite sauces. The gorgenzola and green goddess were my favorite and delicious with the mushrooms and potatoes. Teriyaki was also great on the salmon and tuna. I hope they bring back the red velvet and cheesecake bites for dessert soon, but we were not disappointed in the dessert selection either. Loved the rice crispie treats, strawberries and blonde brownies with the turtle and Oreo chocolate fondue. Strawberries were fresh and sweet! The service was wonderful and were always checking in to see if we needed a drink refill, etc. We will be back!
We had a wonderful time! The wait staff was excellent! Made great recommendations! Great atmosphere. Kind of expensive!!!
After checking in for our reservation we were seated at a table in the far back by the bar. It was a little distracting because I could see the kitchen door opening and staff going in and out (I’ve only sat on the other side of the restaurant before today). Our server was great. Possibly the best I have had there. She said if we run out of dippers she’d bring more and even gave me extra sauces (the ones I use a lot of). The manager came by to make sure we were enjoying our meals. The cheese is amazing (Wisconsin cheddar), the salad was good, and the meat was mostly good (I had a few fatty pieces). The meat seemed to take a lot longer to cook than usual but we tried a new cooking broth (mojo). The desert was fabulous - we had the s’mores fondue. It was my birthday so we got a coupon to go back ($10 off). Overall a fun night and we left stuffed. I think I prefer sitting on the other side of the restaurant. We did have reservations but a small party of 3 so perhaps that’s why we were placed in the back bar area. We go here a lot before movies so I will know to request to sit on the other side next time.
First time visiting, we loved it. We will be back!
great place, awesome service! this was our first time and it couldn’t have been better
I have lived in Wilmington for over 30 years this was the worst restaurant outing I have ever had.
It was delicious! Keep in mind it takes time for this type of 4 course dinner. We had an awesome time!
Made a reservation online and had no wait for our table. Friendly service, Jenny was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. The cheese fondue was outstanding, she offered to bring extra dippers since there were 3 of us. We each had a salad which was of ample size and then finished with a chocolate and marshmallow fondue. Total was right st $100. Guess we need to go for the cheese and chocolate special next time. Monday-Thursday 5-8 pm for $14 each.
Food was good, menu is complicated for a Xmas eve party of 7 and waiter couldn’t really explain the menu well. Tip: make sure you get an experienced waiter!
The food was very good and presented well, But the service seemed to be exceptionally slow.
I feel like it was way overpriced. We also had a hair in our fruit.
Our server was spot on with his explanation of the different menu choices and super personable. Thanks Wilmington Melting Pot!
Excellent service, delicious food, no complaints! We will definitely go back.
Out standing from start to finish
As always, The Melting Pot was great. We have celebrated many special occasions there and will continue to do so. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is great.
Food was good but there tend to be a lot of fillers.
Our waitress Thea was AMAZING. Literally she made the experience ten times better. It was our first time and she was very informative, super friendly and just all around a great person!
What a wonderful time we had as our waiter Zac did a great job! The service was the absolute best. We were celebrating a birthday and it couldn’t have been any better. It was the best dining experience we have had in several years. Great food, great service, really nice location and they all went out of their way to make it a special night.
Thank you Mealting Pot Team for a most memorable evening!
From the food to the experience as a whole, The Melting Pot was such a fun date night for my husband and I. We were celebrating getting our first house together and enjoyed the adventure this restaurant gave us! Will be back again sometime in the future!
Love this place, just don’t expect to eat cheap.
As always great service wonderful dining experience
Great experience, as always! Service is always wonderful! Meal is always fantastic!
my server was outstanding, I believe her name was Lindsay or Lauren
Where to begin... the food and atmosphere were excellent as to be expected at any Melting Pot. Everything outside of that was a disaster. We were sat for 15 mins before we were greeted and for 30 min before waters even hit our table. This should've been a sign to leave but we were excited to be there. Everything was painfully slow. The server kept making excuses as to why but couldn't seem to remedy the situation. This this was the worst fine dining experience I've had in Wilmington. We will not be returning.
The server kept bringing mushroom things to our table by mistake even though they were aware of a severe mushroom allergy at our table. Also, the server was way too pushy on the saint jude donation, to the point it turned us away from donating, since he seemed like he probably gets something for getting a certain amount of donations made.
Outstanding! Couldn’t have been better. Great experience.
Low lighting, good for romantic dinners, servers were polite and friendly, very attentive.
I was not impressed with the food and it was pricey, considering that the food was not all that special.
We love the Melting Pot. It is a bit pricey [ and the business model of getting guests to cook their own food is brilliant ;-) ] but it is well worth it. It is one of our favorite spots.
We went to The Melting Pot to celebrate my birthday, and as usual, were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, the manager stopped by to say hi. A great experience overall.
First visit, but it won't be our last. Great service, tasty cocktails, very fun food. More that we could eat. Really good experience, and we have pretty high standards. Highly Recommended.
First I have to say how awesome Jenny is! She provided recommendations, kept our drinks full and checked on us throughout our meal. All the food was fantastic and the adults as well as the children enjoyed the fondue experience.
My husband took me here for my birthday.
The food was amazing. Usually we have to ask for a box to take stuff home but there was nothing left to take we ate everything!
Great time and food as always
It was pretty good, but there was a table of obnoxious people seated half way through our meal one table over. I’m all for people having a good time and enjoying themselves but they were way too loud. Please be considerate of other people.
It was a fun experience and had an awesome waitress, Tamarra!
Good value Labor day weekend. BOGO deal.
