Very poor experience. We've been to Melting Pot several times and always had a good experience in the past. This time we went for my wife's 50th birthday. The burner at our table did not work properly, resulting in very slow and poor food preparation, but they would not initially move us. When they finally did move us, it took a very long time to bring our entree up to cooking temperature. Then, once we'd finished our entree, 25 minutes passed with no service or sign of our server to move on to the next course. I finally complained to the manager, who ultimately did nothing.

Plus, we were seated ext to a family with three young, noisy children.

Very, very disappointed.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Already wrote a review on google so no need to repeat myself. :)

They forgot about us for 45 min after we were seated . Took 20 min for our drinks. After that it was good. Food was great and atmosphere was great.

The food here more than worth the price. The atmosphere is great as well with a very friendly waitstaff.

Food was good but expect to spend your entire evening here. We got there and sat down at 5:45 and didn't leave until 9:00pm. Our server didn't check on us in-between meals but only came when we getting served our next meal since we got the 4 course meal. We sat for about 30 minutes waiting for our next course each time we finished the last. It even took a half our to get our drinks which were a beer and sangria, pretty bad service and did not expect to spend our entire evening there. Cool experience but probably won't be coming back or recommend this to someone.

I went for a midday but to eat with my wife to celebrate Valentine's day. We were not disappointed as the food and service were both great! I love food so I would've loved bigger portions but that's my only gripe. 😊 Pleasant experience all around.

We've been going to the Melting Pot for a few years, and it's always been okay; unique food, romantic ambiance, good service. However, our more recent visits have been on the awful side. We had a reservation for 8:15 and didn't get seated until 9. Their valet situation was odd - we waited 15 minutes before someone came to tell us there was no more parking available. Inside it was very muggy and they sat us at a large table with seating for six, when we were only 2 people (not great if you want an intimate setting).

Once we were seated it took at least 20 minutes for someone to come and take our order and another 10 minutes to get water. We didn't actually start eating course 1 of the 4-course dinner until 10 (they close at 11). Our waiter barely checked on us, so we never got refills on our waters. Overall, we expected dinner to take maybe 2 hours, it ended up being closer to 3 1/2 or 4 hours. Not sure if we'll continue going here for dinner, maybe just for dessert at the end of a night.

I dined with a long-time friend whom I hadn’t seen in a year. This is the perfect text type of meal for lots of unhurried conversation! Service was very friendly- our server explained how all the courses worked. Menu is varied enough for people who like fairly plain food, to those who enjoy something a bit more adventurous. Portions are just right: we left feeling full and satisfied, but not over-stuffed.

We had several dishes and flatware that were unclean and for $156 for two people I would’ve expected better than that

Despite all the construction going on around the building, our experience was outstanding. Great way to spend Valentines day with my special lady. Food and service were excellent.

So delicious! highly recommend to anyone looking for something different! better for special occasions though as the 4 courses takes a little longer than a regular meal at other restaurants. Can't wait to go back !!!!

Horrible service from the beginning. Made a reservation and hostess didn’t come over to us at all, the girl was at the bar chatting for about 5-10 minutes before I had to ask for a table. Very bad waitress too not providing information for first timers

Reserved a table for 3 for the Ladies Galentine night. Waited 15 min past our reservation time to be seated. Got a table in the bar area and watched the only bartender working struggle to make drink orders. We ended up waiting over 40 min for our martinis, which were served during the second course in small drink glasses instead. Waiter was nice to remove drinks from bill but never asked us if we wanted more. Ended up anjusting the temp of our burner and stirting the cold chocolate ourselves. My sister & I have been coming here once a year and couldnt help but talk about the dowhill direction this place is going. We could have bought all of the ingredients of the entire dinner at Nino Salvaggios plus a Cuisinart fondue pot and had a huge Ladies night at our house with friends instead of driving here and dealing with bad service - which is exactly what we will be doing from now on!

We drove almost an hr to eat at The Melting Pot. It was well worth it. Food & service was great. I will however add if your in a hurry don't go there. There were 4 of us & it took 3hrs. We had the 3 course meal. It could have come out faster but we had fun.

Absolutely the worst service ever!! Took over an hour to get just the drinks! Drove over an hour and a half, one way, for a special celebratory dinner, to sit for 4 hours of the absolute worse service anywhere!! Had to search the entire restaurant for a manager just to ask for an iced tea, a long island iced tea and one specially drink of the night, after already having to ask the hostess about our drinks! Once the manager dropped off the drinks, we never saw him again. I had tell the waiter that when someone orders a special half dozen chocolate covered strawberries, that there should be 6 in the container! Not 5! Would be better off ordering pizza delivery next time!

EVERYTHING was amazing. Julian was incredibly attentive and made efforts to get to know us while waiting on us. He had a real showmanship about all of the courses, making the fondue, narrating how he was making it with enthusiasm and ownership as if they were his own recipes. We had driven up from Toledo to come for my girlfriend’s birthday. First time at The Melting Pot since our trip to DC three years ago. Loved it.

We had to ask for napkins and forks ~ it was expensive for some bread and cheese an apple 🍏 about 3 pieces of broccoli and cauliflower ~

It would be more attractive if cheese ~ salad and chocolate did not cost almost $6o dia 1 adult and a child ~ really !!

Terrible service if you are just ordering dessert. Waiter failed to even bring us the dessert menu for about 20 mins. Then when it was time to go he failed to bring us our check for another 20 mins! The food was good, but it was our anniversary and we wish we had gotten better service.

This place was pretty awesome! Great service, great food and great drinks! I do think they should have a sign on every booth that has the cooking times on them. It would be way more convenient. Other than that, fantastic meal and dessert!

We have been to Melting Pot of Troy, MI. quite a few times and have always been a great experience. This time however seemed a bit different. We hadn't been in a while. The food was still great. Service was ok. Not outstanding like previous visit. The feeling and atmosphere was much different than previous visits. Before it was romantic, classy and sophisticated. This time it lost those qualities which we loved. The booths were dirty, loose and the menus were clearly coloured in by children with crayons. That staff and manager were also wearing jeans, which visibly lows the sophistication from previous visits. We will be back again, I just hope this wasn't a fluke.

We were sat at a table too small. Our pot was left on a burner and started to burn leaving a terrible odor at our table. We had to be moved to another table which thankfully was larger. The portions were small but tasted good. our server was having a rough night and she really didnt have any other tables the place was near empty.
