I recommend but only for a special occasion and for patient people with lower appetite. Here you self cook the entree and dip bite size pieces into fondue. My husband ordered the 4 course meal (entree. salad, cheese and cbocolate for $45) and then we ordered an extra cheese pot and chocolate pot @ $10 each since I am not able to eat much due to surgery. We ended up taking home some of the chocolate. I would just order one chocolate next time. We really liked the potato cheese fondue. The spinach artichoke tasted fine but was slightly runny. The dark dulche chocolate is good as was the turtle which is interesting due to being a flaming fondue. We first were in a cozy booth with a high back and more ambiance although 1 burner. I wish we stayed there. We moved to a larger table with 2 burners due to the waitress suggestion but it was closer to a crying baby and didn't have the high backing on the booth. It was our anniversary and they made us a plate that said that with a couple chocolate strawberries. My husband said that if he ever came back it would be just for dessert and we both enjoyed the Sparkling Moscato. Possibly cheese and chocolate fondue only. The wait staff has to work harder than a typical wait staff so I tipped higher. Overall it was okay for an experience but an expensive one at that.

Server talked us out of how we wanted our meal prepared, which was a huge mistKe. The entree part, and most expensive part of the meal was awful. We told our server we were disappointed- nothing was gone about our dissatisfaction. Had to hunt done server to take our dessert left overs home.

I wish I could remember my servers name. She made our experience to the melting pot rememberable. First time to melting pot and she walked us through the menu. Ordered the four course classic meal. I’ve never been so full and pleased with my meal. The dessert was to die for. Will be back.

Our server Heather was awesome! We went with the 4-course meal and we were absolutely satisfied and stuffed by the time we left. There is such a variety of meats/veggies, sauces, and desserts that no matter everyone’s appetite, each person can find something they like.

Great evening to celebrate my daughters birthday! Very neat experience! Not something I could do on a regular basis as there is so much food and you need the time to enjoy the steps, but lots of fun, great food and my family enjoyed it! Highly recommend!

Our first time dining at the Melting Point was a very nice experience. Great service. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially our waitress, Katie. We were celebrating our anniversary so the staff surprised us with a special dessert with Happy Anniversary in chocolate writing. How sweet.

Service and food was great, but they need to invest in some remodeling. The seats are in definite need of reupholstering! Really distracted from the overall experience.

Our server was fantastic walking us through the menu as it was our first time there. Had a cute little secluded booth. Only downfall was our burner kept turning on and off so the meat took forever to cook. And then at the end the burner way overcooked the pad under the pan and smoked out our corner of the restaurant. They moved us booths for dessert, which wasn't a big deal, but a little awkward.

I was saddened to see the melting pot fall in many categories since my last visit. The restaurant was old, dirty, worn out and outdated. The staff was young, inexperienced and sloppy with presentation and explanations. Unfortunately the food was sub par as well and not a high quality. It seems that who ever is in charge of it now has just let the place go and have started skimping on quality in all categories. There was one waitress who seemed to know what she was doing however we did not have the pleasure of her help as she did not wait our table. The booths were dirty and old, the wood furnishings in the booth was dirty and old with stains from previous customers and years of wear.

Overall this experience was not pleasant as there was much to improve on.

Sad to see the melting pot fall this far over the last several years. Reminded me of being in a more expensive Applebee’s with the same quality food.

The food and service was fantastic and impeccable as always! The only suggestion I have is that the seats are quite run down and in need of replacement. It was very clean, with a quite lively crowd around us, and we will definitely go back, as it is our daughter's favorite place to eat! Friday night we were celebrating her leap into her Senior year next year! Thank you!

Definitely did not live up to the hype. Spent $87 for lunch. Two people, 6 pieces of chicken, 6 pieces of steak, two drinks (never offered refills) and a bowl of cheese. Please save your money. Don't eat here.

The food is AMAZING! It's my favorite restaurant of all times. The small problem that I noticed this time was that the booths are really old and falling apart. They definitely need to go through a make over. Especially with the prices, they should take care of these kind of things. It's a very expensive restaurant but it's definitely worth it.

We have visited the Melting Pot for years for special occasions. This will be our last visit. The portions have shrunk while the prices increased. The restaurant is showing its age, with booths that are peeling and breaking. The restaurant seemed to be way overstaffed, and we had no less than 10 people approach our table during our meal. It was disruptive and annoying.

Amazing service for my girlfriend and I for our anniversary. Everyone was very nice and helpful in menu recommendations from the cheese to the wine and the chocolate. Also my girlfriend was served the wrong pasta and was given the correct pasta with no questions asked and very quickly when we raised the problem initially. Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

I've been to this location three times with a reservation, and all three times I've waited 30 minutes to be seated. Empty tables, not enough busing. The hostess staff members need to organize or get earbuds for better communication instead of running all over the Restaurant over and over... so inefficient. The wait staff each visit has been ok when they get to the table, but why am I waiting 15 minutes between being greeted, drinks, ordering, and much longer between courses? I fully understand and expect to spend 2 hours here, but every time it's been 3 hours or more due to slow service at every point. Food is best when your party is 2 or 4. Portions are not correct when you have 3 like my last visit (cheese and dessert courses specifically). Probably my last visit to this location. Been to one in Arizona and my experience there was much better.

We went on Mothers Day and the amount of time we had to wait for our food was unbelievable. We were sitting at our table nearly an hour before they even brought out our first course. They put so much cajun seasoning on our meat it was uneatable. We will never be back to this Melting Pot. I wish the one in Ann Arbor hadn't closed.

Management needs to be better prepared for busy shifts , holidays. I manage a restaurant and I had lots of anxiety watching the events that took place. So many customers were complaining and unhappy and nothing was done. Quick way to lose customers

We attempted to go here for Mother's Day. Upon arrival, the host informed us that the restaurant was running 45 minutes behind our reservation time, but people in line told us that the real delay was "well more than an hour". Needless to say, we found somewhere else to celebrate.

Unfortunately this is becoming the standard experience at the Troy location. More times than not, they are not ready to seat us at our reservation time. When we do manage to eat here the service is really slow. It's a shame that the Ann Arbor location closed, because it was always a good dining experience.
