Fun place, lots of options for dinner, good service. My only knock is a few more servers, as the place filled up our server kind of disappeared. Sean was very good at his job, just left to fend for way too many tables. Will be back to try another variation of their vast menu.
Really enjoyed it. Not your traditional type of dinner. Very fun. Great place for hubby and I to enjoy a meal sans kids. The 4 course options are well put together and make it easy to order. We loved the mojo style for the cooking broth. Of course the chocolate was delicious.
Wish it wasn't so pricey so we could afford to Go more than once every 10 years. Food was good.
Great service and food, in a unique way. It’s a little pricey but worth it for our anniversary!
Something different to do, serving staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate any situation.
My husband and I enjoyed a delightful anniversary and birthday dinner at The Melting Pot in Thousand Oaks. The food, service, and ambiance were great and it was the perfect choice of restaurants to celebrate our special occasions.
Great time, great food, and our waiter was wonderful.
A very interactive experience and food is amazing. Service is always spectacular. Great place for your next special occasion.
Excellent service, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Out favorite place to celebrate a special occasion.
The food was excellent and so was the service. A nice place to go for a special occasion.
Great food, great service by a friendly, helpful waiter. We had a concert to attend, and he helped keep our dining comfortable, but moving at good pace to make our show. Delicious dessert = the cookies and creme chocolate option!!!
The chocolate fondue was yummy!
Good priced wine
The food is amazing very good but the price for the amount of food they give you is very overpriced meal should be no more than 35. So that’s the only downfall to this place it’s over priced.
Wonderful service and a delicious dinner with time for actual conversation.
My sons 18th birthday
Service was friendly but not good. A coke to go with dinner had to be reordered because when asked about it halfway through dinner server didn't remember what had been ordered. When cheese fondue was finished but we were still eating apples and other things that went with it they were removed from table while we were talking. We ordered dinners that we knew were too much food so we asked that the salads be boxed up for us to take home rather than eating them there. The server assured us that that would be done and had a long conversation about the dressing being on the side. When we got home we realized that the salads had never been brought to us and that we might as well have ordered differently and saved the cost of the salads. A special fondue that was on the restaurant web site was not available. The server told us how bad it was and that they don't have it there.
Fun atmosphere and all around great time!
Honestly of all the things my ex gave me, I thank him for showing me this gem. This is my go-to place for special events. I’ve been here three times. And let me tell you, it is definitely WORTH IT! Great service and experience. Brought my mom here for her birthday and she loved it. It is worth the 2 hour drive 🙂
HELPFUL TIP: make reservations in advance
Great place to sit and visit with friends and family. Sharing is great to be able to enjoy more things.
Waitress was horrible. She barely checked on us. I had to go looking for her at one point. I asked for sugar with my tea and she brought the tea and quickly left. After she left, I realized that she forgot the sugar. By the time she finally brought the sugar my hot water was cold. On top of everything, it was clear she was trying to sell us the entire time. We were 4 people and she tried to sell us "4 portions of dessert". We barely finished 2 portions! We had come into the Melting Pot after having a huge dinner elsewhere and we just wanted some dessert and tea. TWICE, I said that we want to start with 1 portion and then we will order more if wanted and she couldn't get that through her head. She was determined to increase the size of our check. We barely finished the 2 portions we ordered. When we ordered the second portion of chocolate (the flaming turtle is amazing) we specified we wanted just fruits. She said AGAIN that one portion of fruits wouldn't be enough and she will "figure it out" (to bring us more fruit) -- she basically brought us two portions of fruit to have with our chocolate and obviously charged us for it without even telling us (it was a $6 charge which is not a big deal but it's the principle of it!!!). I hate it when the staff makes it so obvious that they are so concerned with the size of the check just so they can get a larger tip. It makes me not want to leave them a tip at all. Also, the menu they gave us was dirty and the hostess said "I would wipe it off but I can't because it is paper". Are you kidding me?! You should have brought us another menu-- ours was filthy. We were disgusted to touch it. Our experience was completely ruined by the staff. Extremely unprofessional group of individuals. I will NOT be returning. (I've been to the Pasadena location-- MUCH better than this sorry excuse of a restaurant)
Like always the atmosphere was great. The service was great. enjoyed drinks before hand and date enjoyed the large wine list. The food was amazing.
Great for a birthday! I was with a group, 6 people total and we were a little cramped in the booth they sat us in. It was also very hot being in such close quarters with the double burners. It would've been nice to have an additional burner/pot for 6 people but we made due with the two.
Overall a lot of fun. Advice to Hostess...seat a party of 6 at a table where there is breathing room. Keep the booths for parties of 4 or less.
Good, not amazing. Would go again.
Waitress was not very good at all. Never refilled drinks even when we asked, brought us the wrong cooking style (mojo) when we asked for coq au vin. Never came by during our meals to see if we needed anything... refills, more sauce, etc. disappeared when she went to go get the dessert menu and again when she went to get the bill. Very frustrating for the cost of the meal. Overall not the best experience.
We had such an amazing time! The Valentine’s day package was amazing, food was so good & our waiter was great! Loved it!!
The actual service we got was great, when we had service. We were seated then were kinda of forgotten for a solid 30 minutes. Apart from that issue it was great!
I have been here many times with my fiancée and each time it delivers! Great ambiance, and an exquisite place for a date. We got to talk and enjoy the fantastic four course meal. The best part is cooking your own food and don’t forget the Mojo in the pot! A wonderful place to have great conversations and even better food!
My girlfriend and I enjoyed the ambiance and the dessert selection. I highly recommend the Melting Pot for a date night. Great wait staff. Very attentive although a little slow to bring the water we had requested, not once but twice.
The food was great. Our server was even better. But the restaurant felt like a cave. It was dark with no decorations.
The Melting Pot needs work. Wonderful special occasion place but the servers still have way too much to do for way too many tables.
Sometimes hostesses upfront are snotty.
Yum Yum like nothing else. It's fun to cook your own food and try all the diferent unique things The Meltin Pot has to offer.
First time at the Melting Pot and we were floored. Great food, great service, great environment! Highly recommend!
Went there for my daughter's 18th Birthday. A fun, creative food experience - however, the portion sizes were small and overpriced - and the service was pretty bad, always looking for our waiter. So while I'm glad we went once, not sure I'd spring for it again.
Amazing! Sean provided the best service imaginable! Thank you so much!
Always love this place. The foods is great an dour server was very funny and nice. We had a great time celebrating a birthday.
The food was pretty good. The service was excellent and explained very well. The place is a bit run down. Front entrance chairs in poor condition. Our waitress was excellent. Had good portions of food. Overall good. It was a fun experience and different to do. We would go back.
Good food and good service. A unique dinning experience.
My better half and I have been wanting to try this place for months now. On Saturday, I surprised her by booking reservations for two. We had the Classic four course dinner. The food was out of this world and our server Sean was the BEST. Sean was courteous and well informed about the menu. I can't recommend this place enough for any fellas out there looking to be spontaneous with their woman. Just know it is a four course dinner so it takes 1-2 hours to complete. You will need to book reservations ahead and you will be paying a pretty penny. But it's worth it.
I took my kids here for the first time and was so disappointed. I have been several times and had great experiences but not this time. We had to move tables because burners were malfunctioning, drinks weren't refilled, extra sauce never appeared, the table was cluttered with empty bowls, our server rushed us and sighed loudly each time we had a question or needed another minute. The chocolate arrived cold and when we asked how long it would take to heat she cranked it way up and walked away. When I went to serve the kids I burned myself on the spoon. When our bill arrived the kids meal she described had been charged as three full price entrees, adding $75 to our bill! I didn't even argue because she had vanished again. I just left the cash, took my burnt hand and left. The food was fair but the poor service left an even worse taste in my mouth.
