This was my third time going to the melting pot, the first time in a couple of years. I suggested it for a 5-person-group hang-out for a new-years celebration. Everything from the cheese fondue, to the fresh salad, to the delicious meats, and finally to the decadent chocolate fondue was superb. Although the food is relatively expensive for a night out, the service and quality beats out most other fine dining restaurants.

Usually this restaurant is a wonderful place to splurge as an expensive evening out. The relaxed pace and unique dinner experience is perfect for celebrations. The special Big Night Out tributes are a delight and we love tasting the different cultures. The flights of wine are fantastically paired. This particular experience was poor based on the waiter and the aloofness of the manager primarily. It was disappointing and when we are spending $200 I do not want to be disappointed.

This is civilized dining. No hurry, no plates shoved in front of you and yanked away to get you moving. Food cooked slowly while you have the opportunity to interact with friends, family, and significant others. Not cheap but worth every penny.

The food was very good but our service was horrible. The server was so over the top that he annoyed all six of us the entire meal. The last thing that adults who are 40 and over want to be called is "bro's". On top of that he placed his hand on my shoulder a couple of times while serving us. The 6 of us were stuck sitting at a really long table and so you could only reach on of the two pots which was a total bummer. The people stuck in the middle on each side had people reaching over or thru them the entire meal. After spending nearly $400 on a meal we were less than thrilled to be told that an 18% gratuity was already tabulated into our bill for service that was a total bust!

I'm severely disabled but the staff at The Melting Pot spoke directly to me, adding to the dignity of treating my wife to a special anniversary dinner. Outstanding service and great ingredients for fondue!!!

Wasnt to impressed with the amount spent for the amount of food received. Did not cafe to cook our own meat & then to not have sides along with it. 1 potato for two sliced? Dessert was great but don't think we'll be back for dinner. Parking was horrible. Had to park car behind another building down the alley.

Tacoma's Melting Pot is THE place to celebrate. My parents' 50th anniversary was given special attention by our server and the assistant manager. The food always delivers with high quality. Loved the limited Big Night Out menu items. Have yet to be disappointed in The Melting Pot.

We had a very nice evening and a wonderful server, but in the end it was $325.00 for food! The four course meal offers a fun cheese fondue and a great dessert experience but the two courses in the center wasn't anything special. The biggest disappointment was, in fact, the main course which was average at best.

I have been here a few times and everytime it is great! You never feel rushed you can have a high energy group dinner or an intimate romantic evening and its always just right. I did take my daughter once, though you do have to remember when deciding there is always a very hot plate on the table.

We were not happy with the food. Our fondu parties have always had swiss cheese/bread, oil/different meats, fish batter and chocolate fondu/donuts, bananas, mashmallows etc. The basic fondu. I don't eat steak or shrimp so my only choice was the salmon. It was okay but would have liked to have more varieties to choose from. For the price, we were expecting better food. Service was good. Sorry, but we will not be coming back.

Unfortunately there was a family with small, loud children sitting next to us. I don't characterize the Melting Pot as a place you would bring small children so that did affect our experience here. Aside from that, everything was perfect!

Eating at the Melting Pot is an EVENT. Plan for at least 3 hours if you want to truly enjoy each of the four courses and the company of whom ever your with. Bryce served us well and two managers checked on us during our event.

The prices were too high. The waiter talked too fast. The wine didn't arrive with each course and we had to remind the waiter. The wine for the main course arrived when we had almost finished that course.

Everything was great until we got the bill we were told there was a military discount anytime and then when we got the bill we were told it was only valid Monday through Thursday. This was very disappointing because that was one of the reasons we decided to try the Melting Pot.

Best place for special occasion but recommend for adults due to the length of time to be seated and the time to "cook" the food. Menu offered a variety of meat choices, however no choice on type of vegetables or fruit.

We took our kids there for the first time and they were in love. We do the occasional chocolate fondue at home, and having a whole meal of different fondues was out of this world for them.

We went to the Melting Pot for our 5th anniversery. The service was wonderful, the ambiance was great. Very quiet and very private seating. The cheese dip was good, the ceser salad was ok. There was some sweet tasting nut in the salad that just didn't go with a ceser salad. Kinda runied the salad for me. When we got the main course of shrimp, chicken, steak, and pork, we couldn't believe what a small serving it was. We spent $130 for dinner that night, and my husband was hungry before bed. We dicided it was the experience we were paying for, not the dinner. It was a nice evening, but we won't do it again for that price and that amount of food. We would rather purchase a big steak and leave full. The desert was wonderful.

This is our "special occasion" and "need a two-hour break from reality" spot. My husband and I run away to the melting pot when we just need US time, good food, and good "Couples" atmosphere. The latest trip was for our anniversary on the 21st and its the first time we were actually a little dissapointed. The waitor was definitly not wanting to be their that night, it showed plainly. The food was below standard, the All American Big Night Out is actually boring, compaired to the other, more adventurous "Nights" in the past. We use Vegetable Broth cooking style and LOVE the way it flavors the vegetables while they cook and this time we may as well have been cooking with water. Not our favorite visit, but we'll try again sometime.
