Had a 7:45 reservation, arrived at 7:35 and were told to wait 15 minutes (until 7:50) for a table. Went to the bar area to order drinks while we waited. Nobody was at the bar. At around 7:50 someone finally came and took our drink orders (after waiting 15 minutes). Table was not ready until 8PM. Sat at table and waited 15 minutes to place our orders. Drinks took 45 minutes to come out - server was high on drugs. Escalated to manager, who is the same person that was late 15 minutes to the bar. After escalation things moved quicker.
Waitress that was high on drugs came back after we escalated to manager, and after manager brought more food and finally our drinks, and she was surprised "Oh, you already have new drinks? You got more food? Who brought that to you." That is how long she was gone - long enough for us to complain to a manager and the manager to bring us food and drinks.
This place is the worst run restaurant I have ever seen - the experience was terrible.
1-star is too much for this restaurant, and I will never ever recommend this place to anyone else.
This was my first time at The Melting Pot. My girlfriend and I both worked on Valentine's Day, so we decided to come here the following Saturday. I requested a rose in the reservation, and The Melting Pot delivered! I didn't even see it charged on my bill. This is wonderful customer service and I will be sure to return.
Great ambiance in the restaurant and our server Zach was friendly, made sure we understood how everything worked and took great care of us. This was our first time at Melting Pot and while it was quite pricey it was a great experience
Great time just a tad pricey when you're cooking your own food. It's great for celebrating or just a nice night out
Took over 4 hours for dinner food good service not so good.
Food was good but service didn’t meet any of my expectations. The waiter seemed very unsure and unprofesional for this predicted high caliber of a restaurant. Just one example being that the waiters phone went off in his apron while he was serving us. To which he turned his back for a second and turned his ringer off then continued taking our order. This along with several other happenings during the whole dinner left me unsatisfied when I left.
We have been before and were in and out in an hour. This time we dined on a Friday night. The place was NOT full, so I was surprised when we were there for 1.5 hours and had barely made it through the main course. There service staff was friendly BUT VERY SLOW. The manager came by and said on a Friday night you should plan on a 2 hour dining experience. The staff won't have met that goal either. Anyways, point being ... PLAN AHEAD on timing. We spent 30 minutes waiting in between our salads and our main dish (which is raw meat!). This is not a 1-1.5 or even 2 hour experience! Plan 2.5 hours; slow wait staff.
Service was slow and sub par; especially for the insane price (which was much higher than the online menu). The drinks were really weak and we had to ask & remind the manager and staff for our food multiple times. Really expensive for what you get. Be prepared to spend at least 3 hours there, 2 of which will be waiting for staff and food to arrive.
We had reservations on Valentine’s day and were seated ~30 minutes after our time slot. That being said, it was a holiday, and everything else was fantastic, so we had a great experience despite the delay. Melting pot is our Valentine’s day tradition, but I think we’ll be returning to our favorite Bellevue location next year. Highly recommend either location.
Unfortunately our experience was not enjoyable. We were understanding about having to wait for our reservation for 30 min, of course it’s busy for the holiday. But once we arrived at our table; i paid for the flowers and champagne and strawberries, and to my disappointment they hadn’t been set for us. So we waited again. The crab legs didn’t come out as appetizers but with our cheese. And lastly didn’t even get the strawberries once we were leaving. After spending close to 300$ i expected way more. On the plus side the gift bag was nice.. just Not what i expected at all.

When we first arrived there we were very excited. We have been there 3 times before and it’s our favorite restaurant. We were informed after we sat that we couldn’t share because it was valentines, we were okay with this because it’s a special day. Then when the cheese fondue came we found out that our silverware was all dirty. A couple minutes later our service came back and asked how it was going we told him the silverware was dirty so he grabbed it quickly and went to go get us new ones. He returned about 5 minutes later with new silverware and said he checked it to make sure it was clean. I opened mine up and saw that there was chocolate all over one of the pokers. I put it aside and he replaced it. When the meat came we were very excited, it’s our favorite part and right when we started eating there was a long black hair in the seasoning of the beef. This made us not want to eat anything. When our waiter returned we told him about the hair and he took the plate and said I’ll have the cooks make you a new one. He didn’t even say sorry. About 10 minutes later he returned with new meat. We cautiously ate it because we were scared about another hair. We really didn’t feel like eating after this and we wanted to leave. Then, he offered to get me more veggies and he didn’t return with more for a half hour so I was full and didn’t want them anymore. When he brought the chocolate fondue he didn’t realize till after he mixed all the chocolate that our pokers were dirty again. He didn’t return with new pokers for about 10 minutes. As the meal came to an end we received our bill and to our surprise we were still charged full priced even though we had so many problems throughout the meal. This dinner was very upsetting and we will not be returning to the melting pot anytime soon.
We have a tradition of coming to the melting pot, but this year, I found that the menu is more limited, and more expensive than it was in years past. Overall, I was disappointed, and I think we will start a new tradition for our celebrations.

We have celebrated our anniversary at The Melting Pot for several years now, however, we will go elsewhere next year. We arrived about 20 minutes early so we decided to grab a drink and wait in the bar. The hostess stopped us and told us that the bar was full. There were only 3 people seated at the bar, there were people at tables in the bar, so I told her the barstools at the bar where there were only 3 people would be fine, but she still refused to let us in. So we had to stand in front of the door and wait. Moving out of the way of people coming in, it was not comfortable. Another couple gave up and left to go to the bar down the road. Then, when we were finally seated, the table was awful. It was a booth divided by a wall so we couldn't even sit across from each other. Also, the seats were so warn, that we were sitting in the wood frame. Very uncomfortable! I asked to be moved and was told that there were no other tables. Yet, when I went to the restroom several sections had open tables. I told the waitress that I had booked over two weeks in advance and I wondered why we got such a bad table. She said that we would have had to ask for a booth in the comments if the reservation if we wanted a regular table. Then, the service was very slow. Our waitress was great, but you could tell that they were short staffed because it took her awhile to come back around. If we needed anything, it was a wait. The food was great, when we finally got it. I'm just bummed that we picked The Melting Pot for our celebration. Maybe it was just a bad night for them, but we will pick a different place next time.
During our visit, our pot got stuck to the burner. Rather than just move us to a new table, the restaurant spent 30 minutes + trying to get it off. We ran out of time to eat our meal slowly and for dessert. Rather than comp us anything, we got a voucher to return for chocolate dessert. They were nice about it, but I feel this really could have been handled differently. I paid $88 to rush through a meal that was mediocre at best and we couldn't even enjoy the meal which is the entire purpose for going to the melting pot in the first place. :(
The food was good. Our server was courteous and knowledgeable.
However, I won't be returning. After dishing out $200 for two people, you expect to leave with a smile on your face. But the wait between courses was excruciating. From start to finish, we were in the restaurant for 3-1/2 hours.
Hire more staff.
Went for my boyfriends birthday with a couple friends. We were seated in a section where ALL the overhead lights were flickering and going out. It was so bad we had to ask if we could move to a table where the light had just gone out. We were still in the same section, though so all the lights were flickering around us and we had to listen to everyone else in that section complaining. The manager gave us (and everyone in our section) each a small glass of champagne as a consolation, and comped a drink, but we all left with headaches anyway. Food took an awful long time to be addressed, considering there were only 2 other small parties in our section (like 2 people each). The place was overall empty. Our server was a nice guy, but messed up our order twice and didn't remember things we had ordered (I.e we ordered the additional dessert option plate for $7.95/ea and he didn't bring it to us until we were OUT of chocolate. I wish he hadn't even brought it out at that point). Overall the experience for my significant others birthday were not the best, in hindsight I should have made my reservations for the Bellevue location.
In of my favorite dining places. Great food particularly cheese fondue. Outstanding meat and chicken and salad with house dressing is simple and tasty.
I love the Melting Pot and this was my first time visiting the one in Seattle. Love the location! Our waiter was just a tad slow to bring our food to us. He seemed more involved in the table next to us that my daughter and I. Luckily we had no where to be so the slowness wasn't a huge deal.
