I’ve gone to many melting pots including thins one previously and the service was unfortunately really poor. I walked into a gentleman complaining about the service him and his family received only to get bad service myself. Our water disappeared for long periods of time to the point our cheese burnt down , we had to ask other waiters for help and when I told the waiter the chicken tasted “ weird “ he just laughed and walked away. This was unfortunate as I had planned a date night with my boyfriend that flew in from Alabama. He was excited to go, but after the service and food the mood quickly changed to frustration.

Variety was encouraging, but overwhelming need to use wine with every fondue was a little much. I can’t mmmm to eat my dinner not drink it. Plus I didn’t realize it takes 3 1/2 hours to have a 4 course dinner.

It was pricey but you're not just getting food you're also getting a very unique experience. Food was delicicious, staff very friendly and professional, and it was very enjoyable.

We've been to Melting Pot many times but this trip did not live up to reputation. We gave our selves 2 hours for our meal since we had to make a show after dinner and told our server when we needed to leave. The server was so extraordinarily slow that we didn't get to the chocolate course. We only had 4 people and we shared plates as couples, there's no reason it should have taken this long. 20 to 30 minutes between the cheese and salad as well as another 40 minutes between the salad and main course. Drinks were slow coming out too.

They gave us a voucher to get our chocolate course at another time but this was a birthday trip and not getting through it all was very upsetting.

That being said, I've always enjoyed the experience and food when I've been there before and can probably chalk this one up to an inexperienced server.

We visited for my daughter's birthday and were fortunate for timing with Seattle Restaurant Week so we could bring all five of us.

When we first walked in, it was 2-3 minutes before we were greeted by anyone - the hostess station was empty. It was a super quick wait before our entire party arrived so we could be seated. I can't say I understood why we had to wait because the restaurant was nearly restaurant when we got there, but no big deal.

The big deal, however, was how we had to wait literally more than 30 min from when we were first seated to get anything to drink. Our server had come by once to say hello, drop menus then came back a second time to get our drink order -- but 30 minutes? I know bars can get backed up but at least offer us water or something? Yikes.

The meal progressed fine. Our server had a pleasant personality. The food was fine, although my goodness we ended up taking more than three hours. While we used the time for lots of family catchup time, this was far more than we anticipated.

I've had much better experiences at the Tacoma location; only the lure of SRW brought us here. I like to provide an ample gratuity for servers at nicer restaurants and when the meal is so "leisurely", but our server only got a smidge over 15% for what we felt was a just-passable experience.

The Melting Pot is always a fun experience that allows you to play with your food. Recommend sharing a four course meal because the pacing of courses will one to leave full as well as to economize.

Nice high booths to allow for quiet conversation.

This visit was so special! We were celebrating our marriage and chose to come here on our honeymoon. The atmosphere was very romantic, the food was phenomenal, and the service was outstanding!! Our waitress even surprised us with two glasses of champagne to finish off the celebration! It was the most romantic and perfect outing of our entire honeymoon! Thank you melting pot for making it so special for us! <3

My wife, sister and I went to the Melting Pot during restaurant week. The waiter went above and beyond to bring my wife gluten and brassica free options. the only complaint we had was we did not understand we would be charged for the extra cheese fondue per person. WE had a lovely time. It is definitely a special occasion place.

This space feels like an old cubicle office turned into a cheap restaurant. The booths make sound bounce off each other making conversation a bit awkward. Food was meh, I expected higher quality all around.

We went during Seattle Restaurant Week and ordered the 3 course dinner. The salads were mediocre, using bag lettuce and nothing special for the toppings or dressing. Our main course had chicken that was "crunchy" after cooked. I had never tasted chicken with that texture before. Terrible!! The rest of the meats were just ok and very small portions. The dipping sauces were nothing special either. We were very disappointed with the meal.
The one part that was acceptable was the chocolate dessert fondue.
We won't be going back for sure. Glad we didn't pay regular price!!

The experience was very bad. Even though i had reservations, I was made to wait for 7-8 for my table which is extremely pathetic. I met about three people before I met the waiter who would be taking my order. The waiter wasn’t very hospitable either. Had the experience been a little more hospitable and nice, i would have stayed longer and ordered more food. From the moment we were seated, both me and my boyfriend couldn’t wait to finish off the food and leave. We eventually ate somewhere else where the atmosphere was more welcoming. Will never come back here.

Food to value ratio was poor. The amount spent for 3 people to dine and eat some cheese and broth with a few cuts of beef was outrageous. Took too long for service as well. We were there 2 hours. Had we known it would take that long would have made reservations earlier.

We started our night at 5:15pm and we were having such a great time but when it became 7:00pm and we had not gotten started on the main portion because we were attending the ballet we ran out of time.

We paid our full bill and the GM was so gracious and let us come back after the ballet to finish our other two courses. They even served another cheese fondue with a treat! Yummy.

The customer service was exceptional and I would go back again because it was handled with grace.

My fiancee and I went out for a Saturday night date and this was our first time here. Brett made some amazing Yin Yang martinis (vanilla extract was the secret!). The service was slow, but we appreciated that because it gave us ample time to finish the course brought to us. We shared (1) 4 course dinner and it was more than enough for 2. We even had a refill on dessert dippers. W will definitely go back!

Waiting was absurdly long. Reservations made still had to wait 35 min. Whole dinner took 3 plus hours. Salad was yellow and wilted. Dessert was great, cheese was above average.

Went to celebrate my birthday for a dinner date with my wife. We had never been before. It was a great experience. We had no idea how much food the 4 course meal actually consisted. We were beyond stuffed leaving. My wife before going thought we would be paying for the experience, however we were both very pleasantly surprised by the great food quality!

Our first visit to Seattle location! Must say my favorite in Washington! Been to them all. PLEASE PLEASE bring back the spinach pasta and CHEESECAKE and cocktail sauce for shrimp. Had a wonderful date night with my love.. did I mention CHEESECAKE forget the marshmallows and brownies ❤️👏🤷‍♀️❤️

This is the review I left for the restaurant

We had concert tickets 5 minutes away at 9:30, needing to leave by 9:10, so I made reservations for 6:45 so we had plenty of time. We had to wait after our reservation time to be seated. We were sat next to the kitchen with a curtain hiding the traffic. The burner was not turned on high enough to heat and it smelled like an electrical burn smell. It was very off putting. When our cheese was made, not enough liquid was put in. The bread wouldn’t stick to the cheese. It tasted like a Luke warm grilled cheese sandwich. We spoke to the manager and he moved us and remade the cheese course. It was somewhat better. We still smelled the burnt smell. Our entree came out wrong. By the time the correct one came out it was 8:38, almost 2 hours past our reservation time. Before we finished our entree, we told our waitress there was no time for chocolate and please bring the bill. We left at 9:20 with a voucher for chocolate. We left cash so we didn’t have to wait longer. Thankfully there was still a line at Jazz Alley or we would have been late. We normally go to the Tacoma location. We will not return to the Seattle location. This was not a good experience. We go to the Melting Pot 6-12 times a year. This was not up to par.

While the fondue is just fine (nothing special, really), it is just SOOOOO expensive. We took our 11 year-old daughter out to celebrate her first 4.0 GPA, and walked out of there $160 lighter. For what you actually get, not even close to worth it.

Took us 3 1/2 hours for our meal. Absolutely ridiculous. Every time the waiter left saying he would be right back with something it took him atleast 30 minutes to return and when he did he came back with an excuse as to why it took so long. There way maybe 4 tables with customers in the whole restaurant and he was very accommodating to everyone except us. He even made a point to tell us how he was accommodating them and that is why it took him so long to get to us. When you are paying over 150$ for a meal I don’t care what is going on I expect the service to be just as good at my table as it is at the next persons table. Absolutely unprofessional and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone simply based on the service we received.

Awful money pit. You are served plates of low-quality ingredients and charged exceptional amounts of money to stick them in a boiling pot of cheap liquid. Service is awful (and an additional 3.5% is automatically added because the restaurant refuses to pay the kitchen staff a living wage despite the outrageous prices, so they pass them along to the consumer).

The food was great as always. It’s always fun to be able to sit down, slow down, and enjoy playing and cooking with your food. They offer a nice variety of proteins and veggies. My sons favorite place for his birthday dinner. Our service this time was not exceptional, but it is usually fairly decent. They also offer valet parking so you don’t have to worry about finding a spot. We will definitely go again for other special occasions.

Had a 7:45 reservation, arrived at 7:35 and were told to wait 15 minutes (until 7:50) for a table. Went to the bar area to order drinks while we waited. Nobody was at the bar. At around 7:50 someone finally came and took our drink orders (after waiting 15 minutes). Table was not ready until 8PM. Sat at table and waited 15 minutes to place our orders. Drinks took 45 minutes to come out - server was high on drugs. Escalated to manager, who is the same person that was late 15 minutes to the bar. After escalation things moved quicker.
Waitress that was high on drugs came back after we escalated to manager, and after manager brought more food and finally our drinks, and she was surprised "Oh, you already have new drinks? You got more food? Who brought that to you." That is how long she was gone - long enough for us to complain to a manager and the manager to bring us food and drinks.
This place is the worst run restaurant I have ever seen - the experience was terrible.
1-star is too much for this restaurant, and I will never ever recommend this place to anyone else.

This was my first time at The Melting Pot. My girlfriend and I both worked on Valentine's Day, so we decided to come here the following Saturday. I requested a rose in the reservation, and The Melting Pot delivered! I didn't even see it charged on my bill. This is wonderful customer service and I will be sure to return.

Food was good but service didn’t meet any of my expectations. The waiter seemed very unsure and unprofesional for this predicted high caliber of a restaurant. Just one example being that the waiters phone went off in his apron while he was serving us. To which he turned his back for a second and turned his ringer off then continued taking our order. This along with several other happenings during the whole dinner left me unsatisfied when I left.
