A fun dining experience! I highly recommend the flaming turtle dessert fondue.
Not sure what has happened to the melting pot. We use to able to go and have dinner with friends and enjoy 4 courses without being rushed. Not anymore. The cheese course and salad course come out together the speed things up. Staff would grab dishes off the table without you being finished. Then we got our bill and we were nickeled and dined to the extreme. We had one coke. Charged for 2. Unless they charge for refills now. You also have to pay for the entree cooking style broth. It was our friends birthdays and they brought out these little plates with a chocolate covered strawberry and a candle charged us for that which we didn’t even ask for. I spoke to the manager about being rushed and he said we have had complaints about speed of service. Ok. Well we will not be making that mistake again.
The Melting Pot is more than a restaurant it is an experience. Love it, so did our 8 year olds.
I went for my birthday but thwy never acknowledged it even though I mentioned it.
The place was interesting. The decor was definitely outdated. They offered international bottled water but ran out of my first choice. The first wait staff took our drink order but forgot to deliver us our drink. The melted cheese is only for the first course but the waiter thought it was funny how many people are confused by it. By the way he didn't tell us either. The whole thing was kind of confusing. We cook our own entree in the boiling broth. Hence fondue but I didn't know. I thought that just meant dipping into melted goodness. We left very full but both of us had loose bowels the next day. I'm glad I did it once in my life but don't plan on returning. They were good about my gluten free diet. The waiter was kind, seemed short handed and under appreciated. Plus they added 3% to our bill to cover Seattle taxes!
The more the merrier for sharing fondue, so this restaurant is a good option for groups of family and/or friends.
Food was delicious and waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable!
We had a nice time, but it was just that... nice. Not an amazing, fun, or unique experience. The customer experience was disappointing. Fondue is more fun at home, this restaurant tries to make fondue "upscale" in feeling.
It was way too expensive for the quality of food (especially considering its fondue...the restaurant isn't cooking anything), the menu is confusing, the style of the decor is outdated, they were out of the liquor we ordered.
The only thing I can say is we were treated well by the staff.
The Melting Pot needs a TOTAL restaurant experience and quality MAKEOVER.
Delicious 4 course meal + charcuterie board.
the food and service were so disappointing. The fondue was so full of wine we couldn't taste the cheese. One of our group is a nondrinker so she couldn't even eat the fondue. The waiter agreed to give us a different fondue but then didn't come back to the table for 40 minutes. We timed him. By then, we had to leave as we had to get to our concert. He took the fondue off the bill but we would have rather eaten. The restaurant wasn't that busy so I am not sure why the service was so bad. We all got ice waters. It only got refilled once after being empty for the same 40 minutes. I don't like to leave bad reviews but this was just too much to bare.
Food was great! Service was good at the start, but as restaurant got busier, we hardly saw our waitress. Had to wait a long time for dessert course.
Awesome food for the value. Service was outstanding. The Father's Day Special was a great option. Dessert is a must.
Way to expensive! Food was great but the cost for what you get isn't worth the price!
Everything was mediocre. Our bill was ~$240 with tip for 2 adults and 2 kids. Which is kind of crazy. I saw the menu, saw the prices, nothing was misleading. It is just a lot of money for a mediocre experience.
I would say this is my last time every even thinking about going to the Melting Pot and I would likely recommend others avoid it.
Had a great time and a wonderful experience - from the phone call to confirm reservations to entering the lobby, all the way to dessert, Marco and his staff went over the top to make sure we were well taken care of! Thank you guys, we will definitely be back sooner than later.
Absolutely fabulous meal... service was extremely slow! Waiter would disappear for 20+ minutes. I have had slow service here in the past, and my 4-course meal would take almost 3 hrs. This meal was just under 4 hours!!! Even though I love the food, I may not continue eating here because of the time commitment.
Superb service. They went above and beyond for us.
I really like Melting Pot restaurants. I went to a Bellevue location and Seattle - both are great. The food is interesting, with many options and tastes awesome! Staff is professional and friendly. I would grab my friends to visit this place as many times as possible!
Very good with good service.
I had a 5:45 reservation and a 8 concert at Key Arena which is about 3 blocks away and we were still late to the show due to the poor service probably an hour between the appetizer and the actual meal with the server disappearing for periods of 30 to 35 minutes.
I can't think of another time I've had service that bad before with that much time prior to a show.
Good but overpriced. Fun to do for the experience.
Love, love, loved it. Will definitely go back! If there was an Americas Got Talent for restraints, this would get a golden buzzer. Best place in the world!
Made a reservations and still had to wait another hour. Server took a very long time to clear plates and bring the next course.
Different experience but very expensive for what it is. Outdated felt like a extremely overpriced cafe. Would go back and recommend it if the price was cut in half.
We had a 5:30 reservation and did not get seated until 7pm. The hostess and the manager didn’t seem to care that people had to wait an hour + for their table. How does a restaurant get that far behind on reservations?!? Will not be going back.
My wife and I took our daughter here for her 12th Birthday. Overall, I would say it was a fun experience, but the service was quite slow, the food was only OK, and price was quite high. There is much better food out there for much less money. I would absolutely go back for the desert fondue, but I have a hard time recommending it for anything else. We all did the full multi-course meal option and it was way too much food for us. If you are a big eater, you may be fine, but I wish we had bought our food course by course and probably even shared more.
Good food, Mari was the only one serving all the tables and hence the time for food to arrive was more than expected. But overall, the food was really good and the staff was friendly and welcoming
The service by Mari was impeccable and professional. The food was delicious and we look forward to a return visit!
I was disappointed in our experience. The food was great as we have come to expect at the Melting Pot but we were not impressed by the service or ambience. We had made a reservation online and when we arrived we told the staff of our reservation, which we had arrived 5 minutes before, and they told us they would be with us shortly. They sat everyone in the waiting area and we were still waiting 15 minutes later. My husband and I wondered why we had bothered making reservations. When they finally came to seat us there was no apology or thank you for waiting. I climbed into my seat for dinner and sunk instantly into a very uncomfortable, lumpy seat. My husband's was the same. We remarked that for the price of the food you would think they could have comfortable seating. Then service took a while and the heating element was not working. It took us 30 minutes before they decided to bring out our salads first and the heating element finally started to work. Again, no apology or offer of anything. We have been to several different Melting Pots in several different cities and this was our worst experience. We will not be back to this location.
I’ve gone to many melting pots including thins one previously and the service was unfortunately really poor. I walked into a gentleman complaining about the service him and his family received only to get bad service myself. Our water disappeared for long periods of time to the point our cheese burnt down , we had to ask other waiters for help and when I told the waiter the chicken tasted “ weird “ he just laughed and walked away. This was unfortunate as I had planned a date night with my boyfriend that flew in from Alabama. He was excited to go, but after the service and food the mood quickly changed to frustration.
Variety was encouraging, but overwhelming need to use wine with every fondue was a little much. I can’t mmmm to eat my dinner not drink it. Plus I didn’t realize it takes 3 1/2 hours to have a 4 course dinner.
Food was very good.
Tori was the best server!! Food was amazing!
It was pricey but you're not just getting food you're also getting a very unique experience. Food was delicicious, staff very friendly and professional, and it was very enjoyable.
We've been to Melting Pot many times but this trip did not live up to reputation. We gave our selves 2 hours for our meal since we had to make a show after dinner and told our server when we needed to leave. The server was so extraordinarily slow that we didn't get to the chocolate course. We only had 4 people and we shared plates as couples, there's no reason it should have taken this long. 20 to 30 minutes between the cheese and salad as well as another 40 minutes between the salad and main course. Drinks were slow coming out too.
They gave us a voucher to get our chocolate course at another time but this was a birthday trip and not getting through it all was very upsetting.
That being said, I've always enjoyed the experience and food when I've been there before and can probably chalk this one up to an inexperienced server.
Lovely staff and delicious food!
We waited 45 mins for cheese fondue to be served from the moment our reservation started. The delay set us back some.
We visited for my daughter's birthday and were fortunate for timing with Seattle Restaurant Week so we could bring all five of us.
When we first walked in, it was 2-3 minutes before we were greeted by anyone - the hostess station was empty. It was a super quick wait before our entire party arrived so we could be seated. I can't say I understood why we had to wait because the restaurant was nearly restaurant when we got there, but no big deal.
The big deal, however, was how we had to wait literally more than 30 min from when we were first seated to get anything to drink. Our server had come by once to say hello, drop menus then came back a second time to get our drink order -- but 30 minutes? I know bars can get backed up but at least offer us water or something? Yikes.
The meal progressed fine. Our server had a pleasant personality. The food was fine, although my goodness we ended up taking more than three hours. While we used the time for lots of family catchup time, this was far more than we anticipated.
I've had much better experiences at the Tacoma location; only the lure of SRW brought us here. I like to provide an ample gratuity for servers at nicer restaurants and when the meal is so "leisurely", but our server only got a smidge over 15% for what we felt was a just-passable experience.
The Melting Pot is always a fun experience that allows you to play with your food. Recommend sharing a four course meal because the pacing of courses will one to leave full as well as to economize.
Nice high booths to allow for quiet conversation.
This visit was so special! We were celebrating our marriage and chose to come here on our honeymoon. The atmosphere was very romantic, the food was phenomenal, and the service was outstanding!! Our waitress even surprised us with two glasses of champagne to finish off the celebration! It was the most romantic and perfect outing of our entire honeymoon! Thank you melting pot for making it so special for us! <3
