Took a very long time to get any beverage we ordered.
Our server was absolutely amazing! He made our dining experience even better and the manager came to our table to welcome us to their location! Overall, I would recommend the Queen Ann, Seattle location (the best I’ve been to) to anyone!
We had an incredible time, service was amazing, food was tasty and fondue, so fun. It was belated birthday for my teenage son and our server, David, completely spoiled him and kept him and the husband happy, occupied and FULL, for over 2 hours, no easy fete 😉 Thanks for an amazing time!
Awesome dinner. Staff was amazing! Atmosphere was nice and calm.
The food was good. Felt a little rushed due to near closing time.
It's fun to do, but a dinner for two with a Coke and a glass of wine shouldn't be $200.
We were missing the one back in Va Beach so we decided to go have dinner on New Year’s Eve. Our server was great. The one in Va Beach has the fondue for two and we thought we were getting that but we were mistaken. The entire meal was phenomial!!!! We will be going back but not till October!
I took my boyfriend here for an anniversary and it was fantastic! A little pricey but absolutely worth it, friendly waiters and excellent food, very romantic atmosphere.
Best of 4 is a good deal..great for a family experience. Dont leave your wallet at home!
I went to dinner with a 17 year old and we drank the Blackberry Lemonade which was excellent, but when the bill came it was 202.00 before tip. I was in a hurry as we were going to a show at the Paramount and I just gave the waiter Brenden my card, i have no idea what I paid for and we were still hungry when we left.\
I had made a reservation to celebrate our Anniversary; we missed the reservation by a couple minutes (our own fault) but the hostess was gracious to shift us to the next available seating, so we only waited another 15 minutes. That being, I am not sure where our original table was, but the table we ended up getting was in this little corner right next to the kitchen door, which was only separated by a medium-weight curtain, that wasn't closed most of the time. We got to bask in the chatter and noise of the kitchen comings-and-goings our entire meal.
Our server did seem well versed in the menu and made some cooking recommendations. He was a bit more chatty, than personable. And kept forgetting things.
Food wise; we opted for the Four Course ensemble for each of us, and that was quite worth it.
-Neither of us ordered a cocktail, but there were a few I would like to try.
-I didn't love our choice of cheese, but that's my own err; I certainly intend to go back and try another. The platter of breads, apples, and veggies made for a nice mix. And yes, the apples with cheese was quite delightful.
-Salads were average; nothing exceptional about them.
-Entrees; we both got the mix of beef, pork, chicken, and shrimp. Cooked in the Caribbean-seasoned broth; that made for excellent shrimp, but everything else was also very good. You could see where some of the broths/oils are better suited to different meats, so it would be nice to individually try those pairings, but this particular night, my wife and I were both feeling quite carnivorous.
-The dessert provided a nice spread of fresh sliced fruits, cake pieces, brownies, rice krispy treats, and marshmallows; delectably dipped in a milk chocolate-white chocolate blend.
Overall, it was quite an enjoyable experience for our first time. We certainly intend to go again.
I decided to take my wife to the city for her birthday and go to the Melting pot for dinner. Neither of us had been there before, but cheese and chocolate are my wife's favorite things, so what could go wrong? We were seated at a dirty table (reservation was at 4:15 so it was dirty from the day before) so my wife used her napkin to wipe up the grease and pieces of food. When the waiter got there she told him and his response was "that happens here", and didn't offer to wipe the table, or even get her a new napkin. The kid was nice enough but needs to work on his over sharing. When we told him we were there for her birthday, for some reason he decided to tell us how he had been diagnosed as bipolar the day before Christmas and had to take the day off and go on anti-depressants. We told him that we are not big eaters and were only going to get appetizers and dessert. The first cheese was ok but the second was kind of awful so we didn't eat it, plus the bread was stale. Then we ordered dessert. We sat there for 40 minutes and no one came to our table. Our drinks were empty, our burner went cold, and we eventually cleaned our own table. When we finally went to get someone for our bill we were told that it's a 2 hour dinning experience, which I'm sure is appropriate for the 4 course meal, but not for appetizers and dessert. We heard the manager and our waiter go back and forth about how he was overworked and such, then the manager cut a chunk off our bill. The manager himself never came to speak to us, but offered us vouchers through our waiter, which we declined. We paid and left. We will never go to a Melting Pot again. Thank you for my wife's wonderful birthday dinner.
We had a great time! It was my daughters 22nd birthday and she wanted to have a birthday dinner here. Service and friendliness was wonderful!! Thank you all so much!!
We were celebrating a special event and made a reservation weeks in advance. We were seated at a table upstairs and way in the back--had been hoping for something a bit better. This is a novelty restaurant so we knew prices would be high. However, this was a bit much. We ordered cheese fondue for 2, an order of 3-type grilled meat, a small salad, two sodas, one mixed drink, and chocolate fondue for 2. The cheese fondue was not very flavorful nor very hot, and the bread cubes were rather stale. The meat was good but definitely small--everyone got two bite-size pieces of chicken and one tiny piece of steak plus a few veggies for $40. The dipping sauces were OK--could have been more interesting. The chocolate fondue was the highlight. We spent $160 including the tip for a very small meal. Our server was friendly and funny. The restaurant hostesses were rude on the phone and unfriendly in person. All in all, we had fun here but the food and atmosphere were lackluster. Next time, I'll just make fondue at home.
Way too expensive for melted cheese and chocolate 200$ bill for a couple easy, don’t go here unless money is something you have lots of and don’t mind blowing it
The service was great but the quality of the food did not match the price tag.
Server and manager were great, the decor was comfortable and clean. Personally just did not care for the dinner the meat was tough with very little flavor (likely because of our choice of cooking method) Did not feel the meal was worth the price.
Highly disappointed in the service and quality of the meal.
Would not recommend or ever return to this location.
Our waitress was wonderful! She made our night! Thank you Zieppora!
It’s an experience for sure. Our daughter enjoys the special night out. Our server was nice but a little scattered. I also think the ladies restroom is pretty gross.
It was our first time... Didn't realize how long it takes per course so we had to leave prior to dessert (received a voucher) Felt being it was right across from Theater a "good server" would ask if you were attending... could help then guide. Felt it was alot of money for a rush meal (couldn't even provide me extra crackers that I had asked for) Would go back if time was no worry
Food quality was not what it used to be server was slow (or stoned?) smelly (I shouldnt smell my server...if I can it best not be evidence of poor hygiene ) and inefficient at some things - couldn’t get us a straw? Ordered apple juice for our daughter and were told they don’t carry it - yet it is a component of one of the drinks on the children’s menu. Server was impatient in other items: kept asking if we were ready for chocolate when we were clearly still mid entree experience. Meats were not good quality - substantial amount had tough sinew which rendered it difficult if not impossible to eat. Daughter got a piece of bone in one bite that she had to spit out. Dessert was clearly shorted - not enough chocolate to cover the items brought to dip. We’ve never experienced that - always have extra chocolate left over. Have consistently been able to order a Belvedere martini but now they don’ t carry it or anything comparable. Very noisy - we were sat upstairs and there was some noise that happened quite frequently that sounded like someone had just fallen down the stairs.
We used to really enjoy the experience and were quite dismayed with the experience. We won’t be back to the Seattle restaurant- and will be guarded if we try Bellevue.
This place was the perfect place to enjoy a quiet early birthday dinner for two. The service was beyond amazing as was the food. I would definitely recommend The Melting Pot.
Took my 8 year old for a mommy and me date and it was perfect.
We Had Derek Etter As Our Server And He Was Amazing! Loved Him!
Confusing menu. Pricey. Dipping sauces are bland. We chose a 3 course menu but somehow had a 4 course meal and charged for it. Felt very deceived from the get go. Can not recommend any item we ordered.
Took time to get seated even though we had a reservation, and only 3-4 guests total in the building, they were out of wine we wanted, new manager was very nice and welcoming, first waiter was terrible, 2nd was fantastic.
The restaurant was unusually busy for a Sunday night, perhaps because it was the first day of "endless fondue."
I had pre-ordered the "date night" add ons, which included a bottle of sparkling wine. I assumed, erroneously, that it would be the least expensive wine listed on the menu. Nope. It was a $7 screw top (!) California sparkling wine that tasted like apple cider and had almost no bubbles. I asked for a manager; she was very polite and offered to refund the $29 or give us a different bottle. I selected the St Michelle (least expensive). This was good customer service; however, I think we were charged the difference in price, because there was an unexplained service charge that was almost the exact dollar difference.
Thus I cannot recommend the "date night" add-on or any add-on that includes sparking wine.
As the result of a very large group (26 people) according to our server, we had to wait a long time for our entree. Although both plates were delivered without filet mignon, our server did not advise us that we were missing an entree.
When I asked about the filet on his next check of us, he explained that the restaurant had run out and that we could order another entree. [He should have done this when he delivered the entrees.] He gave us a menu and left. We decided on mahi mahi, which tasted fishy (fresh fish does not taste "fishy.")
Because we were upstairs, we did not experience the casual "walk by" of all servers that you do downstairs; consequently, we had to wait a long time between visits.
We didn't eat a lot or very slowly, but we were there three hours.
The service was incredibly slow. It took nearly two hours and we just had cheese fondue and a main course for three adults. We had ordered the four course but because of the amount of time it was taking we opted to skip the salads and dessert. The food was mediocre, at best. Definitely not worth the over $250 bill. We went in with high expectations of having a fun and somewhat nicer meal before heading to the ballet, but we ended up being late for the show and very disappointed.
We love the melting pot. Come here about once a year. Waitress this time was horrible. She would disappear for 20-30 minutes at a time.
Our waitress was great! She made us laugh and our time with her was enjoyable.
Extremely expensive for the portions. The flavor was great, the staff were nice. Parking is a little challenging. Would like more than 4 small bites of the varied protiens and very cheap with the vegetables. I think my wife and I each got 1 each of the vegetables. You can walk out satisfied as long as you grab a snack somewhere on the way.
I've never been charged so much money for such a teeny-tiny amount of (very low-quality, stale, not clean) food. We had to go home and eat another dinner bc the portions at melting pot were miniscule.
While the meal was fine, and it is a fun experience, even with the groupon it is extremely over priced for what you get. The salads looked like they came from a bag (limp and bland). Would maybe go again but just for either appetizer or dessert. Cost us close to $300 for 2 adults and 2 kids which included the groupon. Cannot imagine would it would be if we didn't have the groupon. Just not practical for a family dinner.
Our waitress, Erin, was great. She was so patient with us as we were newbies. She went over the entire menu with us and made some awesome suggestions. The food was great, with lots of flavor. We will be going back for sure. Thank you
Pretty expensive for what you get. The server was ok not amazing. And the food was alright.
Our waiter was so kind and attentive. I can’t recall his name but it was short and unique. He revisited our table multiple times to make sure everything was in order and offered us extras when we ran out. He congratulated us on our anniversary with apple cider (he sweetly picked as we didn’t order alcoholic drinks) and was very witty and funny. We absolutely loved our experience at this Melting Pot 1000x better then the other we had been to. Just better service and care all around on our special day! Thank you!!
It was wonderful
Derrek the Server was wonderful. His interaction with our family was engaging and fun. Tell him thank you
The service was great, very knowledgeable! The food of course is amazing.
