I hope they open a new Scottsdale location. I assume Scottsdale/PV residents aren’t going to drive out to Arrowhead or Awatukee, I know we aren’t.
We have eaten there several times over the years going back to when it was in it's smaller location in the North portion of the same center. It has always been a pleasant experience with great service and wonderful food. We use it as a special place for events such as an anniversary or birthday. It is a shame that we are loosing the Scottsdale location due to a landlord's greed.
Restaurant Week special is always a great value and our fondue meal experience was fantastic. This location is closing soon so we are greatly disappointed. We were able to purchase a souvenir copper mule mug shaped like a fondue pot which we love (affordably available in copper, red & silver). You must go one more time in Scottsdale before they close!
Waiters were not consistent towards the end of the visit. Nothing special even though I told them it was someone’s birthday.
I’m sorry this location is closing. I have always had a great experience here.
So sad that this location is closing for now. We have been here many times over the last 19 years for special occasions with family. The food here tonight as a most nights was excellent. The service is spectacular and always accommodating. You will never be rushed to open up the table. Make no mistake this is not a inexpensive meal but you will go home feeling full and with a smile on your face.
Too bad this restaurant is closing. We have been going there since its early days in Scottsdale, and it has always been consistently good.
We visited your Scottsdale location on Saturday 9/7/19, our reservation through opentable was for 4 pm and we arrived early since we took our kiddos! We were seated almost right away, we hadn't been to a melting pot in a while but since we knew that the Scottsdale location was closing and it was always our favorite location we decided to visit that one! OUR SERVICE WAS HORRENDOUS!!!!! Nichelle, saw we were having trouble with the menu and deciding what to order, it took us 2 hrs to complete our courses which we waited 30 minutes for the first while the family that arrived 30 minutes after us got their cheese course within minutes of ordering, besides how minimal the dipping extras were and how Nichelle was so unwilling to help us with our meal! Due to the price point of the drinks and the stupidity of Nichelle, only our kiddos got lemonades because she asked 5 yr olds what they wanted to drink. We spent $150 on a dinner that was disappointing!
Sad to hear this place is closing. Was our first time here and it was amazing. I believe the waiter was Clayton, but think he goes by CJ.
Took my wife there for her birthday, they had roses and balloons laid out per my request. CJ was not shy about making hesitations which greatly enhanced our experience. Definitely more pricy than our usual dining, but worth every penny.
I didn't realize how the "fondue concept" is dead now. The restaurant was empty, felt like a ghost town and the staff unavailable for first 10 minutes, even though we had a reservation and the place was empty. Absolutely, no life, no excitement, just dead. The decor and music felt like we should have been 80 yrs. old., no offense, but not at all what we were looking for.
The prices were way too high for what you get. The menu was very hard to understand. In my opinion the way the meat was served, especially the huge chunks of raw chicken is not safe, especially for kids. We were very surprised that the Health Department would even let this happen. If the chicken would have been smaller chunks, that could of made a little difference, maybe. We did not like the fact that there were curtains that were closed the whole time, as we could not see out of the booth. Just wasn’t a very good experience, wasn’t at all what we expected. Would never recommend this restaurant to a friend or family.
Not as good as in the past. Food quality was just ok
Birthday; too bad it’s closing
The service was wonderful!
Service was unacceptable. We had to wait far to long for our server to initially come to our table when we saw her go to other tables around us numerous times. We were made to wait several other times that was unacceptable. We had to ask for more water to drink three times before we finally got it. The food was delicious as usual. There is no excuse for that kind of service.
had a 530 reservation waited long for seating ordered and it was 620 before food arrived. server very nice. for the money portions didn’t seem worth it
This place was very slow. Upon arrival, it seemed like a ghost town. Seemed like the server was more interested in looking at her phone, and talking with the bartender, than interacting with us.
Terrible service and small portions
After making a reservation to celebrate a birthday and arriving at The Melting Pot we were escorted to a table in the large dining room , not a curtained booth, needless to say we were extremely disappointed. Disappointed enough we were ready to leave until our waitress arrived that is. When we told her we were not going to stay because the young man who seated us just did not care about our dissatisfaction with our seats she jumped right into action. She spoke with her manager and brought us to a curtained booth. From there on we had a marvelous experience. We love the Melting Pot and are very disappointed they are closing the Scottsdale restaurant.
Love my server! She was super nice and fun. The only suggestion I would have for the romance package is to do the photo differently. Either a camera or a different location due to the lighting.
My review is complicated. My party of 4 had great fun and I am very sorry Melting Pot in Scottsdale is closing. It is kitschy and a delightful throwback. It is not the kind of place you go often. The real question is value. It is awfully pricey for what you get.
It was a great relaxing evening with great food and friendly service
What a fun place! We had the 4 course and the cheese was perfect. Presentation was great. The server had us laughing all night.
Outstanding food, drinks and service.
Went for my anniversary. Service felt very rushed. I was feeling like the server wanted to go home and rushed us through our dining experience. Food was good and we have had much better service previously and that is why we chose the Melting Pot for our anniversary. Very disappointing experience. They did not even comment nor ask if we where there on a special occasion ever though I select the occasion box when making the reservation. Would not recommend the Melting Pit for special occasions.
Our experience was not the best!
Had to ask Host for second drink.
Food portion was small this time and we couldn’t tell our server to bring another melted pot because I’m allergic to shell fish she didn’t stop by so my husband had to wait until I cooked mine before he cooked his. I had to turn up the temp to heat up wine sauce for cooking.
Didn’t receive an itemized bill just about to pay which I did but think it was wrong after coming home!
Ordered Strawberries day before they were given away by another server had to wait for them to remake them!
Poor customer service and quality this time!
Overpriced for what you get. The "entree" wasn't worth the price. The cheese fondue itself was good, but the items given to dip were lack luster and scarce. The only redeeming thing was the desert. I might go back for the desert only.
Price was a little high, fondue for two at over $100.00.
The Melting Pot is always fun. We are sad to hear this location is closing 09/30/2109. Bummer. Hopefully another location will open in central Phoenix.
I was very excited to go to the Melting Pot but completely disappointed. For the price of $68.00 plus tip, I got a small plate of veggies and meat to share with my guest. The cheese was sour and bland and did not go well with the dippers. The meat was extremely fatty and most parts were too difficult to eat. I am very disappointed with the quality of the food provided, especially given that it was such an incredibly expensive meal. The table was also dirty and not thoroughly wiped down.
It was a really cool place to go for our anniversary! It was filling but not worth the $60 a person you pay. I would go back again but only for another special occasion. The experience was fun and unique!
Service was slow. I put in the comments when I made the reservation it was my daughters birthday and they staff didn’t seem to be aware. We had a group of 3 people and it took over an hour to get our food service.
Food was amazing
Food was good; server Nicki was very nice, but the table wasn't cleared on a timely basis, we had to request water to be refilled, there seemed to be long pauses between courses; restaurant looks a bit worn.
The ambience and experience was great, but the price was outrageous for how much food you actually eat. We had a $75.00 gift card and still paid over $50 for just the two of us to eat, and not eat that much.
Not sure if we had a bad day with our server. She seemed to have an issue with us. We were the only people in the restaurant. We had our daughter with us. Our daughter contaminated her eating plate with raw food. Waitress didn’t return for over 20 minutes so we could request new plate. Our drinks were also very slow to be refilled. At desert time, we didn’t have any forks to eat with. Just the fondu forks. She didn’t return for another 10 minutes so we could let her know.
One point of concern. She seemed to be in a big hurry all the time. When she left after main course was done and removed the boiling liquid, she didn’t seal the container. Just left with the open pot. Not very safe.
We had a terrific server however was given miscommunication on the pricing. When we got our bill and it was for $150 we couldn't believe it. We asked our server before ordering if the 4 course entree was shared for my guest and I and our server said yes. So when we were charged individually each for a 4 course entree we were in shock and did express that to our server whom did apologize for the miscommunication however did not take anything off our bill for the error. My guest and I agreed one visit and done here.
Our waitress coryn#51 was very polite and funny.
She did her very best to serve us even though the entree took a very long time to be served.
Restaurant was nice nice enough to deduct the price of the entree to compensate for the entree arriving late.
Overall, a good experience.
Hope we get coryn #51 again as a server.
It would've been nice if the restaurant had wait staff working on a friday night, they did not which resulted in longer wait times because our server had more duties. Quite odd actually.
