The Melting Pot - San Antonio Ratings and Reviews
The layout of this Melting Pot is not like others I have been to. The booths are set up more like a traditional restaurant. It doesn't have the cozy booths that give you privacy like other Melting Pots I have been to. It also was very loud compared to other ones I have been too.
The service however was probably the best I have ever had at a Melting Pot. I would definitely recommend it for girl's night out and a family get together but discourage it for date night and anniversaries.
Worst place ever!!!!!!! Please don’t go a spend a dime here !!!! Super expensive for what you get. Taste terrible. The prices are super complicated to understand and you have to end up paying. For full price. You are better off in a Steakhouse than here. Please don come here to Boil your meet!!!!!!😡😡😡
terrible food that is VERY expensive. The bar drinks were severely watered down that even getting a "double" cocktail you could barely detect any alcohol in it.
I only went because it is my friends favorite (mostly just for the white chocolate fondue for desert) and it was her birthday. It is my third time at a MP and I avoid this restaurant like the plague!
The Melting Pot has never failed to impress! We tried the Taste of San Antonio and we’re allowed to make a few substitutions to the fantastic deal based on the table’s tastes. The charcuterie board was fantastic and was a fun addition to the cheese fondue. Highly recommend the Quattro formaggio as it tastes like a high-quality pizza. They added candles to the desert for my sisters birthday and ended our evening on a fantastic note. We cannot wait until our next visit!
The Melting Pot has been a favorite of mine for almost 18 years! Our visit to this particular Melting Pot was absolute top notch. Our server Matthew was ridiculously knowledgeable and so friendly. He truly presented a very professional attitude and was key to making our experience amazing!
The meal was good and our waiter just okay. I didnt care for the salad and I made a definite mistake paying for wine samples with each course. I should have stuck with my personal favorites as I didn't care for the set choices. There were 3 of us and the bill over $300: not worth the money.
We had family in for Christmas and as a treat took them to the Melting Pot. As usual the service was great, the food was excellent but the cocktails were terrible. We personally do not feel that the prices at the Melting Pot are cheap so all aspects of the experience should be great. We ordered the Berry Mojito. These were terrible. Full of mint leafs, lots of ice and club soda which was the only flavor detected. For the price I guess we will stick to tea or water from now on.
We chose to have Christmas Eve dinner at The Melting Pot. Unfortunately service was below expectations. We selected the 4 course dinner, which did not flow well due to huge wait in between courses. Our server did not even introduce himself, he was unhappy, and we felt like we were robbed from the overall Melting Pot experience. The food tasted good, however that alone is not worthy of a $135 bill and 3 hours at a restaurant. My conclusion: The Melting Pot is overrated.
My only complaint was the table was too small for 6 people. We had six adults and we were elbowing each other the entire evening. And there wasn’t enough room on the table to the food and drinks. I have been to the Melting Pot in Dallas....it was much roomier there!
We went for my Birthday and the staff made me feel so special with a handwritten and signed birthday card, very thoughtful and unexpected! Our waiter was phenomenal, by being very patient with us and answering all of our questions with great knowledge. It was a little pricey but all in all well worth it. You get what you pay for and we will for sure be back!! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
The best of San Antonio offer the meats didn’t have taste to it, I ordered another site of meats to make up for the lack of seasoning and they didn’t have what I wanted and also the chicken breasts didn’t have any seasoning on them. There was a table beside us that were screaming and being to loud for this kind of dining experience. I wouldn’t visit again since it was overpriced for the dining experience and our server was very much absent
We usually like the Melting Pot, but this time there was no sauce for seafood. They did away with their cocktail sauce a while ago and now you have to special request it when you make reservations and the lemon sauce they came out with they also did away with. So I will no longer be able to eat seafood there :( Also, this time there was a couple of crying kids the entire time we were there. With the amount of time you typically are there I do not feel that this is a child friendly place and anyone who does bring them ruins the atmosphere for everyone else that is there.
