The Melting Pot - San Antonio
Place was dark and outdated the waiter presented himself no more three times throughout the dinner
Thank you for not closing due to the virus. Taking common sense precautions, we can still go out and enjoy a wonderful meal and experience. Look forward to our next visit.
This was our anniversary dinner and it was perfect.
Started with a great drink at the bar and then had a tremendous dining experience. Our server Ally was amazing.
It was lovely and the service was great!
We had a great time. Food was very good, as was the service and the setting. The only suggestion would be to have vents to guide the steam up and away from the table. We did have some moments where the steam was difficult to redirect and kept going into our faces.
Colby the Waiter explain the whole process to our family. We had a great time will come back again
Very good staff, experience was good and directions and walk through was well explained, overall amazing experience I am very pleased
Great service and food!!! Definitely going back for another date night!
We traveled to San Antonio so wanted to visit
The food was outstanding however the waitress said she had a cut on her hand and was serving us food without a bandaid
Outstanding. I would be highly likely to recommend this restaurant to a friend and I already have to another person who loves to check out new restaurants.
It was delicious.
Our dining experience was 3 hours long and we were the last guest in the restaurant not because of our doing. We waited approximately 40 min between courses when we were ready for the next in 20 min. The staff appeared annoyed that we were finished when they hadn’t even brought our dessert at closing time. I won’t be back to this location. I’ll drive to Austin first.
First time at a Melting Pot. Fantastic dining experience. Will definitely be back!
Birthday for my wife was great!!
Restaurant week visit was our first. Very enjoyable. Our server, Tory, was a gem. She introduced each course and gave great suggestion. Regular menu is a bit pricy for us but it was a fun experience. Hopefully we will be able to do it again.
Restaurant Week-We had not been to the Melting Pot in years. We found it to be welcoming, excellent fondue, great waiter, and really had a fabulous evening! Thank you!!!!
It’s a special fun place to go. You can g just for dessert, if you want.
wrote my girlfriend and i a heartfelt note congratulating us on our one year anniversary. Highly recommend
Visited the melting pot during restaurant week. This was our first time, and we enjoyed the experience. I was surprised when a plate with bread, green apples, celery and carrots was brought to dip in the cheese. My favorite dipping option was surprisingly the green apples! We had a few of thier cocktails they were okay but not the best I've had (old fashion, mojito, and mule). I will definitely go back to celebrate a special event 🎉😊.
Great atmosphere, excellent service and food. Just wish they were a bit more reasonably priced.
My wife and I went to the Melting Pot for Restaraunt week with a $35 pp Prixe Fixe Menu; the first time we'd been out to dinner with no kids in several months. We arrived for our reservation and were promptly seated. Looking at the menu, which was good, I had to ask for the Restaraunt Week menu, which was an exceptional price for what we got: cheese fondue appetizer, salad, main fondue (shrimp, garlic chicken, and filet beef), and chocolate fondue dessert. We had cocktails that were excellent, if a little bit pricey, and a glass of wine each. At this price, we had a great dinner for an excellent value. My only complaint about the experience was their house music really didn't fit the dinner. It sounds picky, I know, but it was the 1980's playlist (which we totally appreciate, but not so much for this as an occasion/special dinner). It literally was on 80's hit after another including "I Think We're Alone Now" by Debbie Gibson (random, right?). Another couple situated in a booth around the corner may have been so annoyed by this that they decided to play their own music ("Careless Whisper" by George Michael) on cel phone speaker loud enough to compete. After two more cel phone songs, I finally discretely asked the manager to akk them to stop, as the competing songs were just too much. They took care of the issue promptly, and sorry, not sorry if that makes me an early crumudgeon! I think the staff should have handled this long before I had to ask. That said, it was an excellent meal, that due to the nature of cooking your own individual bites forces you (in a good way) to enjoy the company you have. I'll go again, just not too soon.
We went to The Melting Pot with a friend from out of town and we had their Restaurant Week menu. This was our friend’s first time at The Melting Pot. We enjoyed every bit of our dinner beginning with the cheese fondue which was creamy with Brie and a blend of cheeses to which chopped pears were added. It was followed by a light Strawberry Caprese Salad. We chose the Coq Au Vin cooking style for our beef tenderloin, shrimp, chicken and vegetables. This cooking style was perfect and tasty. What a treat it was to end with a dark chocolate rocky road fondue and to have fruits, blondies, pound cakes, brownies and marshmallow treats to dip into this decadent chocolate fondue. We had a great time and a great meal.
Excellent food. Fabulous service.
This was a birthday dinner for my girlfriend, and we had a secluded table in the back. Everything was fantastic! Special requests were honored, and the food portions of the dippers and main courses were PLENTY for the two of us!
Great environment, food and service
Way too much time in between courses. The server did not explain that the vegetables were unlimited so we never asked for more and hardly had any for our family to fill ourselves. The new grill option is much better than the pot for cooking the meat.
My husband and I love to go to the Melting Pot whenever we get a chance; it’s our favorite date night spot.
Anyone dining at The Melting Pot should have some idea of the process before deciding to make a reservation. The whole experience will take well over two hours. There was a significant and unnecessary delay between each "course". Perhaps at the beginning of the meal, the staff should discuss how quickly to move to the next course with the diners. It was a unique experience which could have resulted in a higher score if the evening was moved along quicker.
Love the food. We eat there ever year for anniversary and birthday. Staff is always friends. However, our wait service was severely lacking. Not sure if it was a lack of training or just oversight (multiple times). We have gluten allergies and every course of our meal had to be returned. It took us almost 3 hrs to finish our meal.
Alexa Is the best server ever
Went for my husbands birthday. It was delicious as always.
The only thing was they sat a family with a young toddler next to us who was throwing thing and screaming the entire time. Our romantic dinner turned into a headache.
Obviously, not the restaurant’s fault. Just wish they would seat people a little different.
Colby was a great server.
Muy caro y exceso dw comida para una persona hay que pedir para compartir si no es demasiada comida y la calidad puede mejorar especialmente el fondiue de queso
