Seems like the portions of cheese and chocolate are getting smaller which is disappointing (we have more and more left over dipping pieces) but it’s still good!

Excellent food. Only complaint is that the waiter brought the check before even asking if we needed anything else. Other than that, service was great.

Second time visiting and I loved it! The chocolate fondue is my favorite part! It’s definitely a must visit if you’re in San Antonio! Glad I was able to take my girls to experience it this spring break! We will be back!!

Would only recommend for the cheese & dessert fondue. Would not recommend the grilled entrees as you have to cook them yourself. I believe that if someone is going to pay for food that it should be prepared for you. Otherwise they should just stay home and have a home cooked meal instead.

This is definitely an experience that everyone should have at least once. Waitstaff was excellent. Ambience was very romantic. Dinner was 2.5 hours, not because service was slow, but because it just takes that long. Great way to connect with people. It was fun. However, some may argue that it is not something that you need to experience that frequently, and I kind of agree. Food was unique but ok. I felt the cheese fondue tasted too strong. It is also difficult to put enough sauce on the food after it has been cooking in a water-based fondue like coq au vin so sometimes it can be bland. Overall great experience.

We have been to the Melting Pot so many times & enjoy it! Sadly, this last visit wasn’t as enjoyable because there was a family with young children that were quite loud & unruly. It was hard to enjoy our dinner.

I would recommend it for a fun, novel dining experience but not for fine dining. We were there for three hours and had loads of fun tasting so many foods but we weren’t that good at judging when our foods were foods were under-cooked or over-cooked. Hence we were often eating very rare or burnt bites. Of course that’s not anyone’s fault but our own. I think we would all be better at it on a second visit.

I've been going to Melting Pots since 1996. As I have come to expect, the one in San Antonio never fails to impress. I always enjoy the whole experience.

The service was great but the food was okay. Not what we had expected. We got the 4 course meal. Our fondue appertizer was bacon and Brie and the wine in the fondue was way too strong. We couldn’t even taste the cheese.

We would recommend putting a fan in the corner booth we were in because the steam was boiling up into my wife’s face.

Terrific server who anticipated our every need was very friendly but knew exactly when we should be left alone. Every course was excellent. The sauces were very tasty, The wine was excellent, great taste and very smooth. This was our anniversary since our first date (blind date) on 2/17/1973

What a meal! One we will always talk about.

I have celiac disease and the fact that melting pot offers gluten free bread is the part I look forward to the most. Cheese and bread. I don’t care much for the veggies . I don’t understand the cherry tomatoes with fondue. But that’s besides the point. First we were seating in a tiny booth in a bad spot facing a dirty wall. Our waiter took a long time to get to us ( i think he forgot about us do to un usual table setting). Made me feel claustrophobic, it was hot air flowing no good ventilation at all which is needed in a fondue restaurant, mind you I have been to other locations where we live in Austin TX, so this was the worse I have ever been to. Table was dirty, drinks took very long time to get to us, then the cheese , the tray: 3 carrots mostly celery and apples, tomatoes and of course THE gluten free bread. The bread was cut into pieces maybe 5-6 and it was hard a rock . I was in disbelief, this is what I to eat ? I tried to see if the cheese would soften it , nope, it was beyond fixing. So by the time OUR young waiter returned to our table I politely said to him I just couldn’t eat this bread and explain to him the reason. Not one to complain but this was my meal and an expensive one to be . Bad start already . So he said he would bring more I made sure to ask for a DIFFERENT BATCH. By the time he returned my cheese was thick and not much left because my starving boyfriend was eating some of the many sliced apples , mind you he was being patient . Now the bread , SAME BATCH in a little bowl this time and warm . But chewy so I think anyone reading this will automatically know where I’m going with this or where they went with it . The simply tried heating it up. I couldn’t. I was so irritated by then because I was really looking forward to this meal . Just a joke all around. Got up to the front where management was hanging with the hostess told him I couldn’t finish here just to charge me for my drinks and cheese.

We arrived on-time for our reservation, however there was no table prepared for us. Once we were seated after waiting 15 minutes in the lobby, we did not see a waiter for another 15 minutes. Total we were in the restaurant for 45 minutes before we were served any kind of food. The manager was hanging around the front counter talking with the wait staff. The waiter for our table was rarely available when we needed him. This restaurant has alot of charm, however the service is terrible and the food is very overpriced for the value.

The service was terrible. We sat there after she took our drink order for awhile with nothing to drink. Took a long time to get our cheese fondue brought out. Ordered a mojito and it was flight. The bartender tried to fix it by just adding a squirt of carbonated water... not realizing we could see her from our table. The food was delicious as always and the server was nice, but overall this was the worst Melting Pot Location I’ve ever been to.

The food is plain at best. You cook it yourself so think gimmicky like Magic Time Machine it Benihana. The cheese fondue had a lot of ingredients but no real flavor or wow factor. The salads may have well come pre bagged from Walmart. The enteees were simple cuts of meat or fish you cook yourself in a single method so it’s not always the best method for each you choose. Plus it’s up to you to focus on making sure it’s not over or under cooked so you can’t enjoy the company. The sauces tasted like cheap grocery store options. Nothing fantastic or original about the flavor of anything. We were there so long (because that’s their process) that we skipped dessert. It would be cute to take a young child (age 6-10) but at an average of $50 a person and the low quality of food it’s probably not worth that either

I would probably recommend The Melting Pot although I probably won't go back there. That's because they have now started to serve food, "grilled" but they have made no accommodations for the smoke that comes off of the grilling of the food. The smoke just hangs in the air. No fans in the ceiling, no where for the smoke to go and after awhile it gets to you.

We had never been to this restaurant before, but were intrigued by the concept. What a fun dinner! I can't recall when I have had such an engaging menu....since having a picnic in the park! There was more food than at first impression, and the courses helped the meal progress at a leisurely pace. Our server, Ashley, was knowledgeable and friendly. Very good. Very fun!

My best friend and I have wanted to try The Melting Pot for a while and decided to finally take advantage, especially since it’s restaurant week!

We enjoyed every course! The value was great and the service was extraordinary (Thanks, Alexa)! The cheese and chocolate fondues were so delicious, and the treats provided for dipping were perfect. We chose the cast-iron grilling option for our proteins and the seasonings were more than flavorful.

We can’t wait to visit again soon!

Absolutely enjoy my experiences at the Melting Pot! Can't really have a dull moment when you're the cook. Zach was great and attentive. We celebrated my birthday with my girlfriend and choose the Endless menu option because why not? If you're a slow eater or just like to talk definitely give your self at least 2 hours to have the 4 course meal.
