Went here for boyfriend and I's anniversary and Valentine's day. It was both of our first times, and we loved it! Everything was very good and thought making your own entree was awesome! Can't wait to go back!

Our server was very attentive and knowledgable. The timing between courses was perfect. His recommendations were excellent. We enjoyed each course more than the last. Definitely our go-to special occasion place!

Such a lovely experience. Received a gift certificate to visit, but will return on our own, fir special occasions.
The waiter was so helpful With our choices, and the manager went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable.

My girlfriend and I wen to the Melting Pot on the Loop in STL for her birthday and we had a great time. It was an awesome experience with great service and the waitress even applied a military discount for us. Also gave us some extra dippers for the chocolate and free champagne for the birthday. they also were really nice about us being the last ones in the restaurant at midnight. very good place and atmosphere and will definitely be going back for special occasions

I’m not a fan of cooking your own food at a restaurant. I did not know that until my waiter told me. It’s not the restaurants fault I should of done better research. The experience was great all in all. Would I do it again...No

Exellent service and a unique experience. Cooking your own food that is prepared very well is a good time. Three courses starting with a cheese fondue, main course cooking broth, and a chocolate hot dessert was plenty of food. An overall fun time. Highly recommend !

I went to The Melting Pot to celebrate my 31st birthday. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the shrimp. The only minor flaw was that there was a bit of a wait between the cheese and the entree fondues (30+ minutes); the server said that they had to power-thaw husband's dinner choice the (steak lover's entree). However, the staff went out of their way to wish me happy birthday and gave me an extra dessert.

On a first date and she had never been there. Was a great experience as the waitress was new but we weren't able to tell until she told us. The dinner was great and it set a great atmosphere for the success of the date.

First visit. Very enjoyable. Not sure it’s worth the cost for what it is. Some bite sized meat and a handful of bread and veggies but it is fun for a special evening out.

Our experience with food was great but waitress didn’t really helped us with the kids menu. We told one kid entree and told her to make it combo. When we received the bill it was one kid entree and she had two kids combo. Kids ages were 6 and 3year old. We told her we needed help with kids menu.

Beyond disappointed!!! As it was my idea for my friend and her daughter to meet my son and I here. It was all of our first times eating here also.we told the hostess ,the young lady who brought us drinks ,and the I assume to be the manger on duty and yes of course the server her self.. who is Vivian, and whom gave the worst service I ever experienced .. we waited over 30 minutes to order due to in her words a order she needed to take care of that was running behind .we then waited over an hour to even get our first course and my friend had to go grab her drink she had ordered from the bar herself that was completely watered down from sitting there for who knows how long , we received refills twice on our children's drinks ,had to ask to get plates and glasses removed, and to top if off she never came back for payment so we left the bill with the bartender and as we are walking out she is standing at the hostess stand socializing..just and all around horrible experience and to spend 3 hours and cost between the 4 of us well over 200$ I'm discouraged on if I will return .. if i did it would be for the chocolate fondue.. that was delicious

Terrible terrible service. Made comment about it when asked, by/to the owner, but nothing changed.

Further, a drunk patron at another table was loud & obnoxious, yet none of the staff asked him to tone it down.

We eat at MP frequently and this was the absolute worst experience. When you pay that kind of money for a meal, you expect better service & ambience.

Ps - despite describing in my open table rsvp that it was my wife’s birthday, the waitress still asked if we were celebrating anything special?!?!

Upon arrival we were greeted by a beautiful and pleasant woman. The restaurant was unusually cold. Once seated we couldn’t help but notice that the area was extremely drafty. This compromised our comfort level even further. Our waiter graciously allowed us to move to a different location.

We have had our food prepared better during previous experiences. Thank goodness the manager, David, came by our table to check on us. Our main course “rescue” spoon was covered in food and debris. David agreed that the spoon was visibly dirty and secured a clean spoon for us.

We have celebrated many special occasions at this Melting Pot location. This was the first time that we were very disappointed. The service was very poor.

During our cheese course the tray with all of the ingredients sat at our table untended for at least 5 minutes while our server was no where to be found. Since the liquid in the double boiler was on for so long before the fondue was made, it was completely evaporated before we finished the course and was actually smoking (very unpleasant) instead of steaming.

At our main course, again, the tray of raw food was delivered but we didn't have our cooking pot for another 5 minutes, at least. Our server brought white zinfandel when I ordered a second glass of the wine I'd brought from the bar - it was clearly a red wine. When the manager checked in with us I told him we were having service issues. He cleared our table but was obviously frustrated to be doing it. He did not apologize for the situation or make any offer to rectify the situation.

Finally, my husband said he did not want chocolate fondue & should only have been charged for a 3 course meal but was charged for 4 courses. We didn't ask to have the bill revised because we knew it would prolong an already bad experience. I think our server may have served a quantity for 4 people but my husband had clearly said he didn't want it and we indicated that the other 3 of us didn't want the extra serving.

Our server was very pleasant and she was attentive to the gluten free needs of one in our party, but the service was horrible. The Melting Pot was our 17 & 21 year old daughters' first choice of places to celebrate their great first semester grades. It has been their go to celebration spot for years. After this visit, we're not sure we'll go back.
