The Melting Pot - Roswell Ratings and Reviews
My family and I had a great time. We were celebrating my wife's 40th bday. Our server Ana was awesome and very pleasant. My kids were impressed, and my 15 year old daughter now wants to work at Melting Pot and become a server. Thanks for a fun evening.
Overall we had a great experience. Our server was a little inexperienced, but he provided great service and had a great personality. The manager stopped by several times to check on us. The food was very good. We did the big night out 4-course meal. Only downside is the smell of oil all over when you leave. We would definitely come back again.
Horrible horrible place. Went for vday and the menu was changed. The prices on the new menu required a liver and limb to even be able to afford it. Decided to leave so they told us they would charge us $70 PER person for canceling the reservation. What?!?! Absolutely ridiculous. We said we won’t pay and they said they would still charge it on the card. Never going back again.
Great food great service great experience. We had a quiet table and we were able to chat and visit and slowly enjoy our meal. There were options available for healthy eaters which is sometimes hard to come by.. we were able to easily make a reservation online and we were seated immediately. Our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Great date night!
Experience was just ok this time. I appreciate the novelty of the concept. Cheese and dessert courses are great. Entrees were overspiced. Service was very slow. Took about 2.5 hours for the full meal and we took half the dessert home in order to wrap it up.
This was a special occasion visit. The restaurant did a great job of accommodating my request. It was my daughter's 16th birthday and she want to dine with her friend at a separate table. The MP couldn't guarantee it, but they came through with two separate tables.
Service was excellent. The server didn't hover, but she was always around if we needed her.
Food was great, as always.
This is a great place for celebrations or just want to do something different for dinner.
Eating at the Melting Pot is always a fun experience especially with a group. Food is fresh and tasty with lots of choices. It is quite pricey however and don't go if you are in anything close to a hurry. Over 2 hours for us with a lot of down time between courses. Still... we enjoyed ourselves.
I ordered strawberries for my fondue anniversary but I forgot to ask for them and my server did not bring them to the table :(. This is the second time that I have been to a Melting Pot and they have not given me something that I ordered. The last time I went to the Melting Pot in Viera, Fl.
It was busy and chaotic, the bar and dining area was dirty with glasses. Felt very rushed to get thru the dinner so that they could close for New Years. Our reservation was at 8:45, they sat us at 9:30. The instruction about the cooking was fast and they seemed a little irritated. The bill had a tip already added on and we didn't realize it, our fault, but still we overpaid and over tipped for the dining experience. Had to get our dessert to go at 11:30
I have had fondue many times before and this was by far my worst experience. We had two New Year's $65 course (there were two courses to choose from) The food was extremely salty. I suppose the chef can't taste the food since it is uncooked. The seating we had was for two people and it was "cozy" but the pot was at the far edge of the table and difficult to reach due to how the table is configured. The service was appropriate.
What a wonderful place for Christmas Eve dinner and/or birthday celebration...we had both. My daughter is in wheelchair and the manager called that morning to insure planned seating area was appropriate. She also checked on accommodations and service several times during the meal. Food and service were great as always. Thanks...Bill A
Great service and caring personnel - food and wine were very good.
We would never recommend it, as the ambiance is absolutely minimal - the franchise has a poor sense for interior decor, no paintings, no candles, no flowers, lighting as at the dentist office. There is nothing romantic or welcoming in this franchise - they should take a trip to Switzerland and learn. A real pity, given the overall good quality of service and food !
Great food, fun place to eat, different than your usual meal.
They have to fix the atmosphere, they went from a place where each couple felt like they were in a quiet private booth with low lighting to a feeling of a room with a lot of booths and too much lighting. They have really affected the experience.
This place has taken a huge step backwards. It used to have very dim lighting that created each little booth into its own private sitting area. The low lights encouraged low voice conversations and it had a high-end feel to it. Now it is bright like a McDonalds. It changed the entire feel of the meal and ambiance. The menus used to be nice menus now they resemble something just nicer than a waffle house.
The food was good, service was good, and we enjoyed ourselves, but it didn't have the high end feel it used to have. For $100+ a couple, I think this is a major mistake and step backwards.
I would recommend the restaurant re-evaluate their changes. My wife and I have been going here for almost 15 years and this was the first time we left feeling disappointed.
