The Melting Pot - Roswell Ratings and Reviews
Eating at the Melting Pot is always a fun experience especially with a group. Food is fresh and tasty with lots of choices. It is quite pricey however and don't go if you are in anything close to a hurry. Over 2 hours for us with a lot of down time between courses. Still... we enjoyed ourselves.
It was busy and chaotic, the bar and dining area was dirty with glasses. Felt very rushed to get thru the dinner so that they could close for New Years. Our reservation was at 8:45, they sat us at 9:30. The instruction about the cooking was fast and they seemed a little irritated. The bill had a tip already added on and we didn't realize it, our fault, but still we overpaid and over tipped for the dining experience. Had to get our dessert to go at 11:30
I ordered strawberries for my fondue anniversary but I forgot to ask for them and my server did not bring them to the table :(. This is the second time that I have been to a Melting Pot and they have not given me something that I ordered. The last time I went to the Melting Pot in Viera, Fl.
I have had fondue many times before and this was by far my worst experience. We had two New Year's $65 course (there were two courses to choose from) The food was extremely salty. I suppose the chef can't taste the food since it is uncooked. The seating we had was for two people and it was "cozy" but the pot was at the far edge of the table and difficult to reach due to how the table is configured. The service was appropriate.
What a wonderful place for Christmas Eve dinner and/or birthday celebration...we had both. My daughter is in wheelchair and the manager called that morning to insure planned seating area was appropriate. She also checked on accommodations and service several times during the meal. Food and service were great as always. Thanks...Bill A
Great service and caring personnel - food and wine were very good.
We would never recommend it, as the ambiance is absolutely minimal - the franchise has a poor sense for interior decor, no paintings, no candles, no flowers, lighting as at the dentist office. There is nothing romantic or welcoming in this franchise - they should take a trip to Switzerland and learn. A real pity, given the overall good quality of service and food !
Great food, fun place to eat, different than your usual meal.
They have to fix the atmosphere, they went from a place where each couple felt like they were in a quiet private booth with low lighting to a feeling of a room with a lot of booths and too much lighting. They have really affected the experience.
This place has taken a huge step backwards. It used to have very dim lighting that created each little booth into its own private sitting area. The low lights encouraged low voice conversations and it had a high-end feel to it. Now it is bright like a McDonalds. It changed the entire feel of the meal and ambiance. The menus used to be nice menus now they resemble something just nicer than a waffle house.
The food was good, service was good, and we enjoyed ourselves, but it didn't have the high end feel it used to have. For $100+ a couple, I think this is a major mistake and step backwards.
I would recommend the restaurant re-evaluate their changes. My wife and I have been going here for almost 15 years and this was the first time we left feeling disappointed.
This was our first time at The Melting Pot and it exceeded our expectations. The wait staff was friendly, helpful & attentive without hovering. The seating was semi-private and quiet, allowing nice conversation. The food was delicious. The chocolate dessert was the BEST!!
We first met at a Melting Pot and we go back each year to commemorate that. Tonight was as good as it has ever been and Martin, our server, made everything perfect. Timing was good, his prep of the cheese was the best we've had from anyone, and he helped us make the best choices based on what we indicated we liked or remembered liking. Dinner here is always a 2-hour event but you don't notice the time because everything is spaced out to perfection. We'll certainly return and hopefully we'll remember Martin's name. He's the best server we've had at any Melting Pot we've been to!
Every time my wife and I visit this location we have a remarkable experience. The atmosphere is always comfortable, quiet, and cozy for the two of us. The perfect setting to have an intimate date night!! This time was no different and we had an unexpected bonus with our server, Dre. He was a very knowledgeable and funny young man that fit our personalities and made our time with you unforgettable. Thanks, for such a great experience!!!
Terrible service. Waiter told us he was just trying to make it through the day. Our cheese fondue was supposed to have garlic. He said the kitchen ran out of garlic. Then we saw two other tables get garlic - one even got extra garlic in their cheese! We had specifically gone for the kids eat free promotion. When we sat down we mentioned it. The waiter made it seem like he was doing us a favor since the "ticket" didn't say that already. I had made the reservation through open table. The promotion was clearly listed on the Melting Pot website and it did not specify that you had to make special reservations. Then we found out that since the kids shared our cheese and chocolate course they were charged for that. A total of $20!!!!! The decor if you can call it that is very dated. I haven't been to a Melting Pot for years and I will never go back.
I go to The Melting Pot Roswell frequently and have visited other The Melting Pots in other areas. I enjoy the food and the private ambiance. They have made some changes recently to the vegetarian selection, most of which are not for the best. The new tofu is a great change. The asparagus, artichoke, and mushroom pastas are all the same. The portobello mushrooms are gone, and the ravioli pasta is gone. These two selections have been replaced with a trio of vegetarian meatballs that they call "polpettes". It is not a winning choice, especially compared to the dishes they replaced with it.
This was our first time to The Melting Pot in Roswell but was a treat it was. It's not as chic & modern as the Midtown location but the older feel is still welcoming. Rayven was out server and what a pleasurable experience it was! We had the cheese fondue (spinach & artichoke) and then dessert with the dark chocolate and pecans. Everything was perfect!
The service was terrible. The staff seemed too concern about a large party coming in later and forgot about us. The food was not very good. The meat cuts were fatty and did not appear to be the best cuts of meat. The cheese batter ran out before the vegetables were finished and no additional cheese was added. The experience was nothing close to the old Dante's Down the Hatch in Buckhead.
