The Melting Pot - Rochester
Absolutely love this place! It’s a little pricey but absolutely perfect for a special occasion
Wife and I celebrated our 32nd anniversary here. Our server was fabulous, on our dessert tray she wrote Happy 32nd Anniversary. Made it special, manager came over introduced himself, everyone was great. Highly recommend The Melting Pot. Food was outstanding.
Food was excellent, manager came by to check in which truly makes a huge difference. Waiter was a little forgetful but still a nice guy.
My wife and I made a reservation from an advertisement we seen on Facebook for a Christmas in July special when we arrived they got us right in our server Dino was absolutely amazing we never felt like we were waiting for anything on two different occasions the manager Kevin I believe his name was stopped by to check on us he asked if we are out for a special occasion explain to that it was just a date night since my mother had our son and then Dino brought us over complimentary glass of champagne which was the icing on the cake I highly recommend this restaurant and to ask for Dino as your server what an amazing experience that will definitely be our Top Choice for date night in the future
Another awesome time at the Melting Pot. We had the Christmas in July special. Great service and food. I am French and really enjoy how MP has improved a great dish.
Came here with our mom and a friend to catch up. Its one of our favorite spots to come on a special occasion or with friends we haven’t seen in a while. The pacing of the meal is always great and we’ve yet to have a bad experience with the servers or staff.
Great place. Great food. Our waiter was excellent!
My husband & I did the four course meal for our anniversary & the food was incredible! We tried the Monterey Alpine cheese fondue & it was delicious! We both really enjoyed a California salad. We like the ability to create our own entrees. We love the Mojo cooking style. I really enjoy the teriyaki sirloin, shrimp & orange duck breast. My husband tried the Cajun chicken & was very pleased with the flavor. We had the blackberry sage lemonade with our meal which is our favorite. And we tried the Dark berries & cream chocolate fondue which is our new favorite.
Ed was a good waiter but didn't check in on us as often as we would've wanted. We were often waiting for drinks to be refilled and when he did come with refills, didn't take the empty glasses or beer bottles back with him. The cost of food isn't cheap which is why we only attend for special occasions, maybe once a year. They did present both of my kids with a square of pound cake and a candle for their birthdays, that was a nice touch.
Great food - amazing service! Sarah was very attentive. Can't wait to go back!
My husband and I LOVE the melting pot. It’s a much. Ore relaxed dining experience, perfect for dates, special occasions or just slowing down and reconnecting after a hectic day. Unfortunately for us, Rochester is a long way to go to enjoy this great experience so which they hadn’t closed down in Syracuse.
We went to The Melting Pot to celebrate my daughter's graduation. The staff were friendly and informative. They answered all of our questions about the menu (it was our first time). There was a huge amount of food and we ended up taking about half of it home. Next time we will probably just get the dessert fondue. It was all very tasty but just too much.
Thanks for treating our daughter with such care! We will take her there the next time we are in Rochester
My son and I went for dinner as a just because night. We had a wonderful time. The food was good. The thing that made the night a success was our server. She was awesome!! Thanks for a great time.
We went there for our anniversary. Really great experience. Our waitress was fantastic and the table was very quiet and private. I think we will go again.
As long as you keep your expectations low, it’s fine. We have been going for birthdays for quite a few years now and I always make reservations and let them know we are celebrating. The first years we got cards and special dessert dipper plates for the birthday guest. My kids felt special and looked forward to it each year. Now they don’t pay any attention to why we are there and don’t do anything special. Worse, our server barely served us. She didn’t even attempt to stir one of our chocolates. She didn’t explain how to do the tempura properly, even after we asked. Overall it was a disappointing experience.
The waitress took 45 mins to bring our food that is raw, don’t know why it took so long. Asked for drink refills several times and still not got them. We spent 3 hours for dinner that should’ve been no more than 2 at the most. Desert took another half hour to come out and all portions were extremely small for how expensive it is. Won’t go back
Staff was very nice. It’s not just a restaurant. It’s a place for a nice dining experience. They did not rush you at all.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary with dinner. The service was first rate, attentive to our needs, but also giving us space to enjoy our evening. It was an intimate evening in the small booth. Highly recommended!
Absolutely amazing food, service, and experience!
Always enjoy coming back to Melting Pot. Food is always excellent and so are the drinks and staff.
Always a solid experience.
I brought my boyfriend who had never been before. I love the Melting Pot because it is fun and an experience. This is my 4th time visiting between the Syracuse and Rochester locations. I was disappointed that with the amount of empty seating, we were seated across from a family with three children. While they weren't terrible, they are still children being children. We had told the hostess that we were celebrating a birthday and it was just the two of us. I would have thought they would have seated us somewhere not near a family.
The food was good as it usually is. I found the temperature on the cheese to start a little on the cool side. I would have liked it a little warmer. The same goes for the chocolate at the end. It was a tad cooler than I would have liked for it to have been.
Overall, my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed the experience and that is all that matters. Will we visit again? I am very sure.
This is our first time at this location. Service was friendly and attentive. Due to the time of day there was some slight noise (family with young children) but overall it was pleasant. Food is always amazing so what really makes the experience is the personable services and attention to details. Shall definitely come back again.
We had an enjoyable time. A number of things on the menu, will try something different next time.
We had a wonderful time as always. It was my birthday and the staff is always so nice and accommodating. They always go out of their way to make our dinning experience something to remember. Whether it's decorating the plate with a message or adding a special item to the dessert tray. This time I mentioned I would really like something made with peanut butter for dipping and the did it and it was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. Rianna (spelling may be off) took care of us and did a wonderful job. We love the manager Jon! He ALWAYS comes out to say hi and to make sure everything is perfect and it always is. Thank you all for making my birthday special. See you in September!
Very pricey. Prices are not at all clear so be very careful. The prices that you see on the menu be sure to multiple by each serving. Example 1 pot for cheese for 2 people the price would be doubled. Same with fondue and any other choice.
The service at this location was consistently poor and made my guest and I very uncomfortable. The food was even worse. Not sure if it is just this location but I am assuming the food would not improve much elsewhere. Not impressed in the slightest and will not be returning.
Food was good. Cajun chicken took very long to cook because of the seasoning but tasted good. Waiter should’ve recommended the cheese fondue because we Were not familiar but was very good anyway. The teriyaki steak was probably the best steak I’ve ever had.
Overall great experience for a first time visit. I would return with hesitation. Good food and great service.
Love the Melting Pot for the experience, however it is way overpriced. Our family of four (not kids menu because they are teenagers) cost over $200 for the cheese fondue, pick 3 entree and the dessert fondue with no alcoholic drinks. And because it was a Saturday night they wouldn't take my $15 off coupon. Way too expensive when there is no chef and you do the cooking. We go there for special occasions and because our kids love it. We would go more often if was cheaper, what family can afford this.
Overall the food and service was really good! The wait staff was attentive and the ambiance is nice and quiet
Great food and deal as we took advantage of their $31 on the 31st
Easy paced, good food, very accommodating for my Gluten Free needs. Manager very helpful
The Melting Pot - Rochester was a fantastic place for my husband and I to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The staff were all kind, friendly, helpful, quick, and efficient. They made us feel so, so special. Quite possibly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had!
It was a wonderful way to spend our Anniversary, just wish it wasn't so expensive.
We drive special to this location since the one in Syracuse. We love the whole fondu experience and the staff in Rochester is fantastic. Can’t wit to go back, although a location closer to Ottawa would be appreciated!
Good food, you cant be in a hurry. 2.5 hours for dinner you cook yourself.
My girlfriend and I came for our anniversary and we loved every minute of being here.
Really enjoyed dining at the Melting Pot. It’s a different way to have dinner. It was Mother’s Day. My kids took me out. I had wonderful company, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and our server was great. What more could you ask for. I will definitely go back.
