Wonderful night out to celebrate our anniversary

This was my first time dining in. I loved it. It’s a little pricey but they give you a lot of food. I saw kiddos there with the family so I would say family friendly. All the staff wore a mask and were nice. I definitely plan to go back with my fiancé!

Interesting dining experience, the cheese fondue's were a bit disappointing. They do a great job keeping tables private. Over priced for just okay food...but it was a fun time with my family. Once is enough for us.

Relaxing, quiet, personal atmosphere. Enjoyed an early Sunday dinner.

Service was so slow, bread was stale. Steak didn't seem as high quality as in the past.

The pots were not hot Enough to cook the food and waitresses were nowhere around to help. We told them we only had two hours to eat and they said that would be fine and at the end of two hours. Have a chocolate fondue out. The restaurant was practically empty what I had to get up multiple times to find or something to tell her about a problem with a cooking pots. The problem was never resolved they just took one of the meals off the bill.
It was my daughter’s 18th birthday and I have been on many occasions and NEVER had an experience like this before.

The Melting Pot is a consistently excellent experience. Though it is a franchise, its service remains outstanding and creates a date night experience that is anything but generic.

We had a 8 pm reservation not knowing they closed at 9 pm and the waitress seemed like she was ready to go home. We ran out of waters a few times and needed more sauces and couldn't find her right away. This was our least favorite trip to melting pot for $190. :(

Celebrating my son’s birthday! Had an excellent time. My son’s college buddies had a great experience.

Everything was great. Except our server kept disappearing for large amounts of time. I ordered a wine flight and had to remind the server EVERY course. We don’t mind waiting, but our reservation was at 10 pm and we didn’t get to leave until midnight. We were both very hungry and have been here before. We knew what we wanted as soon as our server (Chaz) got to us we ordered everything. I have been a server before but it was like he forgot about us.

It was the Saturday of Valentine’s with a set menu. There were only 2 cheese and 2 chocolate choices. The food was good BUT not as good as usual. Also it was VERY loud and the waiter was over extended. I had the reservation and they called me to make sure I was going to show AND made me hold the place with a credit card. It was good but it was a bit of a hassle and I was disappointed. I won’t go back on Valentine’s again.

It was our first time. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. She help us with our selection. Beautiful experience.

Amazing date night experience!

Quiet, romantic atmosphere, food is of great quality, professional, personable staff.

The food and atmosphere was great. You definitely get a lot of food on the 4 course meal, I could barely eat all of it. Definitely have a wide range of variety which makes the price worth it. The only downfall I had was the server acted as if she didn’t want to be bothered with questions and made a rude comment at the end of my dining experience but the manager was nice and very apologetic for the way the server acted.

It was great! We put on our reservation that it was our anniversary and they had a card waiting for us! Great service and really good food!

We go to The Melting Pot at least four or more times a year and usually it is five stars every time. The food was great as usual but the pace of our meal was probably the worst we’ve ever had. We realize that it was a Saturday night in prime dining time around 7:30 PM and expected around two hours But it turned out to be closer to three hours by the time we paid the check.

Had not been here in years and was pleasantly surprised. Great food and service.

We went out for my boyfriends birthday and the dinner went beautifully. I appreciated the restaurants personalized card and small cake with a candle. We had to wait for a bit and the lobby was slightly crowded but once we were seated our service was impeccable and food delicious.

Chris was an awesome server! First time my fiancée had been there and he was patient and explained things well! My only concern was where we were seated the airflow was minimal so it was very hot and rather noisy, particularly when several servers were in same area at once. Doesn’t deter us one bit, as we booked our next trip while we were still at dinner! Thanks again Chris!!!

This was our second visit to The Melting Pot. I had bought a Living Social coupon and thought we'd give it a try. The first visit, our waiter was having a bad day and it took way too long for the service. We told the manager about the long wait times and she graciously offered her apologies and said our meal was on the house. Our coupon was about to expire so we went back a second time. This visit was much better than the first. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us regularly. The food was very good. Only mishap was when we got the check. Our coupon was supposed to cover the entire meal, but there was a glitch when it was applied to the check. We explained it to the manager and he quickly resolved the issue and all was good.

Loved it! We had a great time celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday. The food was wonderful!!!

Terrible service

Great service from Chris!

My wife and I were seated at a private table. We were very pleased with the food, as well as our service.

It was a great date night. We had a great server that gave us some good advice on some of the selections. We were surprised by the quantity of food we got with our Groupon. Don't pass up getting one banana foster for desert.

The service was unacceptable. The food was ok. The place was hot inside and not very clean. The restrooms were very dirty and my feet stuck to the floor. I have been to this location many times in the past and I was shocked about how horrible the experience was in comparison to the past. I shared my feedback with the manager and he really didn’t seem to care. I think he is way over his head. It’s a shame because this use to be a great experience.

Our waitress was amazing & delivered the most amazing experience ever in the history of Richmond dining. She should be recognized for this extravagant meal & her most amazing skills

We made a reservation for my birthday and the table wasn't ready so we had to wait for it. Then when we were seated no one came to greet us. Then we were told that we had to move to a different table. After they moved us we went greeted for at least 15 mins. Then when we ordered a bottle of wine the server replied to us with let me see if I can ask my manager if we have that wine. It's on the menu so I done know why they wouldn't have it. All of the requests were answered with let me see if I can find that for you. Rather then I'll have that right out for you. We had to ask for the table to be cleared of. The overall experience was fair. The manager didn't even apologize for the wait or having to change our tables after we had already been seated. Melting pot has really gone down hill since my last experience. And there was what appeared to be black mold all over the vet beside our table which was disgusting. It's probably all over the ceiling of the restaurant and that's why they have it painted black. What was supposed to be a special birthday night turned into a big disappoint. We definitely won't be back.

They remembered we were celebrating our daughter's bday and I also got my bday strawberries.
Service was excellent and food relish - did not disappoint.

I eat here around four times a year. Owner and managers are extremely genuine and nice. We had a new server this week and she was getting the hang of things. Unfortunately, she forgot to give us our to go salad. Oh well. No problem. I’ll always come back :)

Too busy a time of year . Not as thorough of service as usual although the waiter was doing his best .

We were sat by the kitchen door and it was broken and very loud. It was a little difficult to catch our waiter but it was very busy. Our reservation was easy and ready. Overall we enjoyed it and would go back.
