Sweet 16 Birthday
It's a restaurant for people who like fondue, the service was very good.
We go to several different Melting Pots during the year-at least 3 or 4 times a year for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Now we have a 1.5 year old in tow and she loves Melting Pot just as much as we do! The staff here was great about speeding up just enough at our request to keep everyone happy. Food was great and the server was very nice. If we’re in the area again, we will definitely be coming back.
Always a great time. Love getting the bigger night out, as it’s the perfect amount of food.
Our server, Latifa was spectacular.
I went for my birthday and I love the experience. Food was amazing and service was Impeccable!!
My daughter’s all-time favorite place to celebrate her birthday. Service is always AMAZING! The fondue is always perfect. The Melting Pot never, ever disappoints!!
It was fun and very good food. Doing the ala carte menu was easy for our party of four and sharing was good
I was yet again astounded by the service at the Melting Pot - Reston. Due to other plans for my birthday celebration falling though, I decided to make a reservation with The Melting Pot, as I previously went for a nice dinner with my girlfriend a couple months back, and was thoroughly impressed by the food, service, and experience. This time was no different, as I coincidentally had the same server the first time I went, named Cameron. Considering COVID regulations being different from the first time I went to recently, I was able to have a larger party. Despite the larger party size, fluctuation of people coming and going to wish me a happy birthday, and the many different guests within my group having many different questions about the menu, etc., Cameron was able to handle everything with grace and poise. He had an answer to every question, was attentive to our table, and never skipped a beat. He truly was a pleasure to be around, and I enjoyed both of my experiences at The Melting Pot because of his wonderful service and great sense of humor. Thank you Cameron and The Melting Pot - Reston for an extraordinary birthday! :)
Went for a quick dinner with my BFF. We both could not have asked for anything better. The food and the atmosphere was perfect. The server was humble and excellent.
Father’s Day was special because of the melting pot staff
Not a bad experience, service was very good,
The Melting Pot is a really fun place to go for a special occasion dinner. It's not cheap, but the food is good, and the concept is fun. We received excellent service.
We had a wonderful time celebrating end of school year for two kids who are moving on to new adventures. We were fortunate to get a two burner table and the kids had a great time choosing a variety of cheeses, cooking styles and of course, the chocolates. Cameron did an amazing job with the cheeses we chose. The kids could not decide which cheese was better. We’ve had our share of fondue at the Melting Pot but he prepared them better than we’ve ever tasted. He was attentive and fun. He recommended the bananas foster for dessert and it did not disappoint. My only regret is that we ignored the other chocolate we chose for dessert. It was a fantastic evening filled with laughter and delicious food. Best of all, the kids had an amazing experience and could not stop raving about it the day after.
Very enjoyable meal. Hailey was a very good server. Super flexible and accommodating.
We haven't been to the Melting Pot in quite a while due to the Pandemic. We were looking forward to a date night. Our reservation was at 8:15. One hour and forty five minutes before closing. This should be enough time, right? The evening started out fine. They've changed the menu a bit which was a bit confusing. Our server explained it to us and we ordered. After our drinks and salads arrived, the service dropped off quite a bit. We waited for over 30 minutes to get our drinks refreshed. We eventually got the drinks and cheese course. Our server was nowhere to be seen. After we got our main course, the server was once again MIA. She didn't check on us at all. We sat for a while before we were asked what we wanted for desert. By the time we got desert, the restaurant was nearly empty as it was about 9:50. The staff was cleaning and we were just getting desert. She put down the pot and set the flambé on fire and then walked away! We've been there over a dozen times and we always get the flaming turtle. I cannot recall another occasion when a server just leaves after lighting the fire. I put it out myself, we started eating and she was gone, again. We did manage to get her attention and asked for more dippers for the chocolate fondue. Eye rolls from the server-visibly annoyed that we were asking for anything. I asked for the bill, this was the only point in the meal when the server moved quickly. She brought the mobile credit card device to the table and stood over me as I filled out the tip. I was once a full time server. I know what it's like to make ends meet on tips. It took all I had to not give her what I believe she earned--which was next to nothing. I don't know what happened or what we did. But it was obvious that we were not welcome. I asked for to go boxes and they were quickly dropped of with a bit of an attitude. We got out of there and all we could talk about on the way home was the server. It might be a while before we have another date night there.
We love heading to Fondue on birthdays and other occasions - Melting Pot never disappoints! It's expensive, but the food is great and the service is always responsive.
Thought this would be a nice place for a date night and would be really romantic. It was pretty nice overall, the atmosphere was really nice, dark lighting with red lamps above tables, very quiet overall. Going into it I knew they did table side fondue and was excited for that. The fondue was delicious, cool to watch our server make it infront of us too. However, one thing I didn’t expect and didn’t really enjoy was cooking our own food. I had no idea it would be like that, I thought the fondue was the only table side thing cooked. You pick your entree and cook them in a broth at the table. You also had to refer to a chart to know how long to cook the food for. When I go out and pay $100 for dinner I do not want to cook my own food. I felt if I was going to cook my own food like that I could’ve just stayed at home. But then again I didn’t know this and had I known I most likely wouldn’t have gone. Giving this review for those interested in going and to help know what to expect. But overall with everything said and done, it was really good. The food tasted really good, and was nice to get out. The desert part was my favorite. We got the flaming turtle fondue and it was awesome!
Our service was incredible. Sam really made our night special with all her little touches and great conversation. The front entrance was a bit dirty and we waited at the host stand for awhile because no one was there.
I called last minute to have balloons put on our table for my daughters birthday and the gentleman who answered the phone was very accommodating- wonderful surprise for her! Waitress was wonderful! Overall great celebration dinner.
Very good service. The manger was very accomodating of our needs and our server Leah was great!
Service was a bit slow. It took 2 hours to finish our dinner, and the manager had to finish serving us for dessert. I hope our server was okay as we didn’t see her at the end.
Great place for special occasions.
Great place to celebrate Mother's Day! Excellent food and service!
The food and service was outstanding. However, the price was a bit overboard for the Mother's Day Menu. Also, our table of 8 felt extremely crowded, but there was no flexibility in seating, so we made due.
I made reservations for Mother’s Day lunch. After the reservation was confirmed I received two separate emails telling me that they needed people to try and finish their meal in an hour and a half, presumably because a lot of people were expected on the holiday. We were seated at 12:00, I paid the check at 3:00. The patrons cook the food themselves. Nobody in the kitchen is cooking any food. Why did it take three hours for us to have our meal brought out to us on a day we were specifically asked to try and finish in a timely manner. I’ve never taken three hours to eat lunch. The food was very good as always, but they need to pick up the pace.
Everything was great besides the fact that they did not facilitate my request for a flower to be placed upon the table that I was willing to pay extra to make happen
I love the process of a fondue house. Take your time. Enjoy the friends you’re with.
Loved our server Sarah! She was very good about bringing what we needed even gluten free dippers!
We always enjoy the food and experience at The Melting Pot. The employees are always top notch, very helpful and make for a great dining experience. I only wish it was just a little less expensive.
Great as always! We are repeat customers. Our waitress was very attentive and awesome!
13 year old birthday celebration of 6 people. Quieter than normal because of the restrictions on capacity, which was nice. A couple of us had a few grisly bites of steak on our plates, but otherwise the food was good and plentiful. Waiter was friendly and helpful.
Service was okay but as always the food and drinks were wonderful!
For our anniversary we did the Thursdate. The meal was awesome, the candlelight and rose petals added to the ambiance, and the fun of cooking together made for a great experience. Leah, our waitress, was great, keeping the evening moving without rushing us, engaging in enough conversation to make us comfortable without being a distraction to the meal or each other. Kudos to Leah for a great job! Well done, Melting Pot!
I love this place. Noise is minimal, service is excellent, food is great. Great place for a date, very intimate setting.
We always like the food. There is always sooo much to eat!
Service was not prompt. Every time we asked for something it took at least 15 minutes to get it. Asked for a specific wine and it took the waiter 15 minutes to tell us it wasn't available. The next wine took 15 minutes to arrive. Asked for more bread for the cheese fondue and it took 15 minutes to arrive. Asked for an additional amount of sauce for the meat and it took 15 minutes to arrive. Took the waiter a long time to bring the bill and then put it on the credit card as well. We understand that there was no rush because the tables were not turning over, but in the past it took 2 hours - this time 3 hours.
Easter dinner. Always great at The Melting Pot.
When we arrived the host went to seat us at are table we had to stop and then was sent back the the hostess stand to Wait for a new table that was not the right table great start NOT. Then serves was slow and had to ask for everything so disappointed no manager in site.....
Brought my husband, sister in-law, and friend to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The overall experience was nice, the food was filling. The gentleman who took our orders was kind towards my sister in-law and her seafood allergy. He did a good job explaining Melting Pot experience to all of us. When he asked for refills however, a couple of us we’re not heard as only one out of the four of us got our requested refills on drinks.
We made a late reservation for about 8:15 pm. We’re sat almost immediately, however towards the end of our meal, we felt as though our waiter had forgotten about us because we wanted to order desert before the restaurant closed for the night. The food was delicious and filling, however, I would have liked to try the chocolate fondue. Towards the end of our meal things felt rushed, and we grew tired of waiting for our server. I wound up having to go and find our server to tell him we wanted our check. Don’t know if we’ll be coming back to this establishment.
