Everything was really good and our server was really nice. She made it a great experience.
Great Experience! Friendly staff and very informative, helpful making for comfortable evening dinner experience.
Had a fantastic meal service was perfect everything went off without a hitch
During peak dinner hours, you might have to wait a long time between courses. But our waiter was very personable and attentive, and the other wait staff were quite friendly as well. Made our 4 course (albeit 3+ hr dinner) still fun!
Great time with great food
Everything was great, but we ordered the touch of romance and it wasn’t there so we had to awkwardly sit there while an employee scattered rose petals, and then they forgot to light the candles. But the manager did apologize and take it off the check so that was nice.
I’ve been to Melting Pot several times and every time the experience is fantastic!
I enjoy going to this restaurant. I just wish they would offer three course option, because by the time I get to the chocolate fondue, I am stuffed.
We went for New Year's Eve celebration, but early in the afternoon. Food and service was excellent as usual.
Kinda disappointed in the quantity of the food for dinner but it was a fun experience. I probably wouldn't go back for the dinner but I'll definitely go back for the chocolate dip.
We love the cheese fondue and dessert is fabulous, the ambience in the restaurant is casual and low key, but perfect place for special occasions
Service was not good. Server didn't review with us the different types of sauces, times of cooking, didn't come to check on us, we had to call her twice through other servers, check was wrong, she charge us 70.00 dlls more by mistake, then we have to wait for the bill to be corrected.
The wood on the side of the wall was very dirty, usually we can't see it because it is dark outside, but with the brunch at 1:00pm, with the light out of the sun we could detect the wall dirty. It was not very pleasant to eat with a dirty wall on our side of our table. We are very good clients of Melting Pot in Reston, but this time our experience was very poor.

Was a disappointing dinner. I had pre-arranged online to have a photo and six chocolate covered strawberries for my wife’s 40th birthday and they never even mentioned it. The waitress was not the most attentive and it was very dark in the restaurant.
This was our first visit to the Reston Melting Pot. We usually go to the one in Gaithersburg MD, and once went to the one in Arlington VA. This one on Reston is quite nice. It was easy to get to from Dulles airport, and the parking garage was convenient and free.
The food was excellent, and our sever, Johanna, was friendly and professional. My only gripe is the price tag; dinner for 3 was $161 without the tip. Ouch! But, I guess you get what you pay for. We’ll come back, no worries!
Last night we had the French Gruyere cheese course, and the Truffle Milk Chocolate dessert course. Both were good, I prefer the Classic Alpine cheese course and the Flaming Turtle dessert cours; I'll be sure to get those next time.
Had a great Birthday with family. Great atmosphere.
Daughters 18th birthday
Once we were sat down it took 45 minutes to get our drinks, which were two beers and two mixed drinks. We were told by our waiter to hurry up and put in our dinner orders because the kitchen was backed up. I was unaware that the kitchen being backed up was our problem. Our main course took an hour and a half to come out. Our “veggies” consisted of mushrooms and one piece of broccoli. The waiter stated that was all they had because no one wants mushrooms and they were low on everything else. Once again, I guess that was our problem. The manager came by and said she knew the drinks took forever to come out and would take them off the bill. This was not done by the time the bill came. Our waiter was not attentive at all. Was not personal at all, which is why we go to the melting pot. He Never asked if it was a special occasion and kept stating that they were very busy and we needed to order quickly. Not a good experience and unfortunately my wife and I have experienced this before here. I would not use this location. Spend the extra time and drive to Arlington.
We had an awesome waitress who was very accommodating to be sure we as deaf couple could understand everything she was saying as opposed to her giving up her table for another worker who knew sign language to become our waiter. Kudos to April!!!
Both our server and the food were fantastic... the host staff is not the friendliest!
We went to Melting Pot on Christmas Eve. Our server was fantastic, pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. Helped us with recommendations and she was spot on. The restaurant was busy but you didn't feel rushed through your meal. We will definitely return.
We go to the Melting Pot multiple times a year for birthdays, anniversaries, New Years, or just a date night. I’m always impressed. It’s a very fun and interactive dinner, while also being romantic and a good date night.
Awesome as always! One of our favorites!
We were a table of 7 having a family celebration. It seemed our table was in an area of the restaurant that had little ventilation. The service started out fine but got slower and slower. The dirty dishes piled up, and the water glasses were all empty. They brought our selections of broth, left them to boil for a good fifteen minutes before bringing the entrees we were to cook.Due to the lack of ventilation, we experienced what amounted to broth facials, as the pots boiled and steamed at length. Ughh.
Overall the food was good, but the whole dinner took over three hours, due to the long lag between courses. We informed the server when we were seated that we would like the complimentary chocolate covered strawberry’s which we had a coupon for. But three hours later when we asked when the strawberries would be served, they were now all sold out. Disappointing.
We always look forward to dining at the melting pot, but this time we left with doubt we would be coming back for our next special occasion.
Great place to celebrate a special day
Our server never came up to us and helped. Had to constantly go to the hostess to get refills or ask when we'd finally get our next meal. Spent about 4 hours there when we can normally finish in significantly less time than that. Finished our cheese and had to wait about 40 minutes before waiter finally got our salads to us after reminding the hostess for help. We asked for extra fruit and never received it. Gave up and finally asked another waitress for the check and she swiped it and handed it back. Waiter only came after we signed the bill and apologized. Worst melting pot experienced. Only saving grace was that the food was still exceptional. We will not be back at this location again and hope others have better service.
We thought it was very strange that he only brought us a small one bowl of vegetables. There were no potatoes just mushrooms and something else. We had to ask for a second bowl to include potatoes
Even though we had reservations for 1:30, we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated..so that they could accommodate ‘walk-ins’..Waiter failed to point out special holiday pricing, which we could have $80 had we known about them. Waiter was belligerant and loud(as if he could’nt be bothered to explain the menu) ! I used to enjoy going to the Melting Pot. Sadly, may think twice about going back to this location!
Although it felt a little understaffed, the service was good, albeit slow. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
It was a good experience. Too much garlic for.my taste though
Great service, love the food every time we go!
Fun, just make sure you are able to agree on a cheese fondue or chocolate fondue since you have to pick 1 for all guests
The server was great and the food yummy
Melting pot was fun, the food was good. Great date environment. Very good time. The most important part was absolutely the server we had. Devin I believe. He was a legend throughout the meal, great service on drinks, banter, and presentation. Just as good as the Smores dessert pot we got which was incredible too.
The food was very good, but small bites. It was fun to try the different items in cheese, and oil. But the very best was the awesome chocolate dipping sauce at the end with all kinds of goodies to dip. Be prepared to take your wallet though, because this place is on the expensive side.
Great experience as usual:)
First time in a long time going to this restaurant. Went as a gift to my daughter for her birthday.
Food was good and the pace & varity of good was very good. Service was delightful. Cost was a wee bit high but knew that going in, so was not shocked by the tab.
The food, service and ambiance were all excellent and what I have come to expect from the Melting Pot. I especially like the booths, which are like cozy alcoves that beg for cell phones to be forgotten and actual conversation to take place. The only complaint our group had was the room temperature, which was quite warm. We joined other diners outside to enjoy the temperate December evening to cool down.
They went out of their way to get us two tables close together. Great customer service
stick to cheese fondue. Other cooking styles are disappointing.
