Love this restaurant! My hubby and I celebrated his birthday and got to sit in the cozy section and it was perfect! Our waiter Dakota was awesome and very attentive to our needs as my hubby cannot have dairy.

Cannot wait for our next trip to melting pot!

First time ever here and I absolutely LOVED everything. Went here tonight for their ladies winter special. Let me tell you a major learning experience and I felt like a chef hahaha. The whole do not play with your food goes out the door. Super highly recommend this place if you want to have fun while eating amazing food!! The drink I got was love martini and let me just say im in loveee haha. Also I absolutely loved the Wisconsin cheddar and the pear brie... Yum!! For entree I ordered the MOJO sauce to cook my meats in that was definitely a wake up call to my taste buds. My personal favorite dipping sauce for the meats was their curry sauce! Yumn! Our waitress Jane was super amazing, friendly and funny! When I return I will ask to personally sit where she is serving! Overall 5 stars of 5 for having an amazing first experience here. The atmosphere super chill and it can range from family friendly to romantic to ladies night!!! Thanks Melting pot Poughkeepsie for an amazing time!!

My daughter and I try to eat at melting pot monthly. It's our favorite restaurant. We just had to try endless entree. It was great!!! We love the blackberry sage lemonade (virgin). The cheese is my favorite. You need to put the baked potato cheese back on the menu. Also the wedge salad and bring back tell cocktail sauce for the hr important, please!!!

I treated my family to a birthday lunch at this very unique restaurant. We all had a great time and a wonderful dining experience. I already mentioned it to many of my friends and family. We look forward to having more get togethers at this "fundue" restaurant.

Went out for a double date night and it was more than awesome! Spent 3 hours there and it didn't even feel like it. They didn't rush you and it was fun to cook your own food. Great overall experience!

Our reservation was for a special occasion. We made a reservation, and were shown in within 10 minutes of arriving. As the food was very good our overall experience was horrible.
Out server was very inexperienced. We were given no instructions on how to prepare our food once it was brought out (cooking time for veggies/meat/fish). We had to wait 15-20 minutes for drinks to be served once ordered, as well as waiting over 20 minutes between entrees. We had to ask repeatedly for refills on drinks and to be given the dipping sauces that we needed for our main course. Our overall time to complete our meal at this restaurant was 3 hours. This caused us miss/cancel plans that we had made after dinner, as well as ruin our experience here.
We did approach the manager to express our frustration. We were compensated with a discount off our bill and a "complimentary cookie" for dessert.

First half of our meal was on point. Once we finished our entree it took an hour to receive our chocolate for dessert. We have dined with the melting pot many times and this was very strange...chocolate was good but there was no reason to wait an hour from
Entree to dessert. That would never happen at any restaurant. We didn't complain and the manager seemed to be going to all tables to see how we were but he also saw how long we were waiting and didn't even try to make excuses or offer anything for our patience. Please do better because we love this place!

Everything was great, I went with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. My only real complaint was in the dress code of the staff, especially the manager. The manager walked up to us and we were taken back as he was in street clothes. The manager should always be dressed as such, especially when the melting pot is a higher end restaurant. Street clothes are unacceptable. I would much rather of not had a visit from him

I came for Valentine's Day with my boyfriend. We have come once before for a full dinner and a few times for dessert. We love the food there and that we get to cook it ourselves, it does lengthen the dining experience but in a really great way! We were frequently checked on by not only our server but by others and everything was phenomenal. I couldn't imagine a more romantic, intimate Valentine's Day.

The reviews are true. Avoid this place. Terrible service. I can't say how the food is because I never got any. Had 8PM reservation, was seated at 8:25 after others who just walked in without a reservation - and that was only because I complained. Left at 8:50 without so much as a glass of water. And the place was not even busy!!!

The service was awful. They ran out of utensils half way through the dinner shift. I stared at a boiling pot of soup for 45 minutes before I got the food to cook in it. Waited 1 hour to get water refilled. 3 hour dinner, so disappointed.

Our party of 6 were seated quickly. We had a Girls night out with our daughters.
We only were there for chocolate. Our waitress was present until our chocolate came. Then we never saw her again. The waiter for the next tables actually helped our waitress because she never came back and when she did come back she wasn't very accommodating. We never got napkins after asking multiple times. Because we didn't order the full menu items they took our wrapped skewer sticks and said we Couldn't keep them if we were just ordering chocolate. The worst
Is that while visiting the rest room our waitress was in there and left with out washing her hands! Gross. If this was seen before we ordered I would have walked out. We were waiting for our check at that point. We ordered drink refills and diet was served to those that ordered regular soda. We had to ask the waiter taking care Of the next tables for a refill of some fruit for our chocolate. Then it took our waitress at the end of our dining experience 15 min to make change of a twenty dollar bill. I make fondue at home and took my teenage daughter and friends out for a treat. I don't think I will be returning to the Poughkeepsie melting pot any time soon.

New Year's Eve. The food was good and the atmosphere pleasant. The server seemed a bit new and was slow to check on us for drink refills, etc. and did not mix the fondues sufficiently so we had to finish mixing them. We ordered meats with our cheese fondue that was never delivered. She also failed to give us a "search and rescue" spoon with the entrees, but gave it to us when we pointed it out.

Our night started a bit rough when my martini came with lipstick on my glass. Ugh! The waitress corrected it very quickly. We were not crazy about the batters that came with the classic oil preparation. Herb crusted pork was delicious! Filet mignon was so tender! We had a seafood allergy & even though they had a set menu for NYE they were very accommodating. When the waitress brought out our chocolate she noticed a hair on the side of the pot, she took it away & brought out a new one. The kitchen & bar need to pay better attention to these details.

Our dinner was good unfortunately our waitress was not. She was inattentive and not very informative. Any questions were answered with quickly mumbled memorized directions, at one point not even answering the question asked. We were never even offered coffee and had finished an entire course before our second drink order arrived. We ended our meal by waiting for quite some time to pay our bill which was finally taken by a busboy. If we were to return we would definitely not sit in her section or possibly travel to a different melting pot. Too much $ to spend to be treated poorly or ignored.

Great food and decent price but service is slow. Been there three times and no meal has been under 2 hours. Long periods of sitting in between each course which is counterintuitive because you cook the food yourself. Otherwise, all the waiters I've had the pleasure of having have been phenomenally friendly and again, the food is delicious, just a small compliant towards a generally fantastic restaurant.

I went here with my boyfriend to celebrate our two year anniversary. When we were seated, the waiter rushed to us and immediately told us that because of a bunch of call-outs, he was the only one on staff at that time. We appreciated his transparency, but it wasn't the warm welcome we were expecting. We had set aside 2 hours to have dinner here, knowing that because it is a fondue place, that it would be a longer dinner experience. We ended up being there for 3 and a half hours.

We were constantly waiting for the waiter to rush by so we could try and catch him for a refill etc. When we were able to flag him down, he mentioned that more employees had come in, yet the service was slower than ever. At multiple times I stood up and looked around for anyone who could assist us in getting the check, there were no employees around, and it took a good 15 minutes before the check finally arrived. When it did, it was dropped on the table as he ran off to help another table without a word spoken.

I am very disappointed in this experience. I have been to a number of melting pots and this one was the worst experience by far. I came here to celebrate a milestone and we felt more like a burden than anything else. The service was incredibly slow and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My waiter was absolutely terrible. He was inattentive and did not seem to know what he was doing. He spilled beer on the table and did not clean it up and he took forever to get us silverware and plates. He did not explain what he was doing as he was setting up our fondue as other waiters do. He made me not want to go back.

I talk it up to everyone I know and will continue to do so because I love it so much.

Went to melting pot for my wife's birthday . After we ordered they told us if we weren't sitting at a table that one burner we could have tried two of the cheese flavors, we were a little disappointed that we didnt have that option because everything looks so good. Anyway, we ordered an appetizer and didn't like it at all and wanted to send it back, but our server didn't stop back for a half an hour so we opted to move on to the salads. Then we took the servers recommendation for the cooking broth and it was very overpowering and made everything taste like pepper. The meats were all tender, good cut, ours just tasted like pepper. Again we waited a long time, we'd been at the table for 90 minutes total when they came and took our dinner plates away. We asked our server how long it would take to get dessert and she told us it would take ten minutes to get it to the table if they rushed it. We opted to skip dessert mainly because we were tired of waiting. They did offer a coupon for 2 dessert portions if we ever return.
Overall it was a disappointing experience for us, we waited an extremely long time for everything and we didn't enjoy the flavors we selected.
