Our waiter was excellent and so was the food.
Very friendly staff. Our waiter was very good at explaining the menu to us. Definitely will go again in the near future.
The food was good however our server wasn’t very friendly and disappeared for a while. We were told a manager would come but never showed. On our way out we looked for a hostess or manager to speak to (even just to get a mint since the bowl was empty) and didn’t see anyone for several minutes. We went to the bathroom and came back and still there was not one person to help us so we finally just left.
Fantastic - as always
Excellent food & service fabulous enviroment Great time all around time
Everything was perfect except for our waitress accidentally spilling the vegetable broth on my husbands lap & in his seat. Other than that she was helpful. The experience is awesome.
Jessica was our server and she was wonderful , friendly, helpful and beautiful. My sister and I loved talking to Jessica and she treated us so special. It was my sister's birthday and she loved being at the Melting Pot. We can't wait to go back and I hope we get Jessica again.
Thank you for a wonderful afternoon ........
The food was delicious as usual! The service was horrible, I had to wait for a long time for a drink refill and to receive my check for payment. The good food makes up for the poor service though.
We went during the week so it was not crowded. It is a cozy, romantic atmosphere. The server was very knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. We enjoyed several varieties of cheese fondue we have not tried before. It was delicious and filling. We will definitely be back.
We really enjoyed out time at the Melting Pot. We only have one downside. The waitress forgot to bring us water when we first walked in and was very slow at bringing refills of the drinks we ordered. It was overall a great experience and we had a ton of fun.
Was disappointed with the wait staff. She was very pushy and rushing us and the place was not full. We were still eating at one of the cheese pots when the busboy tried to take it away. When we said we were still eating it, he stood there and waited until we were done (very intrusive when someone is eating). It was my birthday and my friend asked if they did anything for birthdays and her answer to us was "It Depends whose birthday is it?" I told her it was mine and she brought out a candle on a plate. The candle wasn't in anything, it was embarrassing. I enjoy this place an will definitely go back but will make sure I never have her again.
Food was terrific, atmosphere what you would expect. I had my children with me and they neither seemed out of place or as a unpleasant surprise to guest around us.
Meal took almost 3 hours, so don’t expect this to be a quick experience.
All the cheeses, broths and chocolates offered as part of the 4 course meal were exceptional. Between the 5 of us we had every combination of meat from beef to chicken, duck, shrimp, lobster & fish. We had no clear favorite.
All in all it was a pleasant experience. Only draw back to the night was the service seemed reactive vs proactive with us often having to wait or follow up on items.
The only issue we had was that our fondue pot was set at a low temperature and everything took long to heat up - especially waiting for the oil. Overall good service good food - a bit pricy but that’s expected
Good food, good atmosphere, good service. 4 course Raleigh dinner special is a good value.
I love the Melting Pot! Every course is delicious and there is something for everyone to love!
Service was exceptional and food was great. My boyfriend is pescatarian and with us having to share a pot I opted to do a create your own 4-course experience with only seafood like him. We did plain shrimp, garlic lemon shrimp and salmon and I had no regrets going with seafood only. I highly recommend mojo for the cooking style and chocolate smores for the chocolate style as those are my personal favorites. The evening ended perfectly with dessert which is my favorite part of going to Melting Pot.
My wife and I went here for our 24th wedding anniversary and it was great. The food was delicious. We got the Big Night Out meal and when I read what was on it, I was thinking this is not going to be enough food for me, let alone the both of us. How wrong was I. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and guided us through the meal. He was always right on time, but never hovering over us. The manager even came out and wished us a happy anniversary. I would strongly suggest trying it out, if you have never and always thought that you wanted to.
This was our second time visiting the Raleigh Melting Pot location. The first time a few weeks ago we had excellent service but this last time they fell short. The food was excellent as before, and the price was right, but the service we received was minimal. At one point after we had completely finished our third course we waited over 20 minutes for the server to return. We were also given the wrong desert for the fourth course. We did not send it back because we did not want to wait even longer and it was still very good. Perhaps she was overbooked on tables. I don’t know. The last time we visited a manager was checking in on the guest asking how everything was. This time we didn’t see or experience that.
The food was great and the service was too. There was one customer who was a little loud but not much that could really be done about that. Great place for a date or special occasion if you can afford about $95 for two people.
My wife and I were celebrating our twentieth wedding anniversary. The staff welcome us and were extremely friendly. Our waiter was extremely helpful since this was our first experience eating fondue. Was especially touched by the Anniversary card that was delivered to us at our table which had been signed by the staff. Excellent touch! Will definitely recommend this restaurant to our family and friends!
Food was really good. Loved the Garlic Wine seasoning. Our waitress was fabulous!!!
We enjoyed going to the Melting Pot in Raleigh for our anniversary. We received a coupon in the mail and used that; and I am glad we did because we still spent more money than we were expecting! The food and experience was well worth it though!
My wife and I went to the Melting Pot for our six year anniversary. It was our first time ever at this kind of restaurant. We chose the 4 course meal which was: Cheese fondue, salad, entree and chocolate fondue. If we ever go back, it would be for the cheese and chocolate fondue. The house salad and ceasars salad were ordinary and the idea of boiling your food in oil water is fun, but everything tasted the same. It was not good. My wife got the vegetarian entree and it was not worth it. The tofu and the mushrooms cooked the best out of everything but like I said before, everything tasted the same including my steak and shrimp entree. Our waitress expressed enthusiasm during our visit and was helpful but it was very unsettling that she did not once smile at us during the entire dinner. She must of been going through some things outside of work (because the place was empty) so we understand, but it was very odd how perky she was with such a poker face. Over all, we were just happen to go out for our anniversary and spend time with one another. If it were not a special occasion, we might feel otherwise. Probably will try Melting Pot again in the future, just not with the Raleigh location.
Went for my wife's birthday. We had amazing service and food. Well worth the price. Will definitely be going back soon!
Our waiter was very friendly and nice. He was attentive to our experience and never left our glasses empty of our drinks.
Always a fun place to go. Good and ambiance after great and the food is unique. Great for a date night!
I brought two friends who had never had the experience of fondue. One has food allergies (including a life threatening allergy to sulfites), and our server was able to make accomodations for her to be included in everything we sampled. We look forward to returning for the lunch special soon!
Delicious as always
The waitress was very friendly and helpful when we selected our food. She knew the menu very well.
It was great. Didnt know i had to put an order in for chocolate covered strawberries prior to the dinner so i wasnt able to get any but the experience was a great one. We enjoyed it.
For my mom’s Birthday we came here. I loved that they have vegetarian friendly options, and the Classic alpine cheese fondue was amazing. Our waitress was very friendly and I appreciated that she never forgot anything but dinner moved at a snail crawl pace. Wonderful atmosphere and overall great experience!
Excellent variety of tastes. Your complete pallet gets
The Melting Pot is a great place to enjoy a nice dinner with someone special. My date and I missed an appointment in New York because of the Nor'easter, so we decided to make the most of our time dining at special venues in Raleigh (no New York, but still...) Our server, Alexis made the night wonderful. Perfect timing, great recommendations, wonderful demeanor — we couldn't have asked for a better experience (in Raleigh, that is). We did have to wait a bit after our reservation time to be seated; unfortunately, that has been our norm with TMP (if you're reading this, Management, please fix that issue). Otherwise, great night and great service.
Our server was amazing. The food was great and atmosphere but he really made it a great experience
I had my first dinner at the Melting Pot 15 years ago and was very impressed. For our special occasion, we ate here again. The food was very disappointing this time. The baked potato fondue was too thick, making it challenging to spear the items. The batters for our entrees did not stick to our fondue items when cooking for the allotted cooking times. Eating food fried in oil was not the dining experience we wanted. It was overpriced for the poor experience. I won't be returning, nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Dining at the Melting Pot is always an enjoyable experience.
The whole experience was incredible. Hailey was our server. She was awesome. It was our first time there and she explained everything and made sure we understood. Definatly a special occasion establishment. For two couples we went all out and enjoyed drinks and got lobster upgrades and spent $298 not including a tip.
I love this place and try really hard to visit once every so many months. I take advantage of my fondue goers specials that come through my email.
Overall experience was good. Server was very helpful as the menu was a bit overwhelming for a first timer. The fondue experience was very fun. My only complaint is that the inside of the restaurant was pretty dirty. Lots of old dirt and crud in the window sills. Made me afraid to touch anything.
Service was attentive and wonderful despite how busy they were. It's really too much food, so we almost never go, but it's very tasty and good for a splurge. My preschooler had been begging to try it and we felt he was about to the age where he could pay enough attention to be safe around the hot food and cooktop. He did very well with some reminders and kept proclaiming it the best dinner ever and telling us how fun it was. It takes a long time to have a fondue dinner just by its nature, so we were pleased he was able to remain patient - we were there a bit under 2 hours.
My husband had called ahead to make some arrangement for flowers to be at the table for my birthday and that portion got forgotten, but we also weren't charged for it, so it was fine.
Our server was very knowledgable and friendly - and also engaging and patient with the 4 1/2 year old, which we greatly appreciated. We really enjoyed all of the food, and left feeling a little overly full but not too bad. Definitely a good spot for special occasions.
