Had reservations for 8:15pm and didn't get seated until 8:40. Very frustrating. Food was good as always. Because of the delayed seating despite reservations so we were one of the last people eating. Then waiter took forever for us to get out dessert fondue and pick up the check because he was closing down for the night. Kinda crappie service all around

Thoroughly enjoyed our Mother's Day/Graduation meal at the Melting Pot. Were not told ahead of time that there was a "set" menu, however, but we worked around it. Main issue was that there was more food than needed. Great server, though, and the food WAS wonderful -- even though we came home with two FULL boxes of meat! Will certainly go more often than we have, but will plan a time when we don't HAVE to buy a certain amount of food! (Cheese fondue, split a salad and the chocolate fondue would be MORE than enough!)

Raleigh Location - The service was horrible. We were seated five minutes before our reservation (good), waitress asked if we had ever been there...our response "No"...no help in getting us prepared for what was to come as she did not explain anything to us (bad). Table next to us sat down after us, served their entire four courses 10-15 minutes before us (each course - Bread/Cheese + Salad + Main Course + desert). Guess our waitress had other priorities because we sure weren't. Planned on giving my wife a wonderful night out with our family for Mother's Day and instead wasted 2 plus hours on a meal that frankly wasn't worth anything. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone as the "experience" was absolutely atrocious.

The experience was fair.

Our server seemed pre-occupied. Got some things crossed but it still turned out ok.

Salads were a bit over dressed. The cheeses that we ate (Wisconsin cheddar and spinach artichoke) were good along with our entrees in the mojo cooking style.

We've had better experiences at this location.

This was probably our most disappointing visit to The Melting Pot in years. To start off, although there were three of us we were only given enough cheese for two. We mentioned it to the manager and he sent over another serving. The vegetable offering was lacking. We've always enjoyed the cauliflower but that's been replaced with a couple grape tomatoes. They no longer have the spinach and mushroom salad, a favorite with our group, and the house salad was mainly iceburg lettuce, although the dressing is still the best! The dessert fondue was okay, although more fruit and fewer chocolate items would be more appealing. And, the service was mediocre. The restaurant was slow but our server was rather inattentive. Over all, nothing awful, but definitely not worth the price for less than satisfying food and service.

Had a great time. Girl at front desk was accommodating and got us a great table. She followed up to ask if our table was good. Our waitress was great too. The manager came over as well and asked how our evening was.

Our server Joe was very attentive and helpful in describing selections for us since this was our first time. We enjoyed talking with him and appreciated his recommendations. The four-course option turns out to be PLENTY of food and we left very satisfied.

The food was good however our server wasn’t very friendly and disappeared for a while. We were told a manager would come but never showed. On our way out we looked for a hostess or manager to speak to (even just to get a mint since the bowl was empty) and didn’t see anyone for several minutes. We went to the bathroom and came back and still there was not one person to help us so we finally just left.

Thank you for a wonderful afternoon ........

The food was delicious as usual! The service was horrible, I had to wait for a long time for a drink refill and to receive my check for payment. The good food makes up for the poor service though.

We went during the week so it was not crowded. It is a cozy, romantic atmosphere. The server was very knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. We enjoyed several varieties of cheese fondue we have not tried before. It was delicious and filling. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed out time at the Melting Pot. We only have one downside. The waitress forgot to bring us water when we first walked in and was very slow at bringing refills of the drinks we ordered. It was overall a great experience and we had a ton of fun.

Was disappointed with the wait staff. She was very pushy and rushing us and the place was not full. We were still eating at one of the cheese pots when the busboy tried to take it away. When we said we were still eating it, he stood there and waited until we were done (very intrusive when someone is eating). It was my birthday and my friend asked if they did anything for birthdays and her answer to us was "It Depends whose birthday is it?" I told her it was mine and she brought out a candle on a plate. The candle wasn't in anything, it was embarrassing. I enjoy this place an will definitely go back but will make sure I never have her again.

Food was terrific, atmosphere what you would expect. I had my children with me and they neither seemed out of place or as a unpleasant surprise to guest around us.

Meal took almost 3 hours, so don’t expect this to be a quick experience.

All the cheeses, broths and chocolates offered as part of the 4 course meal were exceptional. Between the 5 of us we had every combination of meat from beef to chicken, duck, shrimp, lobster & fish. We had no clear favorite.

All in all it was a pleasant experience. Only draw back to the night was the service seemed reactive vs proactive with us often having to wait or follow up on items.

The only issue we had was that our fondue pot was set at a low temperature and everything took long to heat up - especially waiting for the oil. Overall good service good food - a bit pricy but that’s expected

Service was exceptional and food was great. My boyfriend is pescatarian and with us having to share a pot I opted to do a create your own 4-course experience with only seafood like him. We did plain shrimp, garlic lemon shrimp and salmon and I had no regrets going with seafood only. I highly recommend mojo for the cooking style and chocolate smores for the chocolate style as those are my personal favorites. The evening ended perfectly with dessert which is my favorite part of going to Melting Pot.

My wife and I went here for our 24th wedding anniversary and it was great. The food was delicious. We got the Big Night Out meal and when I read what was on it, I was thinking this is not going to be enough food for me, let alone the both of us. How wrong was I. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and guided us through the meal. He was always right on time, but never hovering over us. The manager even came out and wished us a happy anniversary. I would strongly suggest trying it out, if you have never and always thought that you wanted to.

This was our second time visiting the Raleigh Melting Pot location. The first time a few weeks ago we had excellent service but this last time they fell short. The food was excellent as before, and the price was right, but the service we received was minimal. At one point after we had completely finished our third course we waited over 20 minutes for the server to return. We were also given the wrong desert for the fourth course. We did not send it back because we did not want to wait even longer and it was still very good. Perhaps she was overbooked on tables. I don’t know. The last time we visited a manager was checking in on the guest asking how everything was. This time we didn’t see or experience that.

The food was great and the service was too. There was one customer who was a little loud but not much that could really be done about that. Great place for a date or special occasion if you can afford about $95 for two people.

My wife and I were celebrating our twentieth wedding anniversary. The staff welcome us and were extremely friendly. Our waiter was extremely helpful since this was our first experience eating fondue. Was especially touched by the Anniversary card that was delivered to us at our table which had been signed by the staff. Excellent touch! Will definitely recommend this restaurant to our family and friends!
