I have Been to the melting pot many times in the past. They make the fondue in front of you and have excellent customer service. This time I’m told they make it in the back now. It comes out cold and watery. Have to ask for items and even a water refill. Very poor service. Also new payment system gives you only three options for a tip. 24%,21% and 19%. Wtf. There service was worth maybe 5%. Never going back which sucks because it used to be great. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs. IT IS NOT LONGER WORTH THE MONEY

We went with another couple. It was so much fun and our server Ashley was really great. The food was amazing and the experience of it was totally worth the trip. The only thing we could maybe complain about was that we were seated at a table with only 1 burner so we all had to share instead of picking stuff for each couple. Not a big deal but it seems silly to pay full price for 2 dinners for 2 when it's only 1 pot and it holds enough for 1 couples choice. Other than that it was a great time and would definitely go back

Not sure what to say to her than melting pot always delivers on their experience. Service was great, we were seated almost exactly at our reservation time and the food was delicious. They also offer great occasion packages which is always great, makes the night out that much more special with only a little effort.

We go often, it’s our celebration place. And this time was just off. The waiter was super nice, but we waited for along time for drinks, then never got our salads till our main course was at the table, which is not the usual way. The nights service and food was just off. Not normal for our trips to the melting pot for sure… we will go back, but we will hope for better the next time.

Very disappointing experience at one of our favorite restaurants. Been coming to this Melting Pot location for more than 10 yrs, multiple times per year and never had this type of experience. 1 - No waters were offered or brought by server 2 - Server rarely checked back with us, so we had to wait for refills on drinks, vegetables, etc. 3 - Cheese is not prepared at the table any longer. This was part of the “experience” that made MP unique. Restaurant cutting corners to get people out faster. 4 - Portions have reduced significantly. For the cheese entree, there was barely enough cheese to even enjoy 5 - Asked for extra salad dressing when ordering but none was brought until we waiting an extra 10+ min for server to return to table 6 - No garlic and wine seasoning was offered or brought - I had to ask 7 - For the mojo cooking broth, they usually squeeze the orange and other items into the pot. Server didn’t do that; just dumped them all in the pot.

We were told they were out of the oil for the main course, but then the server said they had enough for one more pot. We weren’t told that they were out of batter though, so our server just brought us a pot of oil - not appetizing and not tasty. Had we known, we would’ve skipped the main course or eaten elsewhere. Not thrilled about paying $70+ to fry things directly in tasteless oil. We won’t be back. One of the poorer dining experiences I’ve had.

Amazing experience from the time we entered the door. The team is engaged and friendly. They do a phenomenal job of making you feel welcomed. Waitress was amazing! Friendly, engaged, and fun! Made a special night memorable! Spent the time to recommend cook times and different sauces. Food was amazing and it is just an amazing experience! I will be returning with my daughter when she visits from Alaska and can’t wait for her to experience such a great location with amazing food!

Excellent food, tried the Caribbean pot this time and is was great! Only complaint is this time, like every time I've been here the front desk is very insistent, almost militant about whether all the party is there, when they'll be there, etc. I understand the concern, but there are no guarantees in this life. I just don't know if "Bob" is going to show up on time.

This was a date night for my husband and I. The Cheese Fondue and Dinner course was great but our waitress was in a hurry to give us our bill before I was done eating the chocolate fondue. I don’t understand the hurry while enjoying the best part. Disappointed.

Our first expression was great with the hosts, friendly and professional at arrival. We ended up picking the big night out. The first hick up was when the coq au vin was dropped and took a long 35 minutes to get our mains, with nobody checking with us during that time. Our dark chocolate fondue was amazing. Friendly waitress, the other part that I would suggest changing at the end was the way the payment was handled, felt abrupt, not found it while enjoying we were enjoying our desert, I would suggest maybe waiting to be able to finish up with desert, especially after waiting so long for our main, maybe we came across as tourists but we are locals (SW PDX), it felt very off when we got to home. We had been definitely looking forward to it and were planning on bringing the kids on our next night out. We are not so sure anymore.

Our server, Ollie, was friendly and fun! It was a great experience. Thai was our first visit back since Covid. Before that, and the other downtown chaos, we were regulars. The downtown felt safe enough and the restaurant itself felt completely safe and comfortable! We will be back soon!

Worst experience I can remember. Restaurant was overfilled due to rescheduling from the ice storm and they didn’t have enough staff. Dinner took 4 hours. We didn’t get our first drinks until the cheese fondue course was almost over. The server did his best, not his fault. But they should never have booked it so full. Also, can we get some decent bread? I wouldn’t feed that bread to ducks in a pond… and what is Alpine fondue without the kirsch?
