The Melting Pot - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
The food and the service was amazing. Our waiter Michael was very professional yet not serious. He knew the menu front and back, kept us entertained, and was very quick with refills and our food. The manager came by to introduce himself and ask about our experience. I would love to give this place 5 stars across the board. The only reason I give 4 stars is for the hostess in the front of the establishment. She was very rude to my wife, almost looked down on her, walked us to our table and as she was walking away (with her back turned to us) said “thanks for coming”. That was almost enough for us to cancel our reservation and go somewhere else. Luckily the rest of the awesome staff made up for her ill behavior and poor attitude towards my wife and friends. She is the 1st person we meet when coming into the establishment so to be so off putting can really turn customers away real quick.
Took the family for dinner, and to do something different. My son is a picky eater but there is something for everyone, so he had no problem finding food to meet his needs. we had the 4 course meal which was too much food for us, probably should have only have 3 courses (have to save room for dessert at the end) Simply put , would return, and waiter Reuben was very helpful.
This is a fabulous place- we are regulars and our experience is always excellent. The restaurant is very well managed and service consistently exceeds expectations- especially this evening with Melissa! We will ask for her next time and can’t wait to come back!
Food and ambiance were great as usual. In regards to service, it was good with one hiccup. The server accidentally knocked over a beer bottle on the table. While most of it was in the glass, there was still quit enough that spilled over the menu and table. The server apologized and picked up the bottle but then continued going over the food options while my partner sat there holding the menu in the air, trying o prevent the beer on the menu from spilling and had to ask the server to wipe the menu off. There was never an offer to replace the beer, etc. Not the worst experience ever, but when I’m spending over $100 dollars, I guess I expected a better response. I just wanted to be be honest with my impression of the service.
It was our first time visiting the Melting pot and our first experience of a fondue restaurant!
Although a little pricier than expected, we were not dissapointed.
Our waiter Chadwick ensured that we had a great evening. He catered for our every need, gave great menu recommendations and explained how everything worked.
I would definitely recommend the restaurant to others and hope to return when we’re next in the USA.
Great food & unique experience. Expect to spend 2 to 3 hours there. It's pricey so definitely more suited for a special occasion (but I'd take the cheese fondue any day!) They have a lunch option that includes the cheese fondue, salad & dessert (chocolate fondue) for $19. Would definitely do that next time. If you choose to do the meat, the mojo cooking style is great, but not good with any of the pasta options. Also, they charged $5 for that cooking style...not sure why since it's one of the 4 options for a meal that already costs $40 a person.
Overall a good experience!
We had a great time. Our servers (one was training) were very friendly and attentive. We were a table of six and we never had to wait for drink refills. Even when they forgot we had a pineapple allergy at the table our server immediately apologized and brought us a brand new (
My wife and I went here to celebrate our anaversey and to take advantage of the magical dining deal (cheese fondue, dinner, desert for $35 person). Our service was a tad on the slow side to start but got better as the night went on. It’s fun to “prepare” your own food as you eat. However the food was only good, not great. I’ve only had fondue once before so I don’t have much to compare it to but the bread for the cheese sauce was seemed a tad stale and the desert items felt the same way. The main course was fresh and well prepared but the sauces for dipping weren’t anything to write home about. It’s on the pricier side for me but I know I’m paying a little extra for the experience. All in all it’s a great place and because my wife loves it so much I’m sure we’ll be back. Fondue is just not my thing.
Unlike other Melting Pot locations I've visited in the past, this restaurant appeared new, clean and delivered an upscale environment. From the hostesses at the front counter to our server, everyone was enthusiastic and well informed of the menu offerings. I will return.
It was overall great, we did the magical dining for $35, although we got the a different type of chocolate from what the ore set menu included (I think) anyways my point is that our sever didn’t guide us or mention that we still had our included chocolate in line ( so we pretty much missed out in the magical dining chocolate) but went ahead and charged us for the other one. It just would’ve been nice to get what we were paying for. So my tip is, pay attention to what you order I guess and make sure to ask if what you are ordering is what is included.
