The Melting Pot - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
It was my second birthday spent here, and the experience was amazing as always. It was the first time I took my daughters and their big on first time experiences, and they enjoyed their time as well. We ended a great meal at the photo booth in the back of the restaurant. I love the The Melting Pot!
The food was good, but honestly, it was so cold in the restaurant that it was tough to enjoy our meal. I was wearing long pants, and a 3/4 sleeve shirt and was so cold I had goose bumps and shivers. My daughter had to step outside to warm up twice. She had to put a spare shirt over her dress to try to warm up. I spoke to the server twice and the manager once, and it was so uncomfortably cold. When the fan on the A/C would kick in, it would blow right down my neck. I explained this, but they never offered to move us to a different table or anything (it was a 3:30 p.m. reservation, there were plenty of open spaces). They claimed to have raised the temperature and that we would feel a raise in temp when they warmed up the pot of broth to cook in. I wore my cloth napkin on my neck to help with the draft. It was absurd. I sat there, trying to celebrate my birthday while shivering, hunched over a pot of broth rubbing my hands together, wearing my napkin on my neck trying to stay warm. I had hoped that it would be a little more enjoyable an atmosphere for the money that you spend for the privilege of eating there.
"Went to celebrate my Girlfriend's bday the atmosphere and the attention of the entire staff was amazing. Leo was so fun, knowledgeble and friendly. He gave us hints on how to do the fondue also great menu recommendations I would definitely go back and spread the word!!! Amazing experience!!! Oh! Manager came by and gave the Bday girl a Bday card! Leo came up with a candle in a piece of pound cake!!! So funny and cute! He was also a very good photographer!!! :) Perfect date night!"
Fantastic food as always! Our server Leo went above and beyond as he did the last time he was our waiter. The atmosphere is romantic and perfect for dates, the manager brought us an anniversary card too which was a nice surprise. Can't wait to come back again soon!
Melting pot has a big rave from people I know but when I got to experience it for myself, I felt disappointed. Spent 100 for small bits of food and fondue I could of done at home for 30 bucks. Great look but it's definitely not worth the money in my opinion. My fiancée loves it but I wouldn't be coming back. Left the establishment still hungry so McDonald's got my money after leaving melting pot.
Come here for the cheese and dessert . Skip the entree as it was not worth the money at all. Way to small of portion . You will leave still hungry and with an empty wallet . None the less the atmosphere is nice and it is unique so I still would tell a friend to visit but ditch the entree eat more somewhere else
Food was amazing. It was our first time and Adam the host gave us recommendations which we followed. Then Kourtney was our server. She was excellent and knowledgeable and walked us through the entire experience. The food is fantastic and we had the Valentine's Day special. The 4 cheese fondue was insane and should be on the menu! It's pricey but that's what we had always heard and was worth it. Great experience.
I've been to Melting Pot a lot, but this is my first time at the Sand Lake location. I loved the decor and the staff was great. They were able to get us a 2 burner table even though we were a party of 4. Will definitely go back to this location versus the Tampa location, which is abot equidistant from my house. Food was amazing as always, and glad we tried the Brie and Bacon cheese fondue . Delicious.
My husband and I were from out of town and made reservations prior to flying into Orlando. The server was personable and knowledgeable. I prefer not to have a talkative server and she didn't talk too much - pleasantries but not overly much conversation. My husband is not a "foodie" and was hesitant about the whole fondue experience...it turned out to be his favorite dining destination of our vacation!
