The Melting Pot - Nashville Ratings and Reviews
WORST server ever. Racheal (our server) displayed zero passion or appreciation for our patronage. Her tonality was terribly poor and un enthusiastic. She rushed words, meal courses and displayed the worst attitude when asked questions or to repeat sentences. If management elects to on board reckless servers to abuse it's clientele... it's a pleasure for me to warn all of my 883 FB friends to steer clear Melting Pot.
The food was excellent. Our only complaint was that it took quite a while after we were done and we had to find the waiter and ask for our bill. We were on a timeline with TPAC tickets. Otherwise the service was excellent. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly.
We reserved a table, showed up but decided not to stay. This type of dining was not something we wanted. Everything had to be cooked by patron on table. Nice idea, and probably a nice dining experience but for $45-50 pp, I'd rather order and be served the food already cooked.
What I was expecially NOT happy about was that we were using an open table dining reward if we had stayed. As I discovered later-the reward STAYS with the restaurant even though we did not dine there. They also did not CANCEL my reservation, which I did immediately upon leaving the restaurant. Evidently, it didn't matter. The 100 pts went to my account, but the reward was NOT returned to my account. Why not just skip the 100 pts and RETURN the reward to account so it can be used again!
Thought the shredded cheese for the fondu was a little tacky. Shaving it off the block would have been a quality touch. Especially at the prices you charge.
Service was nice.
Didn't like paying all the money to cook my own meat.
Overall I wouldn't recommend it. This was our anniversary and we both were disappointed.
This was our first time dining here and heard a lot of hype about it.
We went for our anniversary and we spent about $130. I knew it was pricey and that was ok, but I just wasn’t blown away with the food or the experience. The table was tiny and not a lot of room to sit our plates.
The waiter we had was phenomenal though.
Smelliest restaurant ever... I mean... It was horrifying and I completely lost my appetite. And the carpet did no one any favors. I boiled my food in Lipton soup. Our waiter opened a screw top wine bottle with a corkscrew which I didn't even think was humanly possible... So maybe I should be impressed.... Literally the worst meal of my whole life. Don't. Go.
Food was excellent but we were not aware that our table of 4 would all have to order the same cheese, cooking method etc. Also, the steep stairs going down to the restaurant for anyone disabled and they do not make it clear that there is an elevator available. But again, food was great!
My girlfriend and I wanted a date night, but wanted it to be a really nice date. So she decided on the melting pot. And we loved it. It’s definitely worth the money! I would recommend it for special occasions, dates, birthdays, or even just two friends catching up. We will definitely attend again.
We really enjoyed our dining experience at The Melting Pot. The food was amazing as always and our waiter (I believe his name began with an R but can’t think of it at this time) was very attentive and knowledgeable. We have dined at this restaurant a few times and weren’t aware we could substitute meats for others we preferred when getting the Nashville Big Night Out. Our reservation was for 5:00 but they allowed us to be seated early because we arrived about 15 minutes early. Overall we were pleased with the meal and service we received and will be frequenting again. Thank you!!
Everything about the food and drinks was great, as always. However, our waitress was awful. There wasn’t a moment she didn’t seem to not know what she was doing. From not knowing what basic cocktails were, to not knowing who’s entree was who’s when handing out our dishes, she just didn’t seem professional at all.
