The Melting Pot - Myrtle Beach Ratings and Reviews
We always love eating at the melting pot in myrtle beach. The food is always great and so is the service. We went for my wife's birthday for a romantic dinner for two and took advantage of a package they were offering where they had balloons at the table and took a picture of us at dinner. Thanks for a special evening!
There's something for everyone's taste at the Melting Pot. From appetizers, entrees and desserts, the fare is there. You cook to your own tastes, and eat what you like most. The variety in each menu is plentiful as is the amount of food to prepare. With all the sauces, every bite is a treat, and one can be different than the previous. Meat lovers, veggies, chocolate fiends all get their fill and the taste buds get treated well. If you read this and DON'T GO to the Melting Pot, well, shame on you for six weeks!
This was our first time to dine at a Melting Pot. We did not try the cheese fondue but will definitely order this option the next time. Our salad was excellent, and we had the Land and Sea entree. We learned we prefer the shrimp and steak over the chicken. We opted for the chocolate fondue for dessert which was more than enough for 2 people and it was to die for!! Yummy experience!!
As always excellent service, food, and drinks! I took my girlfriend for her birthday and added some extras to our private corner booth and it was great. This location is by far better than any other I have dined. The manager was very accomodating to my requests for the evening and ensured that our evening was perfect. Top notch and 5 stars! Highly recommended!
Our dinner at the melting pot was a very special occasion. When I made the reservations on line I put that we would be celebrating by daugthers 18th birthday. I was surprised and pleased when we arrived and they acknowledged right off that it was her birthday, when we sat down they present her with a birthday card that was a special touch. Our service and food was excellent and it was a wonderful dining experience. I would recommned the Melting Pot to anyone looking for a different dining experience.
We found it a most delightful dining experience. We are not much for alcohol drinking, and our knowledge of wines is terrible, but what I would suggest is nonalcohol line of wines like Welch's have ( if you can get them to make the Wild Berry again, I know a lot grateful people) for the teetotallers. The only other suggestion I would make is a place for outdoor dining. It of course, would have to be well designed. Check out the designs they have in Murrells Inlet, they can be used year round with outside air, but with the capability of using climate control during bad weather.
The atmosphere, service, and food at The Melting Pot is always fantastic, regardless of location. This was our first experience at The Melting Pot in Myrtle Beach, SC, and it was great. Our server, Morgan, was beyond excellent. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and brought an element of elegance to the dining experience. I have no doubt the entire staff is fantastic, but I would request Morgan (if available) on my next visit.
As soon as we arrived, we were seated in a dimly lit romantic setting, we ordered drinks and selected a classic fondue, spinach salad, fish and shrimp entree. We left it up to our server to choose our desert course, a delicious chocolate fondue.
I should caution you not to order a gibson as they do not stock pearl onions. Also the cheese used in the classic fondue lacked the nutty flavor we are accustomed to, and would have preferred a bit more of the Kirschwasser.
All in all we had a very enjoyable evening.
The Melting Pot in Myrtle Beach is always amazing. My husband and I look forward to dinner there every time we visit Myrtle. The service is always wonderful and the food is delicious. Every Melting Pot I have visited has been great but at this one in particular the staff always goes out of their way to make it a wonderful, memorable dining experience.
A very Romantic atmosphere and a nice concept. Fondue in all forms---cheese, meat, dessert. Nicely prepared and good flavors. Only issue was that we felt a little rushed, maybe because we started dining at 8:45PM and servers wanted to get out. A meal like that deserves lots of time though as it is very rich.
The service was above par. The atmosphere was perfect. The special event was for my daughter's seventh birthday. She asked to be taken to the Melting Pot. We took her grandmother and my daughter who had been there before was able to articulate the steps to the evenings dinner. Thank you for the birthday card that was waiting on the table when we arrived for her. Thank you for awesome service and the wonderful evening.
Everything was great except for the group of 8 people that included 6 college freshmen that came in 9pm and ruined the rest of our meal by being loud, rude and obnoxious. I felt the staff should of asked them to quiet down at some point. I mean, were not at applebee's. I paid $150 for 2 people. It was also our anniversary. I don't expect the waiter to say something to the table but it would of been nice of a manager to ask them to quiet down since it is a fine dining establishment. Our waiter was excellent, forget his name, but he was from Maryland.
This was our (my wife and I) first time at The melting Pot. We have always been curious about the whole "fondue" thing and were pleasantly surprised. It's definitely not an everyday (or week) thing because of the time involved (four courses, cooking time, etc.), but a very nice diversion. The food itself was pretty tasty, but nothing mind blowing. The service was great though. I'll give it another try.
We had just gotten engaged before coming to the restaurant. Our server, Daniel, was fantastic. He offered to move us once we were seated because the table next to us had some exuberant kids. We love kids so it was fine to stay where we were. The management staff each checked on us once and that was great too. We'll be back when we're in the area!
Loved everything but the table my wife and I were on our 3rd anniversary and we would either like to sit next to one another or across. The table that we sat at was kind of a corner table for 3 people i guess. Not very romantic but everything else was great!
Have been going to this Melting Pot for roughly ten years. The food is great and the service is better. This establishment is probably one of the best run restaurants we've ever visited, which is the reason why we keep coming back. I can't say enough (that I haven't already said) and would recommend anyone visiting Myrtle Beach, and looking for a fun night, check this place out.
