The Melting Pot - Miami Ratings and Reviews
gentlemen rejoice! I procrastinated way too much (as always) on finding a place for my anniversary, I wanted to make the first one special, Friend referred me to the melting pot. I was able to do a quick reservation on the same day and actually driving over there. Mike our server was very polite and helpful and made us feel welcome by the end of the night I forgot the turmoil that it took to get there from working to traffic and making sure everything went according to plan. My girlfriend was so impressed she thought I planned for months. Without a second thought I will always refer the melting pot as my new favorite place. (Big night out)
Celebrating Birthday with my husband. Perfect restaurant for couples, nice and romantic, quiet but with background music, service good, inside its beautiful with art style. The food is great, the cheese, the chocolate totally different from other restaurants which is what we were looking for. Something totally exciting and new.
Food and service were great. I would ask that the music either be turned down a bit or choose something other than Adele on repeat. Also if you sit near a corner, the any server that walks by that corner says "Corner!' I get it, but after the first 30 "corner's!" I was over it.
I have been to Melting Pot plenty of times at least once a month but we never come to this location. I was very disappointed, first our reservation was moved since they couldn't accommodate 2 burners (we had vegetarians dining with us). So after moving us to a later reservation our table was by the bar and the next best table was a huge table that we weren't even close to each other. Mind you there is only 4 of us and we were celebrating 2 birthdays. Not once did managers come by to see how we were doing, our server seemed new cause while making the cheese, he poured all the jalapenos in our fiesta cheese and all the garlic into our Wisconsin cheddar. I've been to melting pot so many times that many waitress and waiters have always asked if we want our fiesta mild, med, hot or have asked how much garlic we have wanted. Besides the cheese, our order came out wrong, had to ask for extra sauces different times, the length of cooking time wasn't explained to the table (mind you I don't need it but people who were with us have never been to Melting pot) It's very disappointing since it's not a cheap restaurant so for the price we paid this was the worse Melting Pot experience.
We were waited by Michael on November 5th. He was very courteous and kind and really listened to and assessed our needs. We had a Four-Course meal, which was amazing, and he was very knowledgeable about the procedures and the menu. Overall it was an amazing experience and I definitely will be going back again.
This was my first melting pot experience and I will not return. This service has alot of room for improvement. The hostess were not too welcoming. The bartender Josh was great. He checked on us frequently. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar while waiting for a table. We had a 10:15 reservation and were not sat until 10:35. The place was not busy enough for that long of a wait. Once seated our server seemed to be overwhelmed because his service was slow. Everything was a drawn out wait (except the check of course). While waiting for the check an employee screamed to another employee "where da weed at?" "Who smokes weed?" "I need some!" Another patron asked the employee to not say those things in front of his kids and the other employees just laughed. Not too pleased at all. I will not be returning here.
The time the waiter took to bring our meals was very long. Between the time we arrived and the time we left, 3 hours and a half had past. The waiter was nice and knowledgeable about the menu but he was so overwhelmed with so many tables to take care of that he could hardly get to our table to serve us. After a long time waiting for the bill, we had to asked another waiter to bring it. He brought us the wrong one. We ended up paying twice. They said we will get reimbursed for the one check we paid that wasn't ours. It was also overpriced. We did not have a nice experience at the melting pot this time. I don't think we will be going there for a while.
Great ambience, great service, great food. We had an 830p reservation. We were able to have one drink at the bar and then seated thereafter. Our server, Michael, was fabulous! This was a very different experience and restaurant than the one I had visited years and years ago in North Miami. Highly recommend.
Its a nice place, a little bit pricey...
The cheese fondue was delicious even though the bread was cold somewhat stale, the salads were good & fresh. The entree was ok,chicken was bland even though i got the herb chicken, steak was good as well as pork. Now to the chocolate turtle fondue it was delicious ..
We had Caprise as our waitress. She was great!!! Very attentive and great vibe. The food is what YOU make out of it. After all, you are the cook. LOL. Definitely not a place to take kids. We had a table close to us with some noisy kids and another table having a conference call on speaker when we first got in. Shouldn't be allowed but hey I'm not the boss.
