The new menu is easier to navigate. My child loves the shrimp on the kids menu. The cheese is really good. I prefer the white cheese over the orange. My two favorite desserts are the Banana Foster and S’mores. If we get the S’mores we change it to white chocolate instead of dark.

We were seated exactly at our 530pm reservation time and treated to a fabulous dinner. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable. Our daughter’s 21st birthday was very special. We love to celebrate with Melting Pot. Thank you!

Staff paid special attention to detail while answering our questions regarding the locale and history behind the building. Our birthday girl was doted on but we had to repeat requests for drinks, etc. many times and had an extended wait time for any bar orders (it was a Thursday, later evening meal so the bar was not very busy). The food was delicious except the salad portion seemed Sizzler-like quality (cheap ingredients).

Everything was beyond our expectations. So many excellent food choices. Really cool location too. My family has a new favorite restaurant!

This place is great every time I go. They also have a great happy hour. Such a unique place to eat, I love bringing people here who have never been.

The food was mediocre at best, the service very slow (not blaming the waitress, but the amount of walking and schlepping they have to do for table side prep isn’t conducive to efficient service).
The only things that were good, were the cheese and dessert course. You might as well sit at the bar, order a cheese fondue and perhaps a chocolate fondue (if you can do that there?) and skip the whole middle of the meal (salads/main dishes).
I’ve been wanting to go there for some time, but now I have it out of my system and I won’t be going back. It’s also expensive and just not worth it.

Very expensive. Service was good considering the restaurant has a constant turnover of servers. Alpine cheese fondue is our favorite, but it wasn’t as good this time.

Food took too long to come out after each course. Waitress was very good and accommodating but the overall course took 3 hours.

It takes way too long to eat there. The vegetarian plate isn’t that good.

Fun restaurant. The filet mignon and shrimp was super fresh and good quality. The Alpine cheese is our favorite, but it’s never made the same way. Very expensive.

The atmosphere was great and we had a cozy booth seat. The location has a lot of history so that was neat. I do think the pricing is obscene, especially when you're cooking your own food. I get it, it's the experience, but I wouldn't go back for dinner only...but would definitely do dessert only.

We always enjoy The Melting Pot and tonight was no exception. Our server was awesome, the food was excellent, and the drinks were strong. If you've been to another Melting Pot location, you are missing out if you haven't been to the one in Larkspur. The building is an old brick factory. Look it up and give it a try.

We went for Mother's Day. Our server Chom was great. We've been here before and enjoyed the meal with bouillon, which was nice, but this time we tried the oil as the restaurant suggested. The oil was, well, too oily. It made us all feel too bloated to enjoy our meals fully. Lastly, we were expecting the bill per person to be $40, but when we went it turned out they had special pricing for Mother's Day, $75 per person. It was quite a surprise.

The service at the Melting Pot was excellent! Our server spent a lot of time making sure that we understood the menu, and that we felt special. She never rushed us or rolled her eyes at all our first timer questions. We had a really great evening celebrating a Birthday! The food was good (you are served very generous portions of everything) and we really enjoyed how different of a dining experience we had. Thank you for the excellent time, I understand why people lovingly call this restaurant an institution.

This place is so cool! We came I for a birthday dinner and actually had a little bit of a rough start right off the bat, the menu is a lot to take in and kind of confusing so it took away from the enjoyment right away and added a little stress to the dinner but our server was so sweet and such a big help! She helped is pick out a 4 course option and from then on out we had an absolute blast!! The GM came over a few times throughout the night as well to make sure everything was running smoothly and I really liked that too! We cannot wait to come back to this place again and I would recommend this place to everybody! :)

we've been coming to the melting pot for several years as a favorite spot to celebrate my birthday and my very dearest friend's birthday.
unfortunately, the last few times we've come, the service has gone way down. the host team tried seating is right by the door when we arrived, despite my reservation request for a space that was a little more intimate and quiet. when I requested a different table, they put us in the back next to the kitchen door in between 2 families with small children. the restaurant is sizeable and there were MANY open tables. I understand that certain sections might be closed, but it was 730 on a Thursday night, prime dinner time...
our waiter was fine, tho EVERYTHING took significantly longer than it probably should have including my friend's birthday candle which came out about 15 minutes after we had our dessert on the table...
I think we might need to start looking elsewhere for our special occasion needs, unfortunately. we love the food, but unless some serious staffing changes are made, it just might not be worth the headaches any more.

Our first visit...it was an anniversary gift from friends! Loved it! Service was great, the meal was delicious and fun to cook the meat, chicken & prawns to our likeness, the cheese fondue was great and to top it off with a chocolate fondue! Since we are Swiss and know fondue very well, this was a close second!! Will definitely be back!

I went for a date night. It was nice we were seated in "lovers lane" which was nice. our server was nice however not sure if was completely familiar on cooking times for the dinner items we ordered. we had to learn the hard way. I would return maybe for appetizers and dessert. Not impressed with the dinner.

The server was not very attentive and did not give us the normal dining experience I expect at the Meting Pot. We were there for a very special birthday occasion and I had to remind the server to bring out a candle.

I've always loved this restaurant and especially this location. This occasion was a letdown. The server was difficult to find but was very friendly when she was with us. We asked for "night out for two", the only course that was adjusted was her bringing a second salad. When we mentioned it, she said it was too late to fix.

The Melting Pot is always great. We also had the BEST server--Laycee. She was really fun and interesting. Good idea to ask for her by name--it will seriously improve your meal--which is already really good!
