We thoroughly enjoyed our Mother's Day fondue dinner at The Melting Pot in Fort Myers. The four courses were all excellent - cheese fondue, salad, main course with steaks, chicken, shrimp & ravioli and then the chocolate fondue. It's a huge meal & SO tasty! Our waiter was excellent! Our only issue was that the hostess put us in the back at a table next to a very noisy group of 4 ladies...not in a booth as we requested. These ladies were extremely loud and only an arms length from us. The hostess was actually quite rude & would not move us anywhere else even though we had made our reservation 2-3 weeks prior. We then asked our waiter if we could move somewhere else & he found us a nice booth upstairs where is was much nicer & quieter. Anyway, we enjoyed our meal & will go back again BUT the hostess should be talked to about being more flexible & friendly. We saw booths downstairs that were empty but she would not let us have one of those. I am not sure what we did wrong to irritate her & have her treat us so rudely! Had the hostess been nicer, we would have given 5 stars across the board. It's unfortunate that she put such a damper on our Mother's Day meal at the very beginning.

The Melting Pot Fort Myers is one of the best you will ever eat at. This is due to the great people who work there, and make the experience so enjoyable. Our server Devin is simply the best! He always makes our night with his attention and just overall great service. Also, a big shout out to Chris the manager there who does an outstanding job! We have visited Melting Pot all over Florida and the US….This is definitely one of the best run restaurants in the entire system… Don’t miss it!

It was a perfect evening! Matt, our waiter, was phenomenal! He was kind, fun and knowledgeable. Our entire meal was exquisite and well presented. Matt was very attentive and accommodating. Perfect waiter, perfect meal, perfect night:-) to sum it up... I would eat here again, hands down, especially if Matt would be our waiter again next time. Regardless of how good a meal might be, you can't put a price on excellent customer service!

Matt was the perfect waiter. He explained how everything worked so well, was personable, attentive, and polite. I haven’t had that level of service in a while. The fondue meal was great and a lot of fun. The only thing I’d mention to work on is that I noted that we were celebrating a big birthday on my reservation and also asked the hosts when we got there to make sure our waiter knew about the birthday. The hosts said that they would and my friend would be taken care of. At the table my friend ended up mentioning that it was her bday and Matt said “thanks for letting me know Happy Birthday.” Then nothing ever happened after that. If you don’t celebrate birthdays then they should have told me that up front as I kept waiting for something to happen and was disappointed when it didn’t.

They forgot the Birthday experience. No balloons on the table. I had to remind the hostess and staff twice. They brought it at the end. The poor Birthday girls surprise was ruined. It’s been a tradition to go to melting pot and in the past made you feel very special and balloons were on table upon arrival. We normally love the restaurant but the level and quality of service overall has gone way down with all staff. It used to be an experience and now it seems like they want to rush you in and out and staff overall are only there because they have to be. Disappointed overall.

The food was amazing. I love that the bread and dipper plates are endless. However, our waiter was very slow to return to our table. We spent 20 minutes on 2 separate occasions waiting for a clean knife and then a dipper plate. We were constantly out of water to the point another waitress was filling them up for us. Then waited another 20 minutes for the check. Next time ask for the amazing waitress Camille who went above and beyond for someone who wasn’t even one of her tables!

Service was terrible. Long wait - almost 40 minutes just to get salads and one was wrong when it came. Server did not provide equal service to our table as he did with other guests at other tables. Those that arrived much later than we did were tended to quicker. Part of the food was missing when it arrived for entree course. During entree we were not checked on by the server. Hair or lint was found in the chocolate when delivered to the table. Not one time did management ever check on us or apologize for the issues we had during service.
