Food was ok, service not so much...
Went here after work ok a Friday with a coworker and my girlfriend. After sitting us at a table with only 1 pot, we requested and was given a bigger table with 2 pots
My husbands first time. Not your usual dining but we loved it.
The waitress was very nice and fun . My family enjoys the restaurant but I only go on special occasions because it is very expensive . If it was more affordable and there were specials more frequently i would go more than once or twice a year .
Food was delicious
Our waitress Ashley was amazing with the service she provided and suggestions on the menu.
Excellent cheese and chocolate fondues as well as Kobe sliders and chicken/shrimp satay. Nick the bartender was very nice and made the experience fun.
Awesome restaurant!! Our favorite
This was mine and my boyfriend’s third time here and it was amazing as always. I absolutely love the quiet, romantic environment. The food is always outrageous. Well worth the drive from Patchogue!
We were there for a birthday. I just found it weird cooking raw chicken with beef, fish etc. The food was good just wasn't crazy about the concept.
The server Keith was very friendly but gave very poor service. While explaining the format and cooking styles he not only confused us but appeared to confuse himself. He also forgot almost everything. When making the cheese fondue he forgot some of the ingredients, and rather than getting it, he stood there helpless and confused until another server came by, when Keith instructed them to get the ingredients as he continued to stand there doing nothing. After we were done with the fondue he forgot to turn the heat off so the left over contents began to burn. When ordering the fondue I asked for it “extra chocolatey” because it was my anniversary. When bringing out the fondue he forgot to bring the rose, and never did. He also forgot the lighter for the smores fondue. He even forgot the pen to sign the check at the end. After waiting almost ten minutes my girlfriend had to go get one from the front desk.
We had a wonderful experience at The Melting Pot Farmingdale. Marisa was our server, a sincere person, whom made us feel comfortable, relaxed and happy. She told us about her love of TMP and how after a couples of years of working there, she loves her job...and it really showed. We are going back in a few weeks for our anniversary.
Food is over priced for the amount of food you get.
Bill our waiter was great! It was my boyfriends birthday and he made it very special and fun!
Food, setting and service was outstanding. The only drawback to this place is that it gets very warm in there, to the point it is uncomfortable. Some improved ventilation would make 5 stars across the board.
Fantastic food and even better service. The waiter and waitress were so friendly and made the dining experience that much greater. Definitely going back soon!
This is a good place for a longer dinner in an intimate setting. You are basically locked into the 4 course experience because getting things ala carte is more expensive, although I imagine you could just get a cheese or dessert course if you wanted to.
Definitely an indulgence.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time here with my friends. I would definitely go back again. I have already been recommending it to people and they say that they will definitely go. The atmosphere is great for a date or a birthday gathering like I had. I will most definitely be going back with a different group of people.
We have been going to the Melting Pot for years and we love it. It started out that we were looking for a restaurant that would keep the kids quiet and a place where they would actually eat the food without fussing. My grand kids just love the Melting Pot and have invited them with their friends for birthdays and special occasions. They like the idea that they are actually cooking their own food. The dessert fondue is to die for!
Honestly I wonder if the staff hates when kids dine there or if it's a management issue. 2nd time I was disregarded with kids. It doesn't happen without them. I was given an attitude by the hosts twice. Arrived early for our reservation and still waiting 20 min past the time. Once we sat the service was horrible and so not attentive. It's not an adult only place - kids love it but your staff makes me uncomfortable every time I dine with my son. It's a horrible way to run a restaurant. Where are the managers? Never has one been present while I was there. So disappointing!!
Great food and great service!!!
The atmosphere was also wonderful!!!
Have been here several times and it's always so good. Great service, friendly staff, and delicious, fresh food. We usually do a three course meal, but this time we did a cheese fondue, salad, premium cured meat dippers and a chocolate dessert fondue. Everything was excellent and plenty of food even without the main entree. We'll be back.
This place is usually spot on. I love the food. This night for some reason
Love the staff
We were sat near a large party who were being very loud. Thankfully they were almost done when we sat down. But I did overhear two hostesses discussing how slow the restaurant was for a Saturday night, so we would’ve preferred to have been seated at a more private/quiet table.
It was so yummy this will always be my favorite restaurant I come here so often.
Joe H. is our favorite server and we always have a great time when we come here!
My wife and I went for dinner for our anniversary and truly enjoyed the experience.
A fun concept for a group... Make your own food and dip!
We weren’t rushed, every course was perfect, and we had just enough room for dessert. Can’t wait to go back.
Always a great experience - waiter was patience and food was delicious. Can’t complain about one thing!
As first timers we were super nervous about cooking our own food but our waiter made the experience worth while and very enjoyable. We will definitely come back.
Loved everything about the melting pot, how easy it was to make a reservation; how we were seated even though we were very early. The knowledge of our waiter Darwin and the attentiveness overall great first time.
Great food and a fun experience, definitely will go back again.
Table next to ours was intoxicated therefore very loud and inappropriate. I am assuming they were extremely short on waiters because it our waiter quite long to return after requests. On top of top since they were really busts and the check took a long time to come the cleaning staff started to clean our table while were still sitting there which was a bit irritating.
I spent over $150 to cook my own food. Not a fan. Let alone it wasn’t grilled it was boiled, so the meat was chewy. I wont go there for dinner again but I will say the cheese fondue and chocolate were amazing! So, I will be back for that. Drinks are good too.
Overall great place to celebrate a girls nite - bday! Drinks were great. Food good & great gluten free options. Only negative comment is the waitress did not ask if we were done with our cheese before giving us our 3rd choice & just took it away :(.
Everyone was great & attentive however while waiting for a table we had a drink at the bar & it took forever to get a drink. The bar wasn't crowded & there were 3 bartenders behind the bar. Then when our friends arruved, sane thing happened. Other than that it was a dining experience.
Was good, but expensive for melted cheese and chocolate.
Love this place--we got the meat lovers entree and cooked it in the mojo seasoning--for dessert we got the dark chocolate with fruit -- definitely going back! Very kid friendly too!
