it was great for my family. I will be revisiting at anytime when available.
I love the Melting Pot, great food and service. I love that its slower paced you actually have the oppprtunity to sit and talk, catch up and enjoy the intimate setting.
Our dinner at the Duluth Melting Pot was phenomenal. When I put our reservation in I asked for a two burner table and we were seated at a one burner table. Before we even got our drinks a manager came over and moved us to a two burner table. We didn’t ask to be moved, they just moved us. Then we ordered and were eating our cheese course and one of the bowls fell into the fondue pot. This has never happened to us before, so we were not really sure what to do. Before we could even think of how to get it up, another manager saw what happened and immediately took away that pot and made us a fresh pot of cheese. These two instances just show how much effort the staff puts into making sure the customers are happy and have a great experience; thank you Duluth Melting Pot!
Food was good service was excellent
We are repeat visitors to the Melting Pot in Duluth. My Daughters and I were celebrating a milestone Birthday and chose the Melting Pot, not only because we enjoy the fondue experience but also for the quiet atmosphere. We were looking for an opportunity to enjoy a unique dining experience as well as spend some quality time together. We had a wonderful 4 course meal that spanned over 2-1/2 hrs so we had plenty of time to converse and enjoy each others company. We went on a weeknight so the restaurant wasn't overly crowded and we never felt rushed to vacate our table so the next patron could step in. I will say that there have been some minor changes over the years that I'm sure were made to help keep cost to a more reasonable level but they were not significant enough that it impacted our experience. I would recommend The Melting Pot in Duluth for anyone celebrating a special occasion where they prefer a quieter atmosphere and don't want to be rushed. Unless you are going just for the dessert, the entire experience is typically 1-1/2 to 2 hrs.
Staff and management were wonderful. We had multiple delays and they adjusted our reservation. The table next to us became a bit boisterous (not to the point we wanted to complain, *just* at the limit where that might have been needed) and the manager apologized and comped us some extras for desert. That was not at all necessary but was greatly appreciated!
We got served water & the glass was broken my father drank out of it before I noticed it & our waiter threw out napkins on the table like they were frisbees. It wasn’t a great experience
The melting pot used to be a place I considered as a "special occasion- once a year splurge" location. I don't know what changed, but now people seem to go all the time, dressed very informally and being rude when they can't get a table right away without a reservation. This place is also now filled with loud young teens stuck to their phones, forever in selfie mode. I mean this place is not cheap! This new frequent clientele is making this place lose its once lovely ambience. I'm glad they are getting business, but I don't consider it a very romantic spot anymore. I was cautious to come to this location because our last experience at a different one was absolutely terrible. Luckily this location is still good, and is the only decent one left out of all the melting pots in my opinion, but it's on the edge. We requested a more private table for two, but the hoards of loud families and teens were pretty loud and obnoxious, plus the pot/stove was oddly very far out of reach for both of us. The food is still great, but they have heavily cut down the proportions from what they used to be, they even charge extra now if you want more dippers for the dessert which is disappointing. The waiter was great, but again the staff always seems like they are limited and thus rushed and stressed running from one table to another. Towards the middle/end of our dinner we definitely felt like we were being hurried out. Overall, it was a nice night out, I just worry about the future of melting pot.
The family had a wonderful time celebrating a 15 year old birthday. Service was great. Gwen did an outstanding job!
We had never been to the melting pot before and did not know what to expect, but the experience was amazing!!! We were celebrating our 20 wedding anniversary and had a larger budget than normal date. I would have to say it was worth every penny!! Our server named Christina was EXCELLENT! She was very helpful, enthusiastic and attentive, and the manager on duty came around and checked on us a couple of times. We were WELL taken care of ! I have already recommended the melting pot to several of my coworkers and friends.
The service was excellent by Remy and the food was great. Will difinalty be back.
First time going and we loved it. I would recommend reservations
Great expierence. The Turtle chocolate was our favorite. We will def be returning.
This was our first time there. We we beginners as far as the fondue experience and cooking styles. But our waiter, whom I struggle to remember (Javier?) was very helpful to our group of five. We got into the groove and enjoyed our time together.
My suggestion would be to change the table layout for groups. In a booth with 5 we were on top of each other. I was in the middle on one side and it was frustrating. Each person on my sides reaching over me as we had two different pots the table was using. They bring so much to the table there is just no room. I had to keep moving my drink out of the way. That all could go away with table layout changes.....I mean fondue is an experience and an expensive one at that for a family of five.
Overall we were celebrating an accomplishment of our teenagers and for them it was fun. That's all that matters. So we we Happy.
Great experience and our waitress was great very energetic and informal with our first time dining
Seated our party of 6 promptly. We had a reservation. The booth would have seated 4 comfortably, was designed for 5, and we crammed 6 people into it. It was a packed house so they could not relocate us. Service was relatively poor (30 minutes to get drink order, 45 minutes for salads, empty glasses, table was absolutely cramped). This was more of an anomaly as I have dined at this location probably 10 times and it is usually much better. Food was good as always. It took us 3 hours to eat and that was on the restaurant and not us lingering. ~$150 for 3 glasses of wine, and 2 four course dinners between my wife and I. Lackluster experience tonight, but please give them a chance as I have had more positive experiences there than this negative one.
I had been to The Melting Pot in Boca Raton, FL 20 years ago. Prior to that in Coral Springs, FL 25 years ago. It all came back to me why I don't go there. I guess if your looking for something totally different, this could be your kind of place. I just prefer to not have to cook my own food when I dine out. I only went there to appease my adoring wife who enjoys fondue. For the record, she did enjoy her meal but would have preferred a different broth. (she ordered the coc au vin) I had the wedge salad...huge let down & very poorly done. They toss two pieces of precooked bacon on the wedge, some thin ranch dressing and three slices of tomato. the cheese fondue was good, but clearly not worth the $19.00 for 4 oz of cheese, 1/2 an apple, a cup of stale bread, 3 cherry tomatoes, two pieces of par cooked broccoli & the pieces of carrot.
I understand a meal like this is about the experience. If you like the experience of eating in a dining room that smelled like heavy grease, you will love this place.
The manager of the restaurant seemed pleasant enough. The server was very knowledgeable, clear, concise and pleasant as well. All in all, if your looking for a different food experience, don't mind touching raw meat as you eat this could be the place for you. I can't imagine it would be anyones "goto" place to dine, but it's certainly worth trying at least once. I have been told I am overly critical and a food snob, so this review is worth what you paid for it.
My boyfriend and I went for date night and loved it. Our server Kayla was very nice, attentive and knowledgeable. She didn't hover and came to check on us at appropriate times. We will absolutely be coming back!
We went with our kids on Sat night. I didn't like the open table they gave us. It was open to another table behind us and there was no privacy as people constantly walked by us. It was also very loud and when our server and the adjoining server were talking at once it was very hard to hear. That being said, the food was great and the server was also very attentive. We would come back but not if we had to sit in that seat again. It's very expensive to not have a private table.
My husband just came back from his work out of town so we celebrated Valentine’s Day a few days later. We had a bottle of Greystone Merlot and the Big Night Out- we were so stuffed we could have rolled out of there, but everything was delicious. Our waiter Sung was amazing and he even taught me how to make a stuffed tempura mushroom- i have been to melting pot numerous times since 2002 and he is the first waiter who taught me something and was super efficient and upbeat. we had a wonderful time.
I’ve been to other Melting Pot locations in the past. This one is one of the better locations. Went here for Valentines Day. Great menu options. The staff and management were welcoming and great. They made us feel like special guests. Would come here again.
My girlfriend and I went for the 7th anniversary of dating. We also got engaged that same day and the Melting Pot made the day very special. The staff were very attentive to our needs and seemed genuinely happy for us both.
We had not been to Melting Pot in years, but it felt very much the same as it did 20+ years ago. The service was great, and the food (when we cooked it correctly) was terrific! We had enough people (5) such that we had two burners, which was great because we could get two kinds of cheese, two kinds of entree pots, and two kinds of chocolate! The kids' meals were priced reasonably and fun for them, and my wife and I ended up splitting a 4-course meal, which worked out to be just the right amount of food for us and also helped offset the expense. This is a slow-paced meal, you might finish in two hours or it might go longer. If you are mentally prepared for that, you won't feel like it is dragging on. Fondues just take a while. It was a little hard to remember cooking times for everything, you may want to take some notes! Overall a fun and enjoyable experience, I know we will be back!
Atmosphere was out of date, the restaurant was boiling hot and the food was mediocre. Neat idea but could have gone anywhere else and gotten a much nicer meal for $160.
Great food, great service & lots of fun.
Over priced for what you get . I’m glad I went for the experience, but it’s one and done at that price . I don’t mine paying , if I’m getting what I’m paying for .
Had a wonderful night. Was our very first visit and we loved it. Michelle was very attentive and really went out of her way to help us first timers. The manager was also very professional with his visits to our table.
We had an excellent dinner this Saturday and the food was good as always. We were very distracted, though, by the seating hostess who appeared to be the manager. He reprimanded several employees loudly and publicly. It was very unprofessional, especially considering we could hear them both times. Again, our service was overall excellent but I was disappointed at the management style.
I like the Atlanta location better then the Duluth
Very nice! Excellent service. Would dine there again.
Nothing good to say about anything. Food made us sick as hell.
Went for a Birthday Dinner. It was exceptional. Ordered way to much food. Server Christina was awesome. Never had a bad meal. I do miss the Mushroom Salad.
The entree was plain not much flavor. But the cheese was good though
Wonderful place, very magical, delicious, and quite the positive experience. The staff was very knowledgeable, attentive, and super friendly.
This was my first visit and I really enjoyed it. The menu options were a little confusing because of the mix of “four course meal” options and ala carte options. As a result of the confusion my wife didn’t get her salad. But I all-in-all I really liked it and will definitely try it again!
Awesome! Super fun experience and great food! Wish we had one in Auburn, Al!!
I was very disappointed in the decline of this restaurant. I have been a number of times before but it has been several years since I've been to the Duluth location and I was shocked at the difference in decor and ambiance. It has obviously been re-painted and all around the tables and corners of the walls you could see the old paint showing through. The bathroom had holes in the walls where previous fixtures had been and had not been patched or painted. The lighting at all Melting Pots I have visited has been dim and romantic. This had glaring light even though it was late evening by the time we finished dinner. I will not be visiting this location again.
Our waitress was awesome! She was very knowledgeable about gluten free items. The food was great.
Great Food Great Service Great Wine selection. Melting Pot is consistently excellent in service and quality!!!
