The Melting Pot - Darien Ratings and Reviews
Portions are very small for the price. Quality of food is mediocre - in particular for the prices. Always seem to be understaffed (had to go find our waiter a couple of times.) If you want fondue it is the only choice you have in the area - it is what it is.
It was first time there and from the minute I sat down they walked me through the menu, different options, how to order. The food is good, and I left more than full. Great place for something new, and I will be going back. Great service! You will not be sorry.
We had first dined at a Melting Pot while on a trip several years ago & hadn't been back but I'm so happy I got the idea to go! Hubby & I had a perfect date night ... the tables are cozy but not cramped, the waitress was very knowledgeable about all the menu items, it wasn't a loud atmosphere so we could talk at a reasonable level & the food was as delicious as I remembered!! I also love that we never felt rushed! The food is amazing & fun! You won't be disappointed!
My husband and I went there for the first time after hearing word of mouth it was a great place to go to. We went on a Saturday night in the summer, they sat us immediately, not too many people, the noise level was low so it provided a good atmosphere. The first service was very polite and explained to us how the menu works. Our server was very knowledgeable, responsive and kind. We enjoyed every minute of our experience! We can't wait to go again!
We have been to this location several times and have always had a great experience. This time did not go well. The food was outstanding as always but sadly it wasn't enough to make up for the lousy server. He was hell-bent on rushing us even after we explained that we were celebrating and wanted to take our time. Our entree come out before our salads. He dropped the check before we had even finished our dessert. Then when I opened the check I noticed I had been charged for 4 sangria's when I had ordered the sangria with the brunch which says it's endless? All in all just a very disappointing experience.
My family and I come to Melting Pot Darian atleast 2-3 times a year for celebrations and special occasions and I have honestly never had a bad meal here. Sometimes it seems like the service can take a while but with everything the servers have to prepare it's really understandable. I never thought going out to eat and cooking your own food could be so enjoyable and so tasty. I recommend it to everyone.
The food was fine. The service was terrible. It was an unlimited menu. The server never came back. Had to go ask the hostess for help. Gave them two gift cards that I couldn't use. They only gave me one back. Had to get someone to find it for me. Overall wasn't a good experience considering the price
I love The Melting Pot. Normally I would go just to enjoy the cheese and chocolate courses which are reasonably priced and delicious with several options. For this visit I went for the endless lobster. The menu has well thought out choices and the food is delicious if not a little pricey. But if you can eat a lot it's worth it! The service was great and I also love the ambience. It's at least an hour drive for me but worth it for at least an annual visit!
Enjoyed the four course meal with wine pairing. We have been here before and enjoyed our time here again. Food was very good, we enjoyed the Wisconsin trio cheese Fondue and the mojo cooking style. We enjoyed the dark & dulce chocolate fondue for dessert. The wine pairings were great and really complimented the different courses. It was a little noisy by our table and distracting, but overall a great experience and we will be back.
