We hadn't been to the Melting Pot in a long time, and certainly not since our location's remodel and the menu changes. The renovation is beautiful and tastefully well done (my only issue was the two person booth we were sitting in - I kept hitting my elbow on the wooden divider between us and the next table, so that was a bit annoying. Could've used a piece under the glass partition that was maybe a bit slimmer so as not to have this issue, but it was a minor inconvenience). The food menu updates were good - we got pieces of pretzel bread and seasoned small potatoes with the Wisconsin Cheddar fondue, and instead of broccoli like we were expecting with our mushrooms and potatoes with our Traditional Oil cooking style, we got sliced zucchini. I loved it, especially dipped in the tempura batter (which, thank you for getting rid of the sesame batter that I rarely saw anyone use, and bringing a bigger bowl for the tempura!). Without the batter, it's great with a smear of Green Goddess on just the cooked zucchini. We were scraping the bottom of the bowl because we love to have our shrimp, chicken, and my husband loves the Green Goddess mushrooms - next time, we'll ask for 2 bowls lol! And just the teriyaki sauce and Green Goddess, since those are the only ones we use and like. Service from Tyler was excellent, the bartender came to make sure of my mocktail order (I had the Cranberry Brunch Punch, switching out the pineapple for lime juice, and even he liked it as he - like bartenders do to check the flavoring - had tried it), and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. A great place to kick off my 40th birthday celebrations this weekend!

We came for 614 resturant week. This establisment had no intention of honoring the advertised deal. They presented the regular menus, when we inquired about resturant week the server stated that our she would have to see if they had any of those menus available. After I showed her the menu on my phone she then stated sorry you can't have those options. We got up and left. This was an option for the resturant to participate. In the future I reccomend that they just don't sign up.

Food was fantastic. Staff was very nice and checked in with us regularly (but not too much). Manager even came around each table and was checking in with everyone and making sure everything was good. Definitely planning on coming back.

Our server disappeared for long stretches, had to flag someone else to come help when we went 30 minutes between the end of the cheese fondue to was waiting for the meat course to come

Joey was attentive and efficient and a delight to interact with. We ordered the artichoke spinach cheese course—our favorite from many excellent options, Caesar salads, pacific rim main with coq au vin broth, and flaming turtle to end a sumptuous meal. Honestly, for the chocolate course you can just close your eyes and pick an option—you’ll be well-pleased no matter your choice. Extra note—My daughter loves the blackberry sage lemonade here.

The Melting Pot is the one place where you can blame yourself if your meal isn't cooked right. There was nothing wrong with our food. Although nice, our server was forgetful, overbearing, talked over us, and didn't give us time to put our thoughts together when the bill came. I don't want someone hovering over me while I'm calculating a tip, or in our instance, trying to pick up our invited guests' separated check while hoping they'd cover gratuity. Our server made the evening awkward, but we had a great time making our dinners.
