Cheese, and salad was really good. Didn't care for the entree. You cook your own food in broth or oil. Everything had different cooking times. We didn't order dessert. We will go back, but just for cheese, drinks, and dessert. We celebrated our anniversary and it was just ok.
I got together a large group of 9 girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. The staff was very attentive, funny, and willing to answer any and all questions. The food was outstanding. You MUST get the chocolate fondue at the end, it 'makes' the whole experience. They even had a birthday card waiting on the table. The ambiance is fancy, but not necessary to dress formal. It was quiet enough that we could all hear each other without yelling. It was a wonderful night!
It was awesome.
My wife and I went to The Melting Pot for our 9th Anniversary. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. I recommend a bottle of wine and have a good 2 hrs to enjoy yourselves.
This was our first time at Melting Pot and we were all impressed! The Restaurant Week deal included a cheese, salad and main entree. We chose a beer cheddar cheese and enjoyed it with apples, bread and pretzel pieces. The sauces that came out with the entree were unusual and we liked trying them all. Unlimited vegetables with the entree really made for a great deal! Of course, we ended the night with the dark chocolate dessert - dipping fruit and brownies and lots of other tasty items in. Our group of three girls agreed that we will return to the Melting Pot for another girls night out! Make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to really enjoy the experience - we were surprised that dinner took almost 3 hours!
Food was delicious and the server was very attentive. Had the restaurant week deal and it was so worth it.
We enjoyed our time at The Melting Pot. It was our first experience with fondue and we had a great time!
The food was great and it was a fun experience! It is definitely worth the money. My salad was delicious and the fondue was amazing.
Our booth was in main hall which wasn’t the best place with people constantly walking by. Service was okay this time-usually very good! Overall good experience and will return
The restaurant needs some updating but other than that it’s a very unique experience and wonderful service.
We went for a birthday dinner that was special. They did a special setup with rose petals and a floating heart shaped candle. It was lovely
Restaurant week special was just great. Plenty of food artfully presented.
Wonderful dinner and waitress was great "Lacey?'. The check however is always a killer.
This is my favorite restaurant. It's expensive, but worth it. The food is delicious, and the fondue experience is unlike any other. They have various steak and chicken options, but also seafood and veggies for your main course. Plus you can always add a salad, and the cheese and chocolate alone are worth the visit. The service is always excellent. The lighting is very dim, which creates a very nice atmosphere, but could be considered a negative to some. It's the only thing I can think of worth pointing out as a negative.
Our server was wonderful
I was excited to try the melting pot out during restaurant week. The decor is quite dated and looks like in bad need of a renovation. You probably can't find another restaurant in cincinnati charging $25-50 per meal that is so dated and lackluster decor.
It sounded like a great deal for $25 per person for restaurant week so we went. The 1st course cheese fondue was fine. It was good, but not amazing. The salad 2nd course was fantastic.
However the main course with filet, teriyaki sirloin, pork, and potstickers were all pretty unimpressive. The quality of the meats were low grade. In fact for a filet mignon, it was the worst i've ever had. It wasn't 'bad', but I've rarely had one that wasn't amazing, and this sure was not.
Overall, If i was going to spend Over $20 on a dinner, there are plenty of options that are much higher quality. I can't see myself going back unless for just dessert. If all the items were incredible tasting, I'd be happy to pay more, but there was nothing special about the food.
Such a fun time. My wife and I really enjoyed our service. Everyone was so unbelievably great to us. Constantly checking and being helpful to us. Loved every second of it.
Overall good amount of food that was all pretty good, but nothing specially really. Biggest issue was that we got a 3 course meal (cheese appetizer, salads, and entrees) but they skipped our salad course. When we mentioned it we were told they could make up for it with desert. That sound great and everything was fixed, except for we were billed for the desert. When asked they said it was because they just made it a desert for 1 instead of 2?? Kind of put a damper on the experience, didn't make sense how we weren't given food then charged for extra food we were told was to "make it up to us".
Always an excellent dining experience! Delicious food, wonderful service, worth every penny.
The food was ok, it was fun to do fondue. However for the price I have had much better food and wine for a fraction of the price. Our dinner was about 180.00 for two of us. We got the 4 course set meal and a bottle of wine. The wine was a 32 dollar bottle that tasted like a two buck chuck. The restaurant looked like it had not been updated in quite some time. Food quality I would say was in line with a place like Red Lobster, not great but not bad. I felt that the meal really should have been more around the 100/120 dollar range. It was not fine dining but a fine dining price tag.
Went for a 1-year anniversary dinner with my girlfriend (a followup to a Valentine's Day group dinner that was also fantastic). Had the Big Night Out 4-course dinner. The food was incredible and our waiter, Marty, was fantastic - Both charming and entertaining without being overbearing. Made for a wonderful dinner to mark the occasion. Try the Whiskey Thistle! A very tasty little cocktail and quickly becoming a favorite in my circles.
Ariel is wonderful as always and thrilled when she is working!! She is friendly, efficient and makes us feel special since we come so often.
Our evening was wonderful and the bacon mushroom cheese fondue was amazing!
My husband and I have been here before with different couples but this was the first time that we actually dined by our self. It was very nice! The food as always was fabulous. I love to go there because it is just a different way to have your meal served to you. Because you’re preparing the meal yourself you have a lot of time for conversation and it was very nice. The waitress Shelby was excellent she answered any question that we had and was very alert to our needs. As you can see in my pictures the first one is the Wisconsin cheddar cheese fondue. They give you fresh vegetables different breads and granny Smith apples to dip in it and it is excellent. My second photo is the s’mores chocolate fondue I recommend this if you like s’mores!
Our waiter, Jim made the entire experience excellent.
The food was absolutely amazing, our waiter was fantastic and friendly, and my boyfriend really loved it; which was the goal! He has dubbed it our official anniversary spot.
The food was delicious and our server was amazing. We'll definitely be back.
Overall, it was a great experience. A bit pricey for small portion sizes. The service was great, ambiance was nice.
Server was great. Food was great. Just a little pricy
Went for the Easter Special and it was excellent!
Great place to celebrate any occasion. Coco, our server, was delightful! We didn't feel rushed and savored every morsel!
Easter dinner- very good experience..not bad for kids- our server Titus is the man!
Good experience. Waitress and manager went out of way to address an issue and we appreciated it a lot
Marty was a fantastic waiter for our meal. He didn’t take himself too seriously, which allowed for some good-humored banter throughout the entire experience. The food is delicious and the ambience was great for a more romantic evening.
Celebrating early Easter and wanted to participate in a dine to donate. Our food was good as always and our waiter was exceptional!
Great fun experience. Servers were were very attentive and knew the menu well. McKenzie was awesome and helped with great menu choices. Was so much food, I would skip the entree course and stick to the cheese and dessert. So good!!
Usually a great experience but this time it took 3 hours, you got charged to substitute chicken for shrimp, the herb crusted chicken was not great, the cost for the tiny dishes and bites is really expensive and the waiter was not thrilled to go get us more bread and veggies. They sat 6 of us at a booth and it made it very difficult to get to both pots. No longer worth the cost for what you get.
This place never fails to incorporate you and your oartner into decisions for food! The have great waiting staff that knows the menu very well, what tastes good with what, and what doesnt go with a certin food. The lighting is very dim for a romantic evening out, or for those special occasions. Highly recommend for those first date couples. It takes about 2 hours for the 4 course meal, not too expensive. Gives you the perfect amount of time to get to know someone! Keep up the good work "The melting pot" cincinnati!!
The food was very good and our server was very nice. She gave us our appetizer for free due to the amount of time we were waiting.
