Waited 45 minutes to be seated even after having a reservation. Not the best experience and overall service was very slow.
Had dinner at Melting Pot for a special date and was not disappointed! Service was friendly and welcoming, and absolutely attentive. The waitress took her time explaining the menu, and made sure we got exactly what we wanted.
We ordered the Big Night Out and were not disappointed. The chicken was nothing special but everything else was incredible and the Lavender Tea was great. Dessert was the Flaming turtle and it was lovely.
Well worth the money and we'll be back!
Celebrated my wife's birthday with kids. Great food, fun, and service. Always a great special occasion destination. I do wish they could do something to improve the exhaust, but maybe that's to be expected with fondue.
Waiter was awesome and lots of fun. The food was very average and over priced. Cocktail prices were also too expensive. It was a different experience but I doubt I will return.
Unfortunately, we had a very bad first impression :-( Our reservation was for 8:30 and when we walked in, there was a large crowd of people in the lobby. I thought that maybe a large party was leaving and just chatting before heading out into the cold night. We soon found out we were very wrong. After waiting for 5 minutes at the check in (we began to think that maybe we there was some place else to check in) a woman walked up and asked if we had reservations. We told her 8:30 and she smiled and said, ok, you are all checked in. The crowd of people was still there so I politely asked how long it would be since I had assumed that if you make a reservation for 8:30 that you won't be waiting long. She smiled and said, there are a lot of people ahead of you but people are starting to leave. We were not starving so we headed to the bar to get a glass of wine. We had seen a bartender there but as soon as we walked up and asked for help, he said just a minute and left. After waiting 5 minutes and hearing another couple say to each other that they had been waiting for over 45 minutes, we left. Extremely disappointed and hoping that maybe this was just an off night for them. No plans to return any time soon though as we have plenty of great restaurants to choose from in Cincy :-)
Had a wonderful time. It was my first experience and my server, Sean, was fantastic. He was very personable and remembered things we had spoke of early in our meal. Would definitely go back.
We have been here several times, and usually have a good experience. However, service was slow, and our server was switched partway through. We had to wait for utensils, salad dressing, and drinks. Server was pretty sloppy, altho he was nice. I had informed them of it being my husband’s birthday, but no one acknowledged it. Very disappointed.
We had a 25% off coupon that apparently was for the Dayton location. Disappointed that they would not accept it. They were also under staffed for the amount of people so the service was not what it should have been. Not sure that we will go back - at least to this location.
Food was good, service was poor. I understand the unique pressure that serving fondue provides, but refills were sparse, the mixed drink we ordered never was entered nor never arrived. Entree course was a little late. Overall we enjoyed ourselves, but many things worked against us.
Worst of all was attempting to maneuver with a toddler in arms through the crowded "center" of tables. If more than one table was setting up a new course, it was hard to get past. Once child was in her high chair, it felt that she was in the way of our server and other servers. Leaving the dining room was just as treacherous with child in my arms.
Next time we think about coming to The Melting Pot, we will have to leave baby behind or simply wait until she's bigger.
Great gluten-free dining experience. On the pricey side but worth it for a milestone 18th birthday for my daughter with celiac disease. It's been hard to find a restaurant that takes gluten and cross-contamination issues seriously since her diagnosis, but The Melting Pot does without sacrificing quality or taste. The service was excellent as usual. Well done Melting Pot!
