The food this time was better than average with the sauces making up a little for the poor cuts of meat. the service was substandard for the price point of this restaurant. She forgot a few things, was slow on refreshing our drinks and blamed the kitchen for the wrong dessert. The only reason we still tipped her 20% was because of the possibility of another Covid-19 major outbreak that might shut down this and other restaurants. the considerable uniqueness of this restaurant is the only reason we would consider going back, not because of the quality of the food or the service which seems to be lackluster every time we go!
Lacklusterevening, Thanks for reaching out and providing us with your feedback. We appreciate your support of our restaurant and will certainly take your feedback and use it to improve. If you would like to reach out ot me at email@example.com I would love to be able to hear a little more about your visit. Thanks again. Thomas R. - Owner
Very disappointing experience. I think I could have melted a block of Velveta cheese in a pot at home and it would have been more exciting.
Our server was apathetic and unmotivated. Our cheese was plopped down in front of us ... we didn’t even get our drinks until mostly halfway through our service. The same was the case for the charcuterie... which also came well after the cheese.
Overall very underwhelming and disappointing service . Not at all worth the money. Historically - this has been a place we go to celebrate- But not anymore... this place felt depressed and sad.
Anonymous, Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. Our most sincere apologies that you feel Velveta would be more exciting than our restaurant. I would love to hear a little more about your experience. Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would be willing to chat. Thanks again. Thomas R. - Owner
Great food, great service. Tables felt a little close together.
I requested for wine and picture but they never did gave them presented as well the waitress wasn’t prepared to serve our food. Very disappointed
Very nice meal!
Other than having to wait 30 min past our reservation time, everything was great!
Everything was great, Kids really enjoyed their first fondue experience!
We love this place but only go for special occasions. They are pricey but worth it. I think everyone should try them at least once.
Birthday! Thanks for a fun way to have my parents enjoy being “out” and having a great food connection!
Extremely overpriced with very small portions.
Average $50.00 per person to cook your own food and still be hungry when you leave.
Sever seamed new possibly, not as interactive as past severs on previous occasions.
Took a minute to get waters even after we ordered bar drinks.
Also wife ordered more of a certain dipper and server brought a different one.
The server didn't really come around much and he seemed as if he was not too excited to be working.
Love Ariel and Coco! Always make me and my daughter welcomed and taken care!
It was good overall. We hadn't been in years. We did feel like the portions are smaller than before, and the food quality went down a little. We like the remodel, but it was fun before because it was more private with gluten tall booths. Still fun, and the food was still good. Dessert was the best! The Smore is our favorite. Service was great!
It was our first time dining at the Melting Pot and it was a good experience.
A little different experience due to pandemic protocols but still just as special with wonderful service and excellent food.
After an amazing visit last month, my friends and I headed back to the melting pot in anticipation of another stellar dining experience. Unfortunately this dining experience will keep us from returning for a while. The food was ok and although it was a busy night our server, Brandon, must have been having a bad night. We had requested Ariel since she was amazing, attentive without being invasive, kind and efficient. The process took 4 hours. Granted we were seated 25 minutes late..... it was sweetest day and there was a proposal happening (fun!)! Yet dinner should have been a 90 minute process. Once things go down hill, it seems every little thing is a problem.... waiting for water refills, long waits between courses, dirty dishes sitting for long periods of time.... truly lacking for the expectation of what melting pot offers.
Anonymous, Thanks so much for your feedback and we sincerely apologize your experience did not go as it should have. If you wouldn't mind discussing it further, please email me at Thomas.email@example.com - Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you. Thomas R. - Owner
It was ok! Apparently they were short staffed so the restaurant was running SUPER behind. Had made reservations and waited over an hour to be sat. The server was great but the wait was quite inconvenient!
It would be nice to have a more romantic table since it was a special occasion. I ordered a glass of wine and had to wait for a clean glass. It took 25 mins to finally get a glass for my wine. Waiter forgot we ordered the chauctier with our cheese fondue. We were comped with the garlic seasoning. We always love the melting pot and will be back! Just a off night.
Overpriced. Went for the experience mainly. Cheese was the best part
Amazing experience...took my boyfriend who is meat and potatoes guy here for his birthday dinner. I was nervous it would be too weird for him, but he loved it! We were there during restaurant week, so we got 3 courses: cheese fondue (ummmm...can I say deliciousness!), then a yummy salad, next our main entree, which consisted of steak, shrimp, chicken and pork. Of course, we had to get some dessert and opted for the classic chocolate PB fondue which was to die for. Our server B. Foster, was great! I would highly recommend for date night or any special occasion!
Took my husband here to celebrate his birthday. It was a very nice experience.
We have been to melting pot in the past and have had flawless experience. However last night was the complete opposite. We made reservations for 7:15 and arrived at 7:00. Knowing that we were early we expected to wait. The hostess told us there was a 20-25 minute wait. I said okay and asked if that was 20-25 after our reservation or from when we arrived. She said it was 20-25 minutes from when we arrived. We said ok that’s not bad we aren’t in a hurry. We checked in with her at 7:50 to see what was going on and she said there were 2 more names on the list in front of us. We said okay, confused because we had a reservation but continued to wait. We were finally seated at 8:10. Over an hour after we arrived.. and the waiting just continued from there. Our server was very personable but was extremely busy. It seemed as he was given our table randomly as he wasn’t serving any of the tables around us. We put our order in and it took almost a half hour for our cheese to come out. The manager came over and brought us waters, even though I wasn’t drinking water, but that was fine. I appreciated him bringing us a refill of any sort. We waited another 30 minutes for our salads to come out. My husbands salad did not come with a dressing on it like it was supposed to so we wanted roughly 25 minutes from the server to come back and check on us so we could ask for dressing and my tea that he had forgotten about when he dropped off the salads. Finally my husband says whatever I’ll just eat the salad plain and starts eating it. The server then comes back (around 35 minutes after he dropped off the salads) to see how they taste and we ask him for some dressing and he apologized and said they are supposed to come with the dressing on it. We finish the salads and wait another 25 minutes for the server to bring our pot of broth and sit there and wait roughly 30 minutes with the broth boiling in front of us for the meat to come out. Dinner took over 4 hours because of all the waiting
Overall a great date night location. All four courses are excellent.
Food as always was fantastic.
Our server knew her menu and was able to instruct us well.
COVID measures were in place and followed.
We WILL be back
Great value during Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week. Remodel is awesome and so glad I could share my experiences with family.
This is always a favorite place to "catch up" with an old friend or two.
Quiet, relaxed atmosphere, unhurried delicious food--- ready to talk!
Had a great experience celebrating my wife’s birthday!
Service was really slow. They did comp 2 of our drinks for the long wait, which was much appreciated. We still feel like service has definitely not been great the last 3 times we’ve been there.
our waiter was very nice and he was very patient with us. we had a lot of amazing laughs tonight
Wait staff was super nice and helpful. The food was out of this world.
We went to celebrate our anniversary. We requested a booth with our reservation and we got one, which made our dinner a lot nicer. The restaurant was clean and all the staff were wearing masks. The staff was very attentive as always.
The food was great as always but I asked for the birthday strawberries on my open table reservation and they did not have them. I also ordered the yin yang chocolate fondue and they came out with the s’mores one instead.
Unfortunately not one of our best experiences here. Service was just off. We waited extremely long times for refills, food, and condiments. If she remembered at all to bring. Luckily we have been there before and have experienced better nights.
Great Birthday meal. Social Distancing and masks we're strictly followed. We appreciate it!
First time for me and my family. Went for a birthday. Wait staff was friendly and pretty on the spot, but the cheese fondue never got hot, the chicken was way over seasoned, and the chocolate desert was OK. We did the $49/person 4 coarse and it is a TON of food and I just wasn't that impressed for the price.
It was fun to experience once, but folks got flustered on how long to cook what in the Fondue Pot, and after a while it became a chore. Likely wouldn't go again.
It was our first time and we absolutely loved it! Thank you very much!
Alex was the best server we have ever had. The food, drinks and service were excellent. We can not wait to go back.
Had a great time for a girls night out, food was great, our server Alec was fabulous. I personally could do a double cheese appetizer, salad & dessert & would be completely satisfied, the middle part doesn’t interest me all that much but then again I’m a veggie person. Alec did recommend the coq au vin cooking preparation & it was a nice choice. Perfect for a girls gossip session with wine & cheese or a romantic date night just please keep your phone timer volume on low people!
