Every time we go there are new things to try! It's now a tradition to celebrate our wedding anniversary (5 years and running) at the Melting Pot in Charlottesville, VA. Everything is always delicious and the staff is always very polite and accommodating..

It was a really neat experience! My husband and I enjoyed it a lot. I do wish the bathrooms were in a different location, I got hit in the face by a tray full of food while waiting to use it. The server did apologize and was sincere, it just hurt. We still will come here again. The service was great, wonderful staff!

Had a great time. There was one small issue with a sauce that was bad and had to be sent back, but overall everything was good.

We went to celebrate our anniversary and the service staff greeted us with a "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY" then there was a card at our table signed by the staff. Very touching!
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very cozy and romantic. We had a fantastic time.

I've never eaten at a Melting Pot before, and might be 35-40 years away from my last fondue, but this provided a generous and lovely Easter Dinner. We both shared the Land and Sea mix, and the Quattro Formaggio cheese. It was all fine, service was good, there was more than we could eat. The coq au vin cooking 'medium' smelled and tasted great, and the chocolate fondue at the end (flaming turtle) was a brilliant ending. It's pricey but it's a long patient meal, which felt gracious and comfortable.

We felt pressured to purchase a bigger, more expensive meal than we wanted. Also we were charged incorrectly. The special promo we came for was left off the bill. They promptly fixed the problem, but it wasn't relaxing feeling pressured during our visit.

Our server Amy was so sweet! She was new and it showed a little but she was super down to earth and did a really good job explaining the menu to us.

The fondue was great but we weren’t a huge fan of the meats. Our cooking broth overtook the flavor of most of the entree.

Dessert was absolutely amazing.

Have a wonderful evening with my date. Ordered flowers that were there upon arrival. Wonderful evening.

The restaurant seems to be after the higher end customers. There was a large selection of wine and alcohol. The meals were great with the exception of small meat portions.

Wonderful evening celebrating our birthdays (mine and my best girlfriend). Kat was our server and she was lovely - very personable and made recommendations that were perfect for our tastes and the occasion. Zale also helped serve us (refiled our water glasses and worked in the kitchen - made our chocolate fondu) and was absolutely a delight. We had an absolutely positive experience. This was the second year that we drove 1.5 hours to C'ville for this "experience" to celebrate our birthdays and will make it an annual tradition. Thanks, Melting Pot, and especially thanks to Kat and Zale who made our evening exceptionally enjoyable and worth the drive up!

Super waiter, outstanding service!

The Melting Pot is perfect for a night out. The service was amazing and the whole eating experience is super fun and tasty. Because it is a bit pricey, the Melting Pot is perfect for special occasions.

Clay took such good care of us. We were celebrating a hard week of work and put that on the reservation. He mentioned that and asked us about what we do immediately. He answered every question intelligently and gave wonderful suggestions. The manager, Derek, came and checked on us as well. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Amazing. So impressed with the staff. They not only had our table ready when we arrived about 10 minutes early, but they had a card on the table for our Anniversary. It was romantic, they congratulated us multiple times, and had excellent service. We will be coming back for future anniversaries. Was not a huge fan of the cocktails but loved the food

Amazing drinks and wonderful service. From the moment we walked in the door till we walked out it was a great experience. Had never had fondue before the server was great at explaining and making sure our evening there was amazing! I would strongly recommend stopping by for a few drinks and dinner!

We went for a friend's birthday. We had a terrible experience. There were 7 of us and they seated us in a booth for 6 and put a chair on the end. The server was rude. He complained his back hurt and he couldn't reach the second burner. One burner did heat very well and it took more than 4 minutes to cook our meats and vegetables.

Menu was too confusing, girlfriend and i decided that for what we paid we could have ordered like half a dozen pizzas and got a case of beer and bottle of liquor to mix our own drinks, best parts of the experience were the chocolate and the cheese, cheese can be recreated easily with some basic kitchen knowledge, and the chocolate wasn't anything too difficult either. Im a fan of upscale dining and such just didn't see much value in the experience.

My experience at this restaurant was not what I was expecting. The service, food, seating, environment, occasion, etc were all perfect. For it being my first time there on a date, the first impression was great. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends. My favorite part of the night other than the dinner was when the owner of the restaurant came down and introduced himself. After doing so he thank us for dinning in for the night and it really seemed like he cared about us having a great night there. I liked that the most. A lot of respect for that.

We go every year for Valentine's Day. This year we went for my birthday and Valentine's Day. I love the creative cooking style and ambiance. This place is good for a date or just to hangout with friends!

The waiter made the whole experience worthwhile! Clay is there to serve and make your experience the best! My teenage son said he has a charismatic personality:) We enjoyed that as soon as you get seated, you get to enjoy drinks and a fondue shortly afterwards. You don't have to wait long periods of time for your meal, but can enjoy each course and the company you are with! Thanks Melting Pot for the celebration package too! Our birthday son enjoyed getting his picture taken with our group and having it framed in the "Melting Pot" frame. He also received a card, flowers and balloons!

If you have never been to a Melting Pot, you have to try it! The whole experience, service, and food are outstanding. This is the third one I have been to and they have all been excellent!

Good the same as all locations. Service wasn’t that great. I had to turn up our cooking broth as it wasn’t even boiling! The server just wasn’t there enough.

Complete disregard of my friends life threatening food allergy - when she told the waiter that she couldn’t eat the food on the same plate as strawberries, he took it around the corner and moved it to a different plate. Manager barely even stopped by the table after I requested to talk to him, no apologies from waiter or manager. I had to call the manager to come back to the table after he dropped a new plate off to confirm that it hadn’t touched a surface with strawberries and to attempt to impress upon him and that this disregard of allergies could kill someone. I will never go back and will tell everyone who mentions it to me not to go either. This all is especially ridiculous given the the high price per person here - you’d think you’re paying enough for them to care at least. Again, no real apologies, certainly not an offer to comp our meal or even part of it - I’ve worked at expensive (non-chain) restaurants before, and this would have been unheard of.

Menu is a little confusing for the first timer but I’ll know what to do the next time. Food was really good - our waiter was overly friendly but kind and helpful. I’ll look forward to going back. It occurred to us it would be a fun dessert spot after the movies etc.

Tried it out for restaurant week prices, enjoyed the novelty. Would return for dessert only. Cooking the meats was too stressful and not enjoyable.

OUR GROUP OF 4 WANTED TO TRY THE MELTING POT FOR RESTAURANT WEEK. WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FUN TO COOK OUR OWN FOOD WHILE ENJOYING A NIGHT WITH FRIENDS, AND WE DID. WE HAD A GREAT TIME COOKING OUR FOOD. WE HAD THREE COURSES AND THERE WERE LOTS OF CHOICES FOR EACH COURSE. THANKS TO OUR WAITRESS, LISA, SHE HELPED US TO PICK OUT OUR SELECTIONS AND SHE WAS DEFINITELY ON POINT, AND THE SUPPORT STAFF WERE ALWAYS THERE FILLING OUR GLASSES OR CHECKING THE HEAT ON THE TABLE COOKTOP. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR MAKING OUR FIRST VISIT TO THE MELTING POT A GREAT EXPERIENCE. SEE YOU AGAIN SOON!

Went as a fun outing with my granddaughter during Restaurant Week. Didn't exactly realize that there would be a main course (they call 'entree') after the cheese fondue and before the chocolate fondue. The upshot is there was enough food for 4 people and we were only two. Shame to waste it. If there was an option to just do the cheese and chocolate, it wasn't made clear. It was fun, though. Next time we'll just order a la carte or only come for dessert.

This restaurant is OUTSTANDING!!! Our server was phenomenal! The food was absolutely delicious! It was such a fun experience. The flavors of the food just danced in our mouth! So amazing! Definitely a favorite and will visit again! We drove over an hour to eat there and it was TOTALLY worth it!
