The Melting Pot - Castleton
Great food and service. Lovely atmosphere🥰
Great food. Server was nice kid and very personable but very slow service overall. I get the sense they were short staffed. 2 hrs and 40 mins from arrival to departure. While this is longer than normal dinner, this is about 40 mins to an hour longer than normal.
Worst experience we’ve ever had there.
We have made it a fall break family tradition. I’m not a fan of every flavor but I do love the variety. The cheeses and chocolate are exceptional (any). I enjoy the addition of the grill option. It’s a dining Experience (it takes time). Greek goddess is to die for (just saying). Overall 5 stars.
We had a server in training and a trainer (Jonathon) and they were both delightful. Both were very engaging and funny. The food was fantastic as always.
It was supposed to a special birthday in the pictures and online was this all beautiful way they presented it. And that is by no means how it can out. That was disappointing. Food was great. Took 20 mins to get a bartender then another 20 to get a waitress. When our oringal waiter did not even address us.
It was a wonderful experience! A wonderful time was had by my husband and I!! We enjoy ourselves each time we go!! Love this place!
Just fantastic all around!
Love the experience and food here. Had the proposal package and it was so romantic and was perfect for our anniversary. Private booth, excellent service, and delicious food.
I always have such a great time here! This restaurant is just such a change of pace compared to other restaurants. I went for my anniversary with my boyfriend and it was amazing. The fondues were so amazing, super flavorful. Definitely recommend the flaming turtle dessert fondue. Also our server, Jonathon, made it even better! Very attentive and made sure our anniversary was great. HIGHLY recommend!
I love coming to The Melting Pot. I always have a great experience. One thing that I would love to see change would be better lighting. I have to turn my cell phone light on to read the menu and I would enjoy my food more if I could see what’s around me.
Called ahead because we were going to miss our time. No problem when we arrived they seated us right away. Our waitress was great and went above and beyond. Food was very great as always. Price is a little steep.
AMAZING food, environment, and staff. LOVE getting to eat at the Melting Pot!
Food was good. Waitstaff was friendly. Tad overpriced
Fun and decent food but terrible service she was very rushed .....and we could not really understand her
It was wonderful! Britany was so kind and sweet. We will definitely be coming back in the future!
Excellent food and service.
I would definitely recommend The Melting Pot to a friend. The ONLY thing I didn't like was that it was not as clean as I expected. I could tell they had a VERY busy night and must not had time to clean the floors between tables. It was overall an amazing experience.
Celebrated my actual birthday day here with 4 course meals for all four people and two burners. We’ve been coming to the Melting Pot for over 15 years and this was our first time trying two burners and the oil cooking method (we usually go coq au vin), and we had a wonderful time trying new things! Can’t believe it took us this long to discover the awesomeness of two burners!!
The place itself was not nice nor was it clean. The foods was not quality food, I’ve had better food at fast food restaurants. Way over priced. The service was extremely slow. Was not a good experience...
The restaurant was busy the evening we decided to attend. With a reservation we waited 35 mins. After we were seated we waited another 30 mins before our waitress even acknowledged us. The manager then stepped in and prepared our appetizer. The burner at our table used to heat the broth for the main course, was very weak and finally had the pot to the normal temperature as we finished. Overall it was a bad experience and we would have left if it were not the first experience for two of us.
Typically our service is excellent. This time, our waitress was overloaded. She had a lot of tables. The beginning of our dining was excellent but after the entree, it turned extremely slow. Of course, it is a slower pace restaurant but this was extremely slow paced. Food was excellent as usual.
The food was exceptional and if you go during devour indy. You get so much delicious food for a reasonable price. Our only concern was we felt like our reservation didnt get us in any sooner. It felt as though they just sat people whenever they came in which made us late getting seated.
The Melting Pot was a great experience, though you should plan on it taking a long time. We went with another couple ,and it was a great time with great food.
Server dripped sweat into my dad’s water..told couldn’t take leftover cheese b/c it was too hot..went through 3 to go lids before finding one that was clean..server used his hand to scoop cheese into pot for fondue then wiped it on his dirty apron..wrong dressing on my Dad’s salad but he took it because we had waited so long for them that he just wanted to eat..dinner took 4 hours unnecessarily..$166 later there was a bandaid on the entrance rug as we left. A manager should be doing table visits for the price of the dinner experience. We never even saw a manager or a person who appeared to be in charge. My father paid and didn’t complain because it was my birthday dinner. My husband tipped $50 cash to the server. I want my father’s credit card to be reimbursed. I do not want a gift card because I will never ever step into that circus again.
We went for a birthday celebration and had reservations. Arrived on time and had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated. The hostess staff was rude and unprofessional. I have been to this location many times and always have had a great experience except for this time, very disappointing.
Food was great! Our server, Brittany, did a fantastic job! I didnt get the name of the hostess but she was pleasant and went out of her way to help us with a pic. Thanks to all for the great dining experience
First time I haven't been overly impressed here. Food was fine and service was just ok. It seemed like the restaurant itself was starting to loose it's appeal and cleanliness.
The food was tiny portions not good, prep food was not seasoned good enough for taste. They brought out a small bowl of vegetables for the two of us to split. The food was horrible. It's too expensive for the portions they give, first time left a place still hungry and ill. Not enough bread given for dipping. My first time and my last time. The dessert was the only thing they were good for. Also hated we had to cook it.
Wonderful meal! Amazing service. I can't say enough about how great the entire staff was.
Great food and great service! Went for the devour Indy menu.
We had a really nice time! Corbin was an awesome server! Food was delicious! Thank you!
So good!!! We love spending special occasions at Melting Pot!
Gretchen was PHENOMENAL hostess and I suggest the private rooms for a more intimate affair.
I brought my boyfriend in for the first time. We were sat in a private little corner booth. It was absolutely perfect.
Our waitress was brand new, her name was Jo, was amazing! She didn’t miss a single beat.
Sangria...wasn’t very good, took a sip, stirred, one more sip, and just sent it back. Other than that, we have absolutely zero complaints!
Having the restaurant week menu to order from was awesome too. We will for sure be back.
We’ve been the the melting pot before but I have to agree with other reviewers who have said the place is not what it used to be. We had long periods of time where we were waiting on our server between courses. At one point the water had evaporated from the pots and begun to smell. I had to go ask someone to remove them. From the point, our server seemed dismayed with us. We ran out of water often and one glass was broken but still presented. Our checks (split for two families) were not initially correct but were fixed promptly so we could make our scheduled plans.
The bathrooms were not well maintained. One stall in the women’s restroom kept getting stuck - evidently an ongoing issue according to the hostess. There was debris (paper towels or toilet paper) in the hall outside of the restroom - many servers walked past without attempting to pick it up.
The rose petals on our table for the birthday girl was a nice touch. The plain print paper that said thanks for coming for your birthday, looked cheap and wasn’t necessary. We may go back for dessert sometime, but will not return for a full meal.
Staff is keen to celebrate your event with you. Birthdays, anniversary, office event, they are glad to make your meal memorable. Portions are perfect. No chance of stuffing yourself quickly, but leave feeling quite full. Our cheese was wonderful, and entrees fried nicely in the oil medium. Our chocolate course "broke" a bit, requiring some vigorous mixing and heat adjustment, but turned out as delicious as the rest. Will always return, will always recommend.
Our group had a wonderful time. Didn't like one of the cheese fondue's we tried so they were gracious enough to let us get another one.
I love to eat at the melting pot! Whether I have an occasion or just dinner the service and food is always exceptional. It is a great experience every time!!
